Yeah modded cars are pretty pointless on OFW unless you're only modding power or drivetrain, seeing as anything aesthetically modded makes whatever it is look/sound stock to other people. Only way to get round that is CFW.

How would PD alter your PS3 software so that your USB doesn't show up when trying to backup a save?

If Sony did it to you that's pretty sneaky but I don't know, never heard of a case like this before.
