funny stuff... is there anyway to do that in GT4? Or even wheely a car? If someone has down it can you post a setup :dopey:

You can get some serious air (and not have to "crash" into barriers) if you drive on "El Capitan" reverse. Just before you enter the underpass there is an incline in the road and if you can take that fast enough (150+ mph) you will fly outta control, do a few 360's, slam the top of the tunnel and miraculously not fly over the barrier and over the cliff..................the landing is pretty cool too cause you will do a few 360's and if you time it correctly you can control your car, after landing, and take off in the right direction without stopping or stalling.

I've got a vid of the Porsche GT1 '98 flipping at Petit Le Mans .

The flip had a lot to do with the fact that the car was drafting closely on a slight downward incline. In the draft the car lost a lot of downforce and as the course dropped away a bit of air got under the GT1 and the thing just took off like a wing. With no downforce to hold it down, the wing shape of the car created lift which was not balanced by downforce - result? LIFT OFF.

The flip happened afterward as wind resisitance flipped the car - but only AFTER the car had taken off aerodynamically...

I always thought it was a gust of wind that was needed if not a car infront to make the car flip. I haven't been able to do it so far but I've been trying to keep the setting realistic.

I got up to 270MPH at Le Sarthe II but never flew... I tried to keep it as realistic settings as possible but it just won't do it, not even drafting the other cars. :grumpy:

It's easy on the test-course. I've done it in a TVR Cerbera (stock other than stage 4 turbo). On the bend at 245mph, flick left then hard right, pull the hand-brake and you'll hit the barrier and fly like bird.
I seem to remember it's possible on one of the rally track (swiss alps i think), come down the straight and there's a huge jump a the end, try it in any nitro'd rally car and you'll fly straight into the mountain. I'm fairly sure this is the only place you can get enough lift to actually jump another car as well.
