I mean, dude, it says "premium" when you select the car.

Kaz said there aren't cockpits. It's written all over the official site. I don't get people sometimes. :ouch:

+1 👍

Not only is the Stingray is premium car but they didn't rush anything, it has FULL interior modelling like the other cars.

The reason you can hardly see the dash (dash sinks away and causes a constant hard shadow) is because the design of the dash and GT5's hard lighting engine.

The moment I saw this thread title I knew it was another Stingray revelation, not the first by far.

Your not crazy. As mentioned there are a few threads where the stingray is mentioned as a semi premium of sorts.

its no wonder why you can see anything...

Semi-premium? Maybe by people that don't know what they're talking about. The rest of us think it's a full-blown premium car.

I also like that people bring up the wipers on Standards. If there's no interior view, there's no need for wipers. Not that difficult.

I guess I'm just crazy then...

Here is the thing, we were all hoping that it wasn't true. But now that (almost) everyone has gotten over it...

Bringing it back up is like seeing some distant aunt at the grocery. It's awkward and lame. :)

D oyou guys really have to throw these users' hope away like that? You're all so cold.

Well, whatever the car is, standard, premium, semi-premium, its really not that serious...All I'm saying is that seen the difference and it seemed suspicious and I thought I should share.

The Stingray with a roof is a standard car but the one with a vynal roof or whatever it is, the convertable or whatever.. is a premium. Simple really.

Agreed. Besides, why would you want an interior view anyways? To check out the virtual dashboard and the virtual cup holders?

Because for me, although I used it prior to GT5P, one of the biggest negatives of bumper view for me = every car looks the same!! Pause the game - am I driving an MX-5 or a Ford GT? Who the hell knows. What color car did I buy again ...

Second negative for me being that a bumper view is totally unrealistic. You're free to use the view you want, and I'm free to use cockpit view and only drive the Premiums.

It's a credit to Polyphony that they did such a nice job with the interiors in Prologue that now I don't want to go back. :)

I love interior view, it just makes me really feel like I'm driving the car.
Before I used either bumper cam or tail cam, then in GT5P my brother introduced me to cockpit view and oh....my.... my lap times improved.

Im not the biggest critic because I race, I don't sit there and compare inside views of 458's with photos with the game, I just want to sit in the cockpit and drive, but oh well.....

(in the GT5 vs Forza 3 ISR episode thats gonna be a con)

Standard cars will not have cockpits.

I'll say it again.

Standard cars will not have cockpits.

One more time...

Standard cars will not have cockpits.

I drove that Premium Stingray in one of the demos at Bestbuy, and the interior looks much better on the actual TV that you are playing on than the off screen videos that are showing up. The Stingray is definately Premium and has an accurate modeled interior. I drove it on the "Ring", and it does get dark on the darker parts of the track, but out in the sun, it is very visible.

If the stingray is premium, it can't look that sh**ty in real life...
Somebody said similar about the VW camper van..."surely the interior can't look that rubbish". Er, yeah, it can...it's OLD.

Sorry, but your efforts are wasted and source inconsistent with the other two cars in terms of lighting - THE STINGRAY IS PREMIUM.

Nero9 pretty much nailed it.
