Is your car in GT4?

no but almost...

ive owned..

84 VW Jetta GLi - 76 wabbit is the closest in the game
89 Jetta - same deal
88 civic lx - 90 crx si would be the closest i guess
81 firebird - maybe one of the older camaros...

i guess my cars are / were to crappy to be in GT4 :)

About 90% of people who say they have Ferrari's online are lying..

nopics = lies :lol:

My car, 2003 Nissan Altima 3.5SE didn't make it into the game, unfortunately. Out of all the Nissan's in GT4, I don't see why they didn't include it.

I was actually joking. Didn't think anyone would take me seriously :ouch:

I drive a Dodge Dakota.

Somehow PD didn't get the Mazda3, but they still have a protege.

Both of mine are in. I've got a PT Cruiser (although mine's the European version, so 2 .0) and I've also got a Fiat Barchetta.

They seem to be modelled quite well, although my Barchetta will do 75mph in 2nd before the rev limiter stops you. I think the suspension on the Barchetta in the game is softer than mine, but again it could be that the European version is set-up differently, or it could be the game.

All in all though, the game captures something of both cars, particularly in the weight transfer department.

No dammit!!! They dropped it from the line-up. GT3 had my '93 Protege ('cept theirs was the turbo model) Got the little puppy up to 393hp!! She was my go to car for nearly half the game.

My friend Bill had a '70 Chevelle SS that would have killed any version you can create with GT4. 396 with custom supercharger, hand polished pistons and cylinders and a crap load of other mods, it was the most feared car in Burlington for many years. He forgot to close the baffles on the header system one day and blew out his neighbour's windows starting her up!!!LOLOLOL!!

I own a metallic black Alfa Romeo 147 2.0 litre twinspark. Soon to be upgraded to a GTA though. It is represented and the 'bogey' green colour in alfa section is not available in real life unless you have it personally painted.

I posted pics in the other thread...

I have a 01 VW GTI (2door) vr6....so the closest would be the R32 as far as looks (2 door MK4 body). The engine is a 3.2 rather than my 2.8, but its a v6....oh yeah, lets not forget AWD.

My other car, is a 04 Scion xB. Yes its in the game but the scion has the japanese (bB) rear hatch and bumper.

Neither my car nor its manufacturer are in the game. I share with my mom a '94 Plymouth Acclaim. We got it used; it's a dumpy looking thing...but the previous owner put a different engine than the stock in it. It's even got a supercharger. 👍 Like Han Solo said: "She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts."

Well, mine isn't exactly, but close.

I've owned:
1987 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 (nothing even close in the game)
1986 Honda Accord hatchback (GT4 has the 88 Coupe. got that puppy up to 202hp in GT4!)
1999 Mercury Cougar V6 (I was really hoping this would be in GT4, but, alas, it wasn't meant to be)
1989 Ford Mustang GT hatchback (nothing even close in the game)
My current car(s). 1989 Nissan 240SX S13(I have a coupe and a hatch donor car). I've got a 96 240SX S13 fastback in the game. Closest to the coupe would be a S13 Silvia Q's, I think.

OK, something I noticed about the 240SX fastback in GT4. The car in there is basically a JDM 180SX Type X. It has the SR20DET, whereas the USDM has the KA24DE (mines the KA24E, SOHC version). It also has the Kouki (180SX) taillights, not the USDM 240SX tailliaght. The spoiler is also the Type X spoiler, not the foam USDM spoiler.

OK, sorry I'm such a stickler for details.

BTW, thats my first post on GTP!

Oh no, a pignose owner! :) Yup, PD just stuck 240SX badges on a JDM S13 for the American versions. They did the same on the S14 240SX too.

Heres mine after coming out of a long (engine blowing up due to too high boost) rebuild.... front grill and front bonnet vent about to be re-fitted.
Car is now modified in a GT4 esque way - has uprated suspension (camber adj, height adj, strengthened etc) larger turbo, head re-worked, ship change, larger intercooler, 3 inch system, uprated brakes, quickshift, racing clutch and lightened flywheel..... guess power is now at about 280/290bhp
Im still waiting for the white one to come up for sale in the used car lot (think its day 524?)

I'm a Z car nut, and, have had a 79, 80, 81, and 83 280 ZX (the latter a turbo model).

In gran turismo, there is a 78 280 which is close to my cars, slight differences in the body, etc.

In real life, I've been wanting to get my hands on a 240z, such as in the game, and transplant my turbo engine, 5spd tranny.

I also have a friend who owns a Corrolla Levin, although his was just an 85 (i think) Corrolla with a really hot 22R. They owned this car while his parents were based in germany and had to have it detuned with different intake, exhaust, etc, to meet US regulations. Soon as he took over ownership, he purchased the parts to retune it. I can remember this little car destroying 5.0 mustangs, camaros, other foreign cars, in drag and stoplight racing.

Plus it was a promise to win the burnout competitions. Hey, atleast the winnings pay for tires!

As to comparison, I didn't like the overal low performance of the old Z cars on the game. Granted, they do perform well, the 240Z with 288hp is not alot faster then my real life 79 280zx, which weighs more, but had a little tweaking done to the engine.

Well since I drive a 85 Chevy 4x4 Truck and a 90 GEO Tracker I have given up an my vehicals EVER being in any Gran Turismo game...

Although a GEO Tracker is just a Suzuki Sidekick AKA Suzuki Escudo... So I guess you could say the Pike's Peak Escudo would be the closest thing to what I have... Although I doubt my GEO could make it up Pike's Peak at all...

Mine's in...

Honda Prelude (5th Gen)
Nissan 240SX (S14)

Too bad PD didn't include my girlfriend's Camry, it'll be fun to see how that car perform on the track.

Very nearly, I drive a '94 Civic ESi (125bhp, VTEC if the models are different) so it's like the Sir II in game (I think), just hasn't been tweaked as much. Same shape, weight and colour, and even the wheel trims are the same :)

Sadly, both of mine aren't in the game! :grumpy:

I drive a very sensible 2004 Ford Mondeo 2.0 LX TDI, but in the garage is my project car! A 1971 Dodge Challenger 440 R/T! To tell the truth I was very surprised, and a tad upset, that Polyphony included the 440 R/T Charger but neglected to include the Challenger. Not that the Charger is a bad car, it's just that I've always loved the Challenger ever since watching one of the best films ever made, 'Vanishing Point'!

See my sig for my car.... closest thing in the game is the '00 megane Coupe 2.0 16v.... though mine is the 5dr hatch back

correction i now drive an '04 Skoda Fabia 1.9 Tdi kombi (closest car to that is the Seat Ibiza or VW polo)

Of course it is as the maker of the game owns not one but two. I have a highly modified 350Z track edition with the Nismo bodykit designed by Polyphony Digital.
This is the version St wheel option in the game with Nismo Z or R tune bodykit. My car however has a fully custom interior, stereo, and a top secret engine.
My daily drive to work is like playing GT4. will post pics soon
