It has been 5 years since the release of GT4

How much time do you spend playing it, nowadays? I've been switching between (don't hate:nervous:) *cough*forza3*cough* and GT4, lately, but I just had enough for now of that game so here I am again, trying to go for 100% completion on GT.
Wonderful game, so good that even now I enjoy it as much as I did back in the day.

Nothing wrong with Forza. It's got plenty of stuff I wish was in GT4: customization, damage, sponsorship. GT4 has Forza beat in other ways, of course. Both games have their merits, basically.

Unfortunately life has kept me quite busy so I can hardly put an hour or three a week in GT4. Still, the driving missions are even more fun than the first time I attempted them a long while ago - funny how they push me from driving fast round a track to actual racing :D

I stopped playing GT4 in 2007. Real life commitments mainly, when they finished (Well, when I finished college) I never thought to start playing again. I Started again late 2009 because I got bored waiting for GT5 basically.

And now i'm addicted to it again :ill: Stupid PD making such brilliant games, with so much depth that they never get boring... :indiff:

 Damn PD! HOw dare they be so awesome!

I play around 10 hour's a week, Sadly. Then like three day's ago my game went corrupted and I thought I would be pissed. Now I feel different, I'm almost excited to restart, I have to Tune on a budget again! Instead of dropping 500,000 like nothing. Exciting!

I think I spend about 3~5? hours on playing it on my PS2, well I began playing it again yesterday. Hadn't played it at all recently.

Wow, 5 years. gee
I only have had my ps2 for about a year.
every few months when i get around 25-50% my data will corrupt which has a tendensy to turn me off from GT4 for a few weeks then i'll start again and double save.

What does annoy me is the lack of some cars in the game: ferrari, Lamborghini, Masarrati, Porsche, Morgan, Alot of Aston Martins. And that i have found no updates for it.

Other than that this past year of gaming has been one of the best in my life.

Every now and then I go back to it and play it. Surprisingly for a game that was released five whole years ago it still kicks. I can still play it for hours but, now days its a less serious play. I mostly just to power laps or Nurburgring lap time comparisons or take photos with Photomode. But that said, each time I fire up GT4 or even GT5 Prologue it makes me want GT5 even more. That fact annoys me.

I can't play it. My PS3 won't play PS2 games and I don't have the PS2 console any more. It's no real loss with GT4 since I only thought it was decent, but I would really like to play GT3 because that's been my favourite one out of the whole series. I also wish I could go back to GT and GT2 but since my PS3 won't play those either I'm sorta stuck.

Jay
All PS3's play PS1 games, unlike PS2 games.

Talk to my PS3 then, it won't. I put a PS game in and it'll start but the controller lag is ridiculous and all it does is freeze up. It's not just GT and GT2 either, it's everyone of my PS games.

I played daily for a number of hours from release date up to June last year ... which is when I bought LOTRO.

What a time-sink that game is! I thought the GT series was bad for eating my life but LOTRO has it beaten hands down in that regard!

I still get the itch to fire up the PS2 and do some driving, particularly after watching some racing ... one day I shall succumb and revel once more in the sounds of engines ...

I am at 95% or so...don't know exactly...
2 months ago I tried to change the left silver medals (5 or so) to gold...
I have to say the driving is quiet different to gt5p... but I learned quiet shortly driving that way... so I did the gold with the audi lemans on infinion...really a big feeling!
oh..and 2 or 3 of the endurance races are also left... and cause i am too lazy at the moment I will let "specki" (b-spec) drive it after I got a calming lead before...

Since PS3 broke a month ago about 5 hours a week, but now its half term... let the all nighters begin!

I play it whenever I can, 21 hours a week minimum. I'm at around 84% and that hasn't changed for months.

lol I'm at 62% or something and it's been like that for literally years. Since 2007 or something.

lost interest in it after I reached 100% but that is because I have all golds and am only missing a Suzuki or a honda from having all the cars in the game.

If any of you have any suggestions on what to do in gt4 that i might not have done yet please open up. I still love playing it.

How realistic are the physics in GT4 compared to GT5P or Forza 3? I'm thinking about playing it again to warm up for GT5, but I don't want it to make my driving skills worse.

I'm playing GT4 right now, in fact. Couldn't hit up the PS3, so I decided to fool around in the trusty old PS2. Found a San Andreas 100% run in half and started playing. Since I'm used to passing missions easily nowadays, I went easy on the safehouse visits and eventually failed a mission after passing a bunchload without saving. Decided to scrap that - loaded up GT4 and started playing! Can't wait to get a wheel, I've got some serious training to do until November.

Every Friday night I take on an enduro or FGT race for 200pts. Still have about 8k-10k more Aspec points to squeeze out of it. Take on the "M Club" manufacturers race at the 'Nurb for 200pts, that will get your heart pumping. Or maybe "GTAll stars" series for 200pts each.......or maybe.....hell any race for 200pts will get the juices flowing.👍👍

I have not played GT4 in several years. I think the last time I checked I was about 50%. Since I have been introduced to the Forza series, it has consumed almost all my racing needs. However I really am looking forward to GT5. Hopefully they stick to the 2010 release date.
