For those of you who live in some countries outside of America or Europe, you may or may not celebrate Father's Day (which is typically in June where I live). This is a day on which you buy gifts for Dad, like a tie or a golf bag or something "Father-ish". I usually buy my dad a book--mostly since I have no idea what else to get him. :guilty:

I'm asking you to pretend it's Father's Day, and also pretend you have an unlimited budget. :)

Which GT4 car would you buy for Dad? It has to be a car in GT4, but you should pretend you're buying him a car in real-life.

So for my dad, the '65 Alfa Romeo Giulia GTA 1600 would be choice. When I was young, he used to jokingly say "son, grow up and make some money so you can buy me an old Alfa!" There ya go, Dad! :D

A second choice would be the Corvette C1, but he's mentioned the Alfa so many times over the years I almost feel (if I ever make any damn money) obligated to buy it for him!

I'd probably get Dad the '64 GTO, because he always was an old Pontiac fan.

my dad wouldn't drive a single car in GT4, regardless of unlimited budget, he knows a nice car = nice chance of it being stolen..

He's also keen on fuel efficiency, but in any case, he's loving the Toyota Camry '07

If i could guess, it'd probably be a Subaru Impreza Spec C (even though it consumes quite an amount of gas)

For me, it's an Lotus Elise 111R (just to cover for the fact my dad isn't an enthusiast)

My dad's a Ford fan and he loves the F150, so SVT Lightning all the way. His current truck is an '02 2x4 F150, uses it for his surveying jobs. Of course, by the time I have made enough money to buy him a car he probably won't be working and won't need a truck. But at least for now, the Lightning is perfect because it is essentially a sporty pickup and I think he would really like it.

For my Dad it'd have to be the new Audi S4. (The V8 one)

He's been really impressed by the ones he gets to drive for work every now and then.
(Part-time executive rental delivery driver, has had a Bentley Continental GT break down on him!!! and gets to drive Porsche Carrera 4S and Boxters occasionally too! The Bentley folks even called him back a week later to see if he was satisfied with their roadside assistance (fixing the misfire in cylinder 12) and he didn't have the heart to tell them he was driving his own 2001 Toyota Corolla at the time!!)

After that he'd probably go for a Lexus IS200, which he also prefers driving to the BMW 3 series and Mercedes C-Classes, as he says the handling is sharper.

Thinking about it, it's probably the IS250s he drives now as the cars are mostly almost new, but the IS200 he's driven in the past, and the IS250 isn't actually in the game, so IS200 it is as 2nd choice!

my dad would have a torana XU-1. well on gt4 it would be a monaro

Funny thing is, a few days ago me & my dad were watching some rallies on ESPN that were held in Australia. There were a bunch of cars..new and old, and one of the older ones was an early 70s Monaro. "What is that?" my Dad asked. "well that's the equivalent to the Australian version of our Camaro, Dad" I said. "Holden is Australia's GM division"

...I don't know if all that was true, but it was cool to actually feel smarter than him for a change. :D

I would get my dad a Mercedes-Benz 190E. A supercar would just end up in the trees.

Yeah, my Dad's always been a Ford fan, too. He just got an '05 Focus wagon. I was hoping he'd go for broke and get a new T-bird instead....:grumpy: Oh well.

I'd get him the Mitsubishi Lancer 1600 GSR. He used to rally one a long time ago and has said that the one thing he regrets is selling it.

Definitely a Bimmer. I think he'd like the M5: lots of performance, but still luxurious. However, he would like the driving performance more. Other than that, probably a BMW 2002 Turbo.

As you can guess, he is a fan of BMWs.
