It's not fun anymore

Dude, when you can run laps faster than me, then you can talk to me like that.

I am no fan boy. I enjoy the game for what it is instead of constantly bickering and bitching like all the *cough* newbs *cough* on here lately. Who gives a crap about skidmarks and particles. As long as the graphics are the same as Prologue, I'm happy. I personally didn't think that the sounds in Prologue were all that bad either. Physics in the demo, IMO, are a step in the right direction.

And you know my times how?

1. Standard road cars have somewhat soft suspensions and are not designed in any way for drifting applications. Of course we have all seen videos on car shows showcasing the Z drifting, but these were done at low speeds for TV spots. You are experiencing slides in GT5D at the limits of the car's cornering ability, the reaction of the chassis will be MUCH faster, moreso in a street car with soft dampening, it will snap as the weight takes too much time to transfer to the tires to provide traction to snap it back into shape.

2. I don't think you have enough seat time with GT5D. I cannot catch any slides higher than 15 degrees on the Z tuned and it's all because of the tires. When going into a small slide, you will feel the tires bouncing trying to keep traction and then SNAP, you're off into the grass. That's the nature of a slick tire.

3. Agreed.

Hahahahaha this is so pathetic. "You're a bulgarian, so your argument is irrelevant". If you canadians are so much hot ****, why can't you explain why drifts are impossible in the game, while I can find you videos with cars drifting with all kinds of tires.

Umm, maybe because the purpose of the demo is to go fast? The cars are not set up to drift. Really wish people would stop trying, you're making yourself look stupid.

And nobody said anything about you being a bulgarian and having an irrelevant argument, so I believe you went too far there with the canadian remark.

Actually, Div did say just that very thing:

Considering you're in Bulgaria I'll take it you drive Pinto's on your race track so if you'll excuse us while we disregard your opinions.

What's with the jingoism? [INSERT DEITY HERE] help me if someone holds my driving accountable to ... or ...'s foreign policy.

It's not you, indeed. It's some desperate guy ending in the grass half the time. And this seems to be the best drift this demo can do. He needed an extra sleep after he did this probably. Maybe we will find one day a better guy which will break his arms on the steering wheel to prove new masochistic oversteer physics is really good and he will enjoy his success in a hospital :sly:

I can drift the tuned car fairly well with the controller without spinning out. Not on purpose really, just in an attempt to go faster than my little fingers can take me.

Very nice drifting, really. The point is its much much harder than drifting a real car. Now pleeease don't give me the "you don't feel the g's with your arse argument", because we all know there are simulation oriented games where you can pretty much do it without breaking your fingers. And what's more-you can drift but with the controller, get behind the wheel and it gets impossible. How is that real? Maybe we should drive real cars with pads so we can finally call GT as good as the real thing.
To you am a troll, but to me you refuse to face reality and admit GT has to be improved. As long its GT you're ready to fight but call it imperfect.

This guy doesn't have a hard time drifting it on a wet track. Actually he said it was very easy and fun. Doesn't sound like GT TT to me.

Yeah... I missed that. Still, we don't need any of that going around here. 👎
Exactly, that's why I got so angry. Unfortunately a guy who doesn't even know where Bulgaria is ruins the image of the forum.

P.P. Stock cars surely aren't set up to drift, right? Still that doesn't stop the guys at TOP GEAR drifting anything powerful with rwd.

PRo settings with zero assists, the tuned model is much easier to handle so that should give you a hint. This isn't a full out demo, this is just for GT Academy i'm sure PD will give out a demo near release that is more casual friendly. If your getting frustrated just download a ghost trail and learn how the top drivers achieved there times.

I really don't get it, Me and my 370z's bonded as soon as i hit the first "Sharp right" After that i knew it was a whole different ball park then prologue.

Any body else notice all the new members? no doubt we will hit 2000.000+ members by the end of 2010 if this keeps up.

Fanatec said some time ago that GT4 had understeer and oversteer FFB info but in GT5: P it was gone. But im not sure yet if this is just the FFB or is something else wrong. In LFS drifting is quite easy even with FFB off but i can not say if that is realistic or not either.(you can not turn FFB off from a real car :) )

I'm enjoying the demo a lot 👍 For me it's a massive improvement on GT5P hands down!
When the full GT5 game comes out and if it has the same physics engine it will probably end up with me losing days at my job and much less contact with my wife and kids as I will be locked away in the bedroom racing away to the wee small hours without a care in the world ;)

In short... If this demo is a glimpse of things to come then I am 100% sold for sure

I agree 100% you there! 👍

👍 I also posted that vid in another thread. I think only those who have drifted in real life agree with you and me.

+1... Been driving the new physics for a while now and I must say I like them A LOT.... Didnt in the beginning but once you get down how the physics behave under certain circumstance it becomes very fun and rewarding indeed... IMO theyre headed in the right direction..

I already have a few vacation days set aside when the game is released. :dopey:👍

By your comments you must feel as i do that GT has more of an arcade feel to it than a sim, it's not on my wish list. I just wish SCC did what it says on the label.

I'm not saying that at all. :dunce:

Well said and I have to agree with you fully.
