I think I have some tips on how to enjoy Gran Turismo 6 without getting fustrated that there is no update this month:

1. Contribute on photomode forums on gtplanet. This could be a good idea to kill time because if there is one thing that kept me playing the game since I first bought it is the photomode and posting photos on gtplanet.

2. Create videos. Another way that would make the wait for the next update less painful is to make videos on the game. It is recommended however to actually get friends to watch your stuff because it is boring to just spend time on videos that nobody will watch. One example is to create stop motion animation with GT6's photomode.

3. Actually get friends to play online with you. Even though it is sad that GT6's online lobbies are "dumbed down" compared to GT5, I did have a lot of fun playing with my friends online because I wasn't playing with 13 year olds that mess around with X1s and my game has no lag.

These are just tips and if you disagree with me, then I guess its gonna be painful waiting for that update.

I agree with the 1st part. I can't imagine how many hours I've spent breaking in to cars and posting them, along with looking at other pics. I didn't do it much on GT5 but now it's possibly my favorite hobby

But gt5 doesn't have the 100 cars I want to set up with nitrous.
 
Maybe they got it wrong again, and they actually meant GT6.

The news ticker in GT6 actually referred to GT5 by mistake as well at one point. Said "Seasonal Events in GT5 have now been updated", or something along those lines anyway.
 
 
 
If Jordan knew anything, he could tow the line by saying "soon" with no details...

At this point it's becoming more of a question of 'if' as much, if not more than 'when'.

Tracks and cars simply don't count... It's Been a 3rd of a year, Offical reduction in price, and no communication that is fueling the fire... Failing to deliver on hopes of dlc is one thing, but when those features are officially announced and on the box? That's about as gratuitous of a mistake as any.

Even some fela in the middle of the woods with no internet is wondering about this back of the box bullet points... It makes me wonder when the 'coming soon' gets edited off the website...

I've put myself in the mindset that GT6 is an abandoned project, so seeing GT5 get maintenance is absolutely hilarious! :lol: :lol:

It really is hilarious. I didn't even see that coming, I thought GT5's updates would've ended because of GT6. :P

Any chance they could be shifting features from GT5 to GT6? Obviously even I have no idea what I mean but perhaps it's a possibility? Are the two games similar enough to, for example, cut and paste the online shuffle from one platform to the other?

I love PD for this. Lots of "gimme gimme gimme" and "I want my update" posts in this thread, and when they finally see an update on the website, it's not for GT6. :lol:

No. Every previous seasonal has had two week of leaderboard registration period and 2 weeks after that. Even GT5 was this way.

Thanks fir the clearup man. Im okay with waiting if i have to. I mean id love to be racing around my own tracks with at least a few dlc cars.(not vgt) like the m4 and ft-1. But all in due time. When you work 40 hours a week Gt is important but waiting is doable.
 
What the 🤬 is PD doing? So they work on an older game that has FAR less problems but DON'T fix a game that has lots of problems (aka GT6). Very illogical from PD.:rolleyes:
 
People can complain and make fun of posters and say they're being selfish and demanding and while there may be some of that, at some point it's going to be PD begging people "please please please buy our game" if they continue to raise hopes of fans and put out pre-release feature lists they never fully realize. People will start to think every time someone from PD opens their mouth that it's a joke (if we actually ever hear from someone from PD!). I'm not saying PD won't come through on GT6 and finally deliver what was advertised but it's sad to think they would just let GT6 wither and be lost in the spring rush of new games. You can't continue to hold people's attention without delivering on what you advertise.

So come on PD, don't let us down.. :(
