October 31st. Same day as my uncle's. It makes it extremely awesome, I'll be spending that day clowning around with him.

Hey! Me too (not the Cardiff bit)

The best date for a birthday if you ask me, because you just know your parents were dreading their child being born on Halloween.

Since I can no longer be a broke mini trucker or a broke college student, I guess I'll have to be a slight less impoverished college graduate....or Indiana Jones, that one always works.

Apparently I have to dress up at work next week because we have trick or treating downtown. I guess I'll need to dress up regardless.

Theile: actually, it's evolved from a now no-longer practiced religous Holiday on 1st November, all saints day. it was formerly all hallows eve, when you were allowed to goof off before the big religous holiday. it's an american thing. that in itself should answer a lot of questions. but I know there's gonna be some out there that say "it's not a Yank thing". it's more of a private holiday. if you mean by "public holiday" what we call a "political holiday", of course not. the next one of those is 11 November.

Was supposed to be partying tonight but instead I'm stuck at home still slightly out of it. Been sick since Wednesday and only now starting to recover. :indiff: Was looking forward to dressing up as Caution Man. (basically me covered in caution tape and lots of random caution signs) The AMC Fearfest has been keeping me happy tho. Nothing like cheesy horror movies to pass the time when you're sick.

The robot costume will be coming together this week. I got a big box from best buy, now I just need a plan....

Frankly I just enjoy driving through the local University a bunch of times. Who knew Halloween was also "Hot Chicks Wearing Barely Anything" day?

Damn kids ruining my plans. My wife bought the typical assorted candy and also small bags of Doritos and Cheetos (an 18 count box). Based on how much leftover we had last year, I figured I'd have plenty of the chips left to gorge myself on tonight. Of the 15 kids that have come, 14 have taken chips*...

I'll just have to run to the store and get my own (not small) bag! :dopey:

In New Zealand, Halloween is nothing you get about two groups of people going to your house, and that's it... my auntie and Uncle from the U.S.A sent me some fake teeth, and Tootsies (very weird Lollipops) and i later told her that Halloweenie in't that big in NZ...
P.S. Has anyone heard of the movie Fragments, or Winged Creatures? my uncle wrote the book, i feel proud :D

It's pretty much nothing in Australia too. A lot of people wouldn't even know it was halloween. Theday was a normal saturday for me, sport (cricket) and pub. ( :D ) The only reason i knew it was halloween was because of forums like this and there were a few special halloween shows on TV here and there. Otherwise i wouldn't have even known it was halloween.

Tonight I learned how to breathe fire (via butane), make a miniature bong out of a prescription medicine bottle and a Capri Sun straw (I don't smoke, a friend does, but it gives new meaning to the term "medicinal marijuana"), and make a MacGyver-style light bulb with a battery charger and a No.2 pencil. I didn't know modern pennies are about 85% lead either; take a torch to one and you see how thin a shell that copper is.

And tru'dat about the scantily-clad women. Cruising Old Town tonight was interesting. I dropped a drunk friend off at his house; he threw up right as he was getting out of my car, where a gorgeous girl was rummaging in her trunk not three yards away. It's cold as hell out too, and there were some awesomely short shorts out there.

I learned from my weekend trip that Halloween is now an excuse for girls to dress in the nicest possible way....I arrived at my friend's house and the first person I saw in Tesco was a stunning, tall leggy blonde dressed in a PVC police outfit complete with handcuffs and knee high boots just casually buying a loaf of bread.

Halloween is awesome.

You didn't get the memo about that? I think that's the only reason Halloween is any fun.

Went to friend's house party then went downtown drunk as hell. I was one of the Blues Brothers again, but it wasn't the same not being able to drive my cop car haha.

Here's my friend as Billy Mays!

Another one of my friend's decided he'd be Mario haha.

Two of my friend's decided on being beer maids, but for some reason changed it to being ballerina's.

Another friend was baby jesus. Possibly the funniest costume of the night.

Another was a pretty good zombie!

Downtown was amazing. Got there at around 11pm and stayed till 4am! It was nuts. Here's some pictures from the club we went to.

I really wish I'd have thought of that, purely for the amount of room it would have taken up at the bar.
