Yes. I am the problem. Not the marketing which is no way reflects anything of substance.
You made the accusation that the ad is trying to turn you into a transvestite. That idea has no basis in reality, itā€™s all in your head. Thatā€™s why the problem is with you - not with the ad.
Didn't you see videos of people shooting cans of Bud Light? Or tipping it out into a bin?

One video is enough to alienate an entire group of customers. Which it did and now the company is in trouble.
Sure, the transphobic group has certainly been alienated. But that doesnā€™t mean that the purpose of the sponsorship was to tell everyone that they must become transvestites. That message only exists in your own head, because itā€™s what you want the adā€™s message to be, because such an interpretation allows you to vent your frustration with liberalism and individual freedom and blame it all on Bud Light.

Ironically, the Bud Light sponsored video did succeed in turning you into drama queens.
 
Perhaps it does but that's not an excuse to destroy your brand's image.
Brands should be free to advertise their image however they choose without worrying a bunch of conservatives (who love to champion themselves the protectors of free speech & haters of cancel culture) will ironically throw a bitch fit when they see a Bud Light ad & go, "Oh my god, a transgender person!"

I must admit, I can't get too excited for EV supercars and hypercars. I know they have advantages over internal combustion engines but damn, are they boring! Imagine one day watching F1-EV- no whining rotaries, no thunderous V12s, just a low humming "zzzzzz" šŸ„±

An F1 car with a V12? Now that's something I haven't heard in a long long time.

1.6 litre V6s - that's the future!

Formula E just turned 10 this year. Seems a lot of people do like to imagine that. /shrug

No not potentially. They've been using them for a long time and will continue with the new regulations from 2026. There hasn't been a V12 since the mid90s, V10s have been gone for nearly 20 years, V8s for a decade.

No sign of them of them going fully electric - as stated Formula E is there for that and doing pretty well with support and manufacturer interest - but hybrid & sustainability is here to stay, in F1, endurance racing, road cars, etc.

As for super/hyper cars, the most entertaining and interesting for me is currently the McMurtry Speirling Pure - all electric and definitely not boring.
 
Lots of metathesiophobia masked by anger and a dislike to the LGBTQ+ community for some weird reasons (mostly insecure ones I assume).

As far as I can tell there is 1 of 8 people in that advert that I cannot tell their gender, however it doesn't matter. it has 0 impact on my life and 0 impact on my desire to buy a Jaguar or not. Personally I don't like the font as it reminds me of a new start up tech business but again it wouldn't stop me from buying a jaguar.

What it does do is open up a market to people who would of never thought of Jaguar as a car purchase, the stereotype of old white male buying jaguars is well imprinted in society so why would they need to represent that?

Anyway the marketing is a good move as it's got the "old" views talking about it and the "new" ways of thinking championing it(it was brought up in my companies town hall yesterday as a success btw)

Around 2001 or so a previous coworker bought a Jaguar during that time.
Not the sterrotypical customer, but rather one that usually would be associated with BMW or Mercedes (in German stereotypes).
A bit later he quit the job and started delivering pizza - with that car.

Iā€™m sure the video was put together with the best of intentions but it backfired horribly because it did not connect with the target audience. Simple. A lot of people did not understand why it was done.

Brands are also free to destroy themselves. And if your core demographic consists of ā€œconservativesā€, you donā€™t market your product to people who are not! Thatā€™s a terrible way to run a business!

The future could refer to 2040. They may not be using 1.6 litre V6s then. Or even in 2030. The word is rather general.

But if fossil fuels are going the way of the dinosaurs, as so many companies, governments etc in the Western world are pushing for, what's F1 going to run on? Geothermal? Hydrogen? Can't see F1 being the only form of motorsport which will continue using petrol.
On a side note, would be interesting to see how tanks, APCs, jeeps etc transition from fossil fuels to all electric. Not forgetting aeroplanes.

Again, the EV hypercars comment is more my personal view. If others like all electric cars, that's fine. I can only speak from my own viewpoint. When I play a racing game, I don't choose the Nevera, Evija, E-Mach Mustang etc because they don't provide any kind of excitement, adrenaline rush etc. They just go very fast without having those extras that make you smile.
Like many things in the world now.
