It's already in the game! :grumpy:

Not the longtail abomination car that was really made for GT racing silly.:ouch::grumpy: The McLaren F1 is not in the game.

Forza 3
97 McLaren F1 GT
97 McLaren F1 GTR

Wanted
McLaren F1
McLaren F1 LM

The F1 LM is where it's at. Forza is a game, so we don't care about sound proofing. It's a bit weird that Turn 10 decided to stick with the GT and not replace it with the LM instead. Now when you can remove the vinyls on all race cars, you can just take a race prepped GTR and make your own vinyls on that instead of a GT.

Maybe if we whine long enough, they'll take notice. But they don't seem to keen on putting in older cars. Shame really, since the game could use some more 80's and 90's icons.

... And that´s for sure!
I always missed some more older cars in any racing game, though GT1 & GT2 offered some great 90´s cars...
But i´d love to race these cars on screen i used to own a few years ago...:grumpy:

I don't see anything wrong with the McLaren F1 GT <_<
It was more aerodynamically efficient than the earlier F1 LM/GTR Short tails. Notice how most other race cars at the time were also "longtails" :P

And as far as the DLC car packs go, I agree that these are all cars that should have already been in the game. I am also disappointed at the lack of the Zonda F and Koenigsegg CCX.

Hopefully when they include the W427 the include a GT or F6 from FPV to even things up.

BTW - I don't care that it has a 7 litre engine, the W427 is so ugly.

I'm a big holden man but your right. Its also the same with the new gen HSV's. Trying to be a car they're not. That and the price tag for the W427 is a joke. If I had the amount of money to buy it, i'd buy the cheaper R35 GTR and have a car 10x better.

Where do you get your facts from?:odd: The R35 is more expensive by some $30-50k.
And oh, if you think the Commodore isn't a world class sedan, which is what it's doing, then you're sadly mistaken.

I'll just re-quote myself

Good, they don't deserve it.

Am I the only one who had noticed that they put a VW Bora with oversized wheels in place of the Audi RS6?:dopey:

No, you not, first, im thinking thats a joke, but it seems to be real (the DLC, not the pic)

Last I checked HSV W427 price was $155,000.

2009 GTR was 148800 - $152800 depending on options and upped to $155,000 after initial batch (including 2010 models)

Any word on when this hits Xbox Live?

I'm dying to take that 211 around some of the mountain courses.

The Boxster S is going to be quite the competitive little car as well.

;)

Um, does anyone else beside me think the GT500 was done poorly?

The front bumper looks like the paint is ready to chip off, and the "GT500" just looks....mreh. :yuck:

I'm referring to the 2010 model.

It's up now.

....and download complete.

Too bad my girlfriend is sick. I'll be taking care of her today, instead of trying out the new DLC.

Um, does anyone else beside me think the GT500 was done poorly?

Yes indeed. However, words cannot describe how little I am interested in any modern Mustang. Therefore, it's no skin off my back.

;)

Set this to download before I went to class today, so I might get the chance to play with it later.

It's a great pack, but a lot of it is underwhelming, the Zonda R and One-77 sound a bit restricted. The best sounding car (to me) is the R8 LMS.

Go figure.

Disappointed with the modeling on the Zonda R, Turn 10 didn't do the body colour correctly, they just painted it matt black/slate instead of bothering with the carbon fiber weaving. Their lack of attention to detail continues to both overwhelm and ruin what would be good cars.

Yet of course all this gets over on the official forums is 'So what? It looks good enough to me'

Yeah, the car model was underwhelming. It lacks the presence of a real Zonda R. Same with the R8 LMP. It just doesn't look right somehow. But in return, all the cars sound great and feel different from each other.

im surprised by the R8 LMS as its nothing more than a road R8 with with some track toy goods installed and different engine swaps and awd upgrade. i hoping itd be pure race car, but, on the plus side, if the r8 lms comes mr, can i convert my road R8's to mr?

i must admit though, with all the R cars being hard to drive on slower courses, an awd turbo diesel is very tempting. ive a r8 5.2 with the turbo diesel and the hire driver ran into the back of a f430 gt at the start of the R3 endurance race

[edit - no MR r8 conversions :( ]

Bah, I'd still take the W427, a GT-R will never be cooler than that weapon.:P:lol:

The R8 LMS is a very different car. It is a spec built GT3 race car. It is a pure built race car.

I bought the pack, wish I hadn't, partly because my wheel is broken and secondly because I didn't read that they took out the Commodore.

At least the Boxster should be good to drive with the wheel (when I get a replacement).
