You got some serious cleaning on that Mazda shot. I prefer the front view, looks great.

The Mercedes shot is sweet, love the tone and has a very artistic look to it. Nice lighting too.

Good to see you are still updating, keep it up. 👍

thanks guys. yeah i think i have a hard time keeping away from here. anyone ever wonder what GT5 will be like in terms of what's gonna require editting and what not ?
that thought scares me somehow.

On to the updates. this is my competition entry, it actually comprised of three versions, but i've only decided to post the colored and black and white version, if anyone wants the fullsize wallpaper, just let me know. photobucket wouldn't let me upload it in its original dimensions (which is pretty big, 1800 x 1600 ? somewhere around that region).
here they are... enjoy.

PS: cleaning the wheels up a bit was the most tedious thing i have ever tried. atleast from that angle.

Extreme clean, extreme perfection...WOW!! Extreme presentation Jg!! Quite cool alright:)

This update is looking extremely good, well done!!

much appreciated guys. spent lots of time with that photo. the textures were so bad, i actually didn't think it was gonna work out. i'm gonna release another photo from the same batch, with the same car of course, but not until next week or later. for now i still have this photo in the works, and it has been long overdue. i was actually gonna use this as my entry for the gt4 photomode comp week 76(?) but it just needs a lot of things so i can't finish it on time. i had time now, but i'm so so damn drunk that i can't even look at the screen. i just did the lower part of the bumper and i already started to feel nauseated. so for now here's a preview.

thanks for the feedback even though it was just a preview. i forgot how many hours or time it took to finish all this, but if i add it all up, it's probably just two days if you compress the total time. i just took it easy with this one, doing the clean up one corner/angle at a time, and i was trying to source out brushes, which i successfully found at Deviant Art, courtesy of miss m. you guys can find her website here with a whole bunch of brushes that you all can use, just make sure you guys credit her by linking back to her site which i have included in the preview pic. enjoy the update.

i almost forgot to credit the person or pinbot who took the original copy of the license plate. it's not mine :D:tup:

hey man, thanks for the link to the wallpaper, but I think this even more beautiful. Lots of time well spent my friend. it looks incredible.

Wow, very nice pic! 👍 One thing though: for me, the text on the preview is hard to read. This can be solved by putting a small (1 or 2px) Stroke on the letters in a light color, perhaps using the same gray that's on the border.

The reflections on that 22B are ridiculous, just plain re-F-ing-diculous. I like the added lighter color outline flowing along with the reflections, I'm going to have to give that a shot. And the car itself is suuper smoooth. I also like the super nova, I guess, on the front bumper and the mirror, very nice work.

Oh, and the green pads. Top notch stuff happening in here:tup:

It's amazingly clean and sharp! This is being interesting, the JUN R34 also showed a great technique and idea, so I look forward to see more updates right here, señor :D

thanks guys.

now this new update is just another experiment, just thought it would be a good idea to
use the brushes on the car itself, instead of doing the same old clean photos all the time,
if you all know what i mean. so here's what i'm gonna be doing. this preview is just a rough sketch so to speak, so be easy on the comments.

sorry about the double post, but i needed to bump up my page somehow to show the new update :D

i decided to just scrap the dirt version and save it for a rallye scene and use the old preview pic instead, and show some sort of a before and after presentation. so here it is, Enjoy and critiques are very welcome 👍

I'll be posting up the full version at my deviant art page if anyone wants the full (1600x1200) version.

Haha, nice work J. I really like the Before Track Day shot, the preview only links to that one. It has a slight drawn look too it, your cleaning has really come along way. The car looks great, so does the 22B, amazing job on that car. 👍

About the smashed up car, I think the headlights look good, but the rest looks a bit weird. It looks too painted on and 2D. Still I think you did a sweet job on the car. :)

Quite impressive Jg, I really like this update. The "before" shot is full of style, lovely license plate btw. Great cleaning work btw.
The "after" shot, in the 1st post...looks cool, love the damaged headlights!!!
U should have also changed the license plate on the after shot mate, if it is after...U know...same car, same plate...

Well done Jg, good to see U doing these experiments!!

hey man, very cool update. Experiments are hit and miss, but you definitely got it right. Great work, the damaged headlight and windshield are awesome. Keep the experiments coming!:)👍👍👍

thanks guys. but i didn't feel like doing the damaged effects anymore :D i obviously missed a few things here and there, but like i said, the ruined look was just a random 'scrap' if you would. thanks for the comments and viewing 👍

now on to my next update. this has to be my first angled wheel blur, i know the rear isn't blurred, but i was aiming for the side brake drift look with the rear wheels locked up.
i was gonna add smoke, but i can't get it right. anyways here it is.

Black and White

edit: i haven't had this hard of a time uploading pics here ever! i'm gonna lose it!!! :grumpy::grumpy: what the hell is goin' on ? !!
