I usually go in japanese lobbies and leave as soon as i get in because i go down the list to see tires and setting etc. And that's even if I make it in. Most times they kick US Flags.

Yes, there have also been times where I'm kicked because of being an AmericanI honestly don't blame them because there are those people out there that give them that impression obviously. I don't bother going into JP rooms simply because their drifting skill is no different if not worse than the people I drift with from
I think it's just a similar case to how it is in Aus/NZ rooms, they kick non Japanese people because non Japanese people can't speak the language. When a person from France joins an Australian lobby I always think "Why? Why wouldn't they just drift with other French people instead?". It may also be another similar case where foreigners are kicked because of lag issues

You just have to know the right rooms to join in. Not all Japanese rooms are great. Luckily I made a few Japanese friends back in the day. Definitely have to give a shout out to my man Cropuis. He always kills it when we drift. Another guy if you ever have a chance to drift with is longtallsan. Team PP and Team Dizzy rooms are pretty sick as well if you ever have luck seeing them up.

I have seen Cropuis and all I have to say is he is one of the best drivers in have ever seen in car control aspect. He was drifting with one of my friends while I was in spectate mode. Cropuis was in his red Skyline 370 GT. Even when others spun in front of him he was able to stop from door to door drifting to a complete stop and out of the way of traffic. He also was incredibly smooth. Good guy there

I've made a few Japanese friends over time. They are amazing... Its just the way they are raised due to the local culture. You find what you like and give it everything you have because you only have one chance and if you fail, then you're stuck doing what your father does for a living because you blew your only chance. And if you fail at that...
Here we are raised with opportunities though. If something doesn't work out there is always the next thing. That is far from the truth. I have learned and have taken some of the values of the Japanese lifestyle because of this. If you are going to do something, don't beat around the bush. Dive into it head first and don't waste anybody's time, most importantly, don't waste your own time because you can't blame anyone for that. Its just something that I've always seen from the younger people and even some older farts and it always bugs me. Until now I have been able to bite my tongue but most of the comments I see of Japanese people portrays them as godlike or robotic in their skills, basically saying that we are not capable of such things so we shouldn't try. If that is what you think, just quit, now.

We aren't gods of drift thats for sure but people still exaggerate. But as for Kaidoracers and Pink Twinz aren't they American? Kaido I know for sure its just a team of Americans using Japanese Accounts. Drifting is an art like some already said here. You have tonot only do it but feel it. Predict exactly how you want the car to slide. Not just sliding from a single ebrake corner but being able to keep using that one bit of drift to keep the rest of the track going without needing anymore. To be honest and I don't mean any disrespect when I say this but.. Some Americans and even Canadians are really aggressive when they drift. They don't really care if they hit anyone. I started drifting because I became bored waiting in my fathers house here in America after my sister and father both go to work. They are big Gran Turismo fans so After watching some of you out there drifting I decided to try also. So I really have to thanks the American drifters for even getting me into drifting. Nice driving out there guys keep at it! Sorry if I misspelled anything lol

yes they are american... I don't think any real japanese drifters find themselves on the western end besides a few American's living there like Slydways.

Um.. You guys have no idea that Japanese Europe etc CAN join America's side of GT5's servers right? Because Its how my brother does it. Its the same as joining a Euro or JP drift etc lobby. Also Even if an American Makes a JP PSN account they are on the JP server JP PSN Store etc. But you can still connect to any Regions servers. I'm not from America however I can still join JP lobbys. But I cannot access the JP PS Store fromm my NA (North American) PSN account being the only Downside of it. -_-'
