Hey! I need to qualify. I havent had internet in a week cuz of the storm but im glad i checked the forum when i did. Is anyone available in an hour to steward me?

I'll be on PSN until the end of qualifying. Just send me a message. Probably won't be on GT5 but I can get on real quick.

My room mate is usin the Ethernet. He said he let me plug it in my PS3 at the 445 mark.
Shud still b able to qualy right?

Ok guys since the Q session is over we need to know who is driving tonight that didn't qualify, so we can figure out if we are going to have only room 1 or open up 2 rooms plz?

The finalized "qualifying" grid. I've included the dividing line that separates the two rooms, in case we get more than 16 people.

But at the moment, we'll all be in one room.

These people listed all have priority over any extra people that show up as far as starting grid positions go. Doesn't matter if we have one room or two.

I'm undecided, I really want to, and need the ring experience, but then the times conflict with grand am, which I have been itching to race, I was hopeing to know this earlier Joe, so if it were to be 1 or 2 fullish rooms I would do this, but if it turns one full and 3 in the other I would just wait until next week,

Reminder of how the race will work, copied from OP. Please ask questions if there's something that you're not clear on.

Pre-Race Car Checks:
  • Before the race can begin, I must check that everyone's car is the right horsepower and weight.
  • Please do not access your garage or tune menu when your car passes.
  • Anyone accessing the garage or tune menu will be penalized at the race officials' discretion.

Rolling Starts:
  • After car checks, I will type out the grid order. Please remember the order you need to be in!
  • People that did not qualify will start in the back.
  • I will then hit "Start Race".
  • Once the race countdown timer reaches the end, everyone will slowly form up into the order that I typed out.
  • When everyone is in order, I will tell pole position to begin a pace not exceeding 60 mph / 95 kph.
  • Pole position will then break pace abruptly (floor it!) to signal the start of the race.
  • This is NOT a pace lap! Please start the race as soon as you can (after two or three corners).

I've opened up a room that will remain open until the official room is up.

Room number : 1472 6118 4130 9220 2730

Lots of people messed up their laps. I know I did. I was between 10-20 seconds slower than what I was used to doing.

Official Race Room

1472-4710-9866-6903-9301

If you can't get in because the room is full, please message me or Joe so we can split up into another room. Thanks!

Because of the delayed start i wouldnt be able to finish plus a few offs at the start didnt help

I guess this is'nt the kind of racing for me. I'll just stick to the 550pp road car racing on the nurb. Hope you all had a good race

We'll have to implement a "must start race" by whenever policy for the series. Thanks for the input.

I would like to thank everyone for joining and a special thanks to afelin for his hosting & organizing efforts, it ended up being a great turn out!
:gtpflag:

Thanks for setting this up guys, was a lot of fun. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the series due to scheduling issues.

Good racing.

Was learning the car as the race progressed. Was getting faster and did some times 6-7 seconds faster than my qualifying time in stint 2.
Unfortunately I crashed alot on lap 11 with a 7.08. Got really bored...

Still good learning the track and car, plus P4 is a nice bonus. Does anyone have the replay? How does my tire wear compare to the rest?
Definitely balance issues the harder I pushed the car. Felt strange to drive.

And the top 3 were a class act in terms of speed. Roscko, Ubagubaz and that other fellow in a Subie. Well deserved podium.

sorry I checked out early, I usually finish any race I start, but we just got going too late I had to leave on lap 10.

Nice race guys. Good job Roscko with the win and Ugabugaz with the podium.

Thank you all for coming out, had a great time!
