Well i keep seeing in different threads people saying they need to brake there car in before the race etc.

My question was about the difference it makes, if any and wondered if anyone new.

Well, a new car's power will drop throughout a race while a broken in car will stay more consistent

I just done my 4 lap quali and at the end my car was 416bhp, It's a strange one!

Had a quick test session to see if increasing front Camber would be helpful for my qualifier. With Camber set at 2.4/0.8 I set a new PR of 1:39.661 in the RX-7. Hoping I'll be able to repeat somewhere close to that when I qualify.

Edit: Had front Camber written as 2.5, It was 2.4. Fixed.

No I qualed in the lexus.

Just b spec bob your car in the 200mi mazda race in the endurance section. That's how most of us do it. Your b spec driver wil be done by the time you get home from work or wake up in the morning. I didn't have proper testing before this series started to find out the the Lexus was over powered by 10hp, but will sort out the differences by season 2. Right now the reg's are locked for the season. The 1st season is always an out right test session as you know from the STC Subaru's from Bankfin! All we can do is try to break the draft from these guys and try to loose them in the infield. Outside of the draft their 3 to 4 mph slower than the Mazda and only 2 mph faster than the Subaru's so it's the draft that's the killer!

Thanks Wardez for diversifying the field I guess another adjustment we can make is to limit the car choices next season.

I know what you mean, there are a ****-ton of Celis too. I might switch as well but i would only switch to either the garaiya or the MR-S, but the MR-S is a bit underpowered as of now. Maybe I'll run this race in the Garaiya and if we can get a bit more performance out of the MR-S to make it competitive, I'll run that, since I've got the garaiya down to a science. Feel free to join me in the MR-S if we get it souped up

I was going to try the Garaiya and MR-S myself, nice. I usually can't get everything I want out of MR's although I do love driving them, we'll see.

Either that or the Subie.

I would run the RX-7 and prefer it to all other choices, but its to lethargic, its around 2 seconds off for me,

I did try the RX-7 briefly, always liked it, and it was fine to me, only about a half a second down in the first sector but I made up for it in the other two.
