Here's your proof, like I said 2 wheels on track the whole time.
You guys decided?

Use his other lap time if it's clean, or tack on 3% penalty. That's what I usually do, but it's up to you Zach how you want to penalize it.

If that rumble strip would have been 1 foot longer I would of been clear.
2nd lap I went off track Afelin. Zack has to come up with penalty.

At-least I know how to upload photos now, Ha! 👍

his other lap time at the corner Joe thought I was onabout he was all 4 wheels off track. so it was dirty

Its real close, and no time was gained at that corner. He loses no significant time, and loses 4mph in the process.

I'm happy to say add 0.500 second to his 1.24.879 lap time, making it a 1.25.379 lap.

I feel any % addition to this error would blow it entirely out of proportion as to what it was.

Just an inch longer and you'd have been fine lmao. Tough, real real tough

OK, I'll record the 1:25.379.

Well he didn't gain from it, why the time add? Just curious.

Its still exceeding track limits. If we allow people who run wide and dont gain time to do so without penalizing everybody will be doing it. and he didnt lose a chunk of time either, that was a contributing factor

Not being funny but penalizing Joe for that is ridiculous. Especially after I complained 2 tracks ago and nothing at all was done about dirty after dirty laps in qualifying. The one thing I ask is for is consistency, but yet again we don't get it.

Penalty is down to stewards discretion, I can assure you on any track with anybody if a similar instance occurs ill penalize aswell.
We cant be consistent amongst us all stewards as theres what 6 of us? 6 people never hold the same opinion...

I've only penalized as its still a breach of the rules, and if a breach of rules wasnt penalized no doubt all of you would be doing it.

I am sure we will see a lot of people of track in this race. It`s going to be fun checking the replays. Good luck there. You`ll have countless complaints. :dunce:

I think we are doing alright for our first season, but we have to iron this out.

We have to categorise it imo, those that went off track boundaries and gained nothing will have an x amount of time added while those that made a gain will have added time depending on severity?

Or we could choose to not penalise those who made no gain.

Do note that I'm referring to qualifying, if you run wide during the race in tracks like GP/f where things are paved to save tires/pass we'll be on to you.

It should matter who the steward is and it also shouldn't matter how many stewards there are, the rules are the rules and should be followed regardless of who is doing the judging. I pointed one out in Fuji where the track boundaries where getting pushed to the limit and ever broke on one corner, nothing was done about it.

If the amount of stewards can't be controlled or they can't follow the same rules then they shouldn't be a steward or have so many of them.

Dude if you had that much of an issue upload photos or a replay. Sometimes stewards don't see it live in qualifying. Seth was in the room when I spotted Joe, he never saw it, and neither did joe!

I believe me penalising joe for being off by an inch shows we are doing something to make track boundaries more clarified after your last complaint. I can't qualify everyone, and I can't always spot small things like that. So variation happens between stewards, it's basic human nature, we aren't all robots

I kind of have. Alefin said he adds 3% to time, and I took that to mean for instances when time is gained. As joe gained no time, but lost little, I felt a small time penalty was more appropriate.

If you guys wish to follow this route that's fine with me, but it says "race officials discretion" so however sees it can do whatever they like.

Well to be honest, after my complaint last time about qualifying I won't be bothering with Liau anymore. Also if Tyler doesn't get a penalty for ramming me into the barrier then my faith in the stewards will have gone and I'll be racing very different on track.

I left it up to the steward's discretion because I figured you guys have good judgment and would decide what's most appropriate, but I guess this is causing a sticking point.

I can codify the penalties for qualifying if you want. I just figured that was overkill lol

The stewards are currently discussing this. If you upload a replay to YouTube or something, with your full car view, his full car view, and the gt5 special racey (tv coverage?) view, with the throttle and braking traces, and speed traces on. Then I'll have a look. As ATM I can't, USA replays can't be played on European disc, and I was in room B.

And if your threatening to drive dirty on track if nothing is done, then expect us to look carefully at your race...

Codifying isn't the way to go, as you can't really classify stuff like that and it should just be up to the steward who oversaw to come up with a penalty.

Like you say is overkill making it specific

Just to offer another angle on the dirty qualifying laps.
At PURE, if we have a small off without gaining time we add 0.5%.
If the cut is deliberate or gains time, we add 2%.

This way is black and white.

I sent the incident to Joe with 3 different link to youtube video's, ask him to forward it to you. I didn't say I will drive dirty, I will just drive the same as people do when there behind me.

This has been strange because the room A replay was screwed for most of us.
Normally Alefin and Joe download it right away but it didnt let us this time which was strange.
This whole fiasco should be solved soon.

As for qualifying we're also discussing it at the moment.
