I'm pulling out of GT5 racing. The physics irritate me. The cars aren't balanced. The bad habits of driving (braking late, braking hard, locking up the brakes, applying throttle too early) actually make you faster in GT5. I can't drive it any more. See you on iRacing, I suppose.

Dunno what you mean by this. Sometimes you brake late, other times you don't. I don't think consistently grilling your brakes makes you faster.

The throttle part and late braking (with abs) is true, you can abuse the car because the tire model is weird in GT5 but it's not something I do I think.
But have you driven without abs in GT5? I assure you locking up is not faster.

Thats why I flew into the gravel battling Cam, I pressed the pedal too hard and smoke signals flew from the front wheels. :(
Also I have no idea why I waited for Joe even though I didn't hit him. :P

All in all great battles, as usual Joe's Subaru was a gigantic pain in the arse to stay ahead of. Drive traction and draft are lethal.
Also good to see Tyler upping his game.

Thanks man 👍

I made it by joe b/c he got a lil sideways on lap 12 or so and I was in his mirror for quite a few laps. I can't remember the second pass in the second stint. Watching replay now.

When you and cam were battling right in the pit window i thought for sure i was going to catch you guys.

Compare GT5 to iRacing, though. The difference is huge. GT5 just lets everyone make mistakes. IRacing is just so much more rewarding; the guys who actually drive well (hitting apex lap after lap) are actually faster. The precision is more well rewarded.

Making mistakes though, equals slower lap times - I don't get your point here. Never played iRacing so I can't compare it but take a guy that nails the perfect line in GT5 lap after lap, and a guy that's lazily darting around the track, Who's going to be faster?

If you want to see just how brutal GT5 can be, Try the latest C7 'Vette seasonal. You have to be perfect in every corner more or less. You gotta keep in mind we're racing cars with tons of grip, so mistakes can easily be corrected.

Gt5 is the same. Irl racing slight mistakes are corrected easily. Major overshoots aren't. Hitting your lines in any racing game is ideal, don't see much difference in that aspect. Looking forward to next race though. Getting stronger with the garaiya.

After some post race loving... she fell asleep and I decided to get some early practice in at Suzuka as I've never raced there before. I'm sure it's slow..

During my second stint i ran 53.3xx to 53.5xx for about 14 laps some serious consistency .

Race pace was real good :)

Is there a consensus that 12 people raced on Motegi? I want to make sure I'm not missing someone lol

Verified uga's and Zach's results. Posted results (doesn't include penalties, if any). Also updated overall points and ballast. Ballast is accurate

Overall is still missing Madrid points. I need that replay Joe :P
