I do think it is sad, or pitiful, if someone goes on playing a substandard game long after better alternatives (or just better things to do) are available.
I mean, compared to judging other people's lives based on what they enjoy, it's not exactly the most pitiable activity.

Don't yuck someone else's yum. Unless they're a nonce.

I am more than happy to judge people who enjoy things like Love Island, Coronation Street, or Marvel movies.

Somebody might claim not to. But would they marry one?

I put GT7 as it stands just about ahead of these things. And I judge myself (very harshly) for continuing to hope it gets better.

Looking down your nose at other people enjoying stuff you don't like is also much more off-putting as a marriage prospect than enjoying stuff you don't like - as well as both being more sad and more pitiable.

You wouldn't marry someone because they like a movie or show you don't like???

Man I must admit I think you need to re-evaluate your priorities in life here, it's completely pointless getting held up by making judgements (or even caring about at all) regarding what other people like to do to pass their free time.

There’s nothing wrong with a bit of elitism in the right places. It’s what pushes things forward. The alternative is the idiocracy. Pity it if you like, but it doesn’t change reality.

You're such a ****ing pretentious hipster with nothing better to do than judge what others enjoy. sO qUiRkY not liking popular things.

Thinking people are sad for playing sub-par video games and watching crap TV shows = ‘awful person’

Okaaay...
They're only "sub-par" and "crap" in your opinion. That's fine, no-one's making you watch/play them and you're free not to based on your opinion of them.

However you're not doing that; you're using your opinion to judge yourself as superior to people who do watch/play them and enjoy them, only on that basis.

So yes, you're coming across as an awful person - and in two threads at once, remarkably.

Which I think is an ideal place to wrap it up and move back to "predictions" for next week's update.

Oh no. That’s a good thing. It actually SAVES a marriage when people show you who they are. It’s those little things(to some of us) that some of us see as red flags. Red flags are good. ;)

Hopefully this is the update that brings car selling as there are a few that I would like to get rid of + PD should get rid of the invitation feature, I haven't been able to get an Enzo or a second Carrera GT yet due to this feature.
Definitely agree with this, it's just a pointless mechanic and there's no way to get brand invitations other than by being lucky at roulette tickets (mostly in four-star roulette tickets).

If they were to implement the ability to sell cars, they'll still make it where you can only sell duplicates, as they will not let you get away with having only one example of a certain individual car.

They should also update certain features that will make the game less reliant on roulette tickets, such as making certain upgrades like the following:

  • Carbon Propellor Shaft
  • Bore-up S
  • Stroke-up S
  • High Lift Camshaft S
  • Titanium Connecting Rods & Pistons
  • Ultra-High RPM Turbocharger
  • Weight Reduction Stage 5
available in the Tuning Shop.

I bet we won't be able to sell gift cars, and as such the feature would be relatively pointless. I seem to be overloaded with A45s from the roulette, and I probbaly won't be able to sell them (as if I'd get much money for them).

The invitations are just annoying.... Selling cars would be awesome, I have a ton of cars I'll never use.

so it'll either have to drop a month in advance (this week)
Part of me thinks they'll unveil it before the event as a teaser to shake things up for the cup.

but the optimism in me says they'll drop it this update and then that TBA will be changed accordingly.

Looks like there is a new track shown in the gt 22 video. The outlines add up to a track (maybe new). Also wet deep foest raceway maybe.

I do think it is sad, or pitiful, if someone goes on playing a substandard game long after better alternatives (or just better things to do) are available. Of course, if it’s a good entertaining game, or if there’s some kind of emotional attachment, that isn’t the case. It doesn’t surprise me that some people still play GT4 now and again (though I would think it sad if it were still their main game) but I very much doubt anyone will be doing that with GTS or GT7 twenty years from now.
I play Gt3 and Gt4 because they are good games also wanted to play ps2 hence why I bought 2nd hand model.

Old games are enjoyable. I still enjoy playing nfs high stakes.

I'm more partial to Apricot Hill, since it was teased in promotional videos.

I'd welcome Grand Valley Speedway, though. Love that track. :sly:

Its interesting that both tracks have elements that are tied into Maggiore. The banked hairpin and its nearby corners are very similar to the configuration found in GVS. I hope it isn't our substitute

I busted out the ole PS3 last night and started a fresh playthrough of GT6. Damn good fun. Its just a shame my wheel doesn't work with it.
As a kid i regret getting rid of my old consoles everytime i bought the new gen ones.

Seriously times goes and you are like i need to play my old games again. Its that feeling.

I've been playing GT6 since it dropped in 2013(?).

Only reason I'll sell the PS3 once I get a PS5 & GT7 is that I plan to buy a DD Pro and don't want to futz about with compatibility devices.

Mine overheated and died 😞 but I have been enjoying Red Dead Redemption 1 on the new PS+ Streaming service. Can't wait for them to add all the PAL games... maybe Gran Turismo 5 and 6 could appear then!
