I hope you find these tunes useful and help get even more fun out of Gran Turismo 7. I can't guarantee my tunes are the fastest, or the best. But the setups should be stable enough to trust the car to hit the accelerator as early as possible. You'll find that I only tune cars without any HP upgrades nor weight reductions. Other performance parts such as Brake Balance Controller, Racing Brake Discs & Pads, Fully Customizable Transmission, Fully Adjustable LSD, Racing Flywheel, etc. will be installed. If you have a car and track combo in mind, drop a comment below!

Also, you can also make a copy of my GT Toolkit if you want a spreadsheet to help manage your GT7 trophies, cars and FFB settings.

Enjoy!

Audi Sport Quattro S1 Pikes Peak '87 - 720.25PP

Trial Mountain Circuit - 1:53.485

Performance Upgrades:
  • Fully Customizable Racing Transmission
  • Racing Hard Tires

Assist Settings:
  • Brake Balance - 0
  • Traction Control - 1
  • Countersteering Assist - Off
  • Active Stability Management - Off

Tuning Notes:
This was a requested tune for the car on pavement. Set the Transmission to 320 and then change just the 5th and 6th gearing to the numbers below. This car performs best if you don't trailbrake, or at least limit trailbraking through high speed turns. She is surprisingly stable into and through the apex, within reason of course.

Excellent tune buddy. As a boy in the 80s with a rally fanatic father I got to see these cars irl. Walter Rohrl was phenomenal in one. Remember Hanns Mikkola winning the RAC in the first version. Seen Michelle Mouton I believe it was at Bellahouston park in Glasgow in the RAC was specia. I may be wrong but I think it was her but certainly have seen her in Europe driving one.
As I said Rally fanatic father, he was Jimmy mccrae mechanic at one point. Colin’s Father. Had the pleasure of sitting in the co drivers seat with Jim McRae in an Opel Manta. One of my best memories of childhood. Was genuinely trembling when I got out the car and my father told me he wasn’t even trying. Was like a Sunday drive to him. At the time my father had a mark 1 escort with a Rover V8 in it. Crazy car.

Thanks for sharing your sheet, this will come in Rey handy for keeping a track of what I have and haven’t got/done!

It's not totally finished yet with the car pics and specs, but should be good for that for now.

I'll admit, I'm not sure which cars to tune, so for now I'll take some requests. Just keep in mind, I'll only tune the car at it's default PP and be sure to include which track and tires you prefer. I won't tune a race car on SS tires, that never ends well

Jerome

Would love a tune for the corvette C7 at trial mountain, probably on SS tyres I guess. Want something fun to grind the trial mountain cup and it's one of my favourite cars!

I'll try and get to this today buddy. My time got stopped short with the update last night.

Nice spreadsheets !!
Appreciated 👀

Chevrolet Corvette C7 '14 - 613.37PP

Trial Mountain Circuit - 2:03.341

Performance Upgrades:
  • Fully Customizable Racing Transmission
  • Fully Customized Suspension
  • Racing Brake Discs & Pads
  • Fully Customizable LSD
  • Racing Clutch & Flywheel
  • Brake Balance Controller
  • Sport Soft Tires

Assist Settings:
  • Brake Balance - 0
  • Traction Control - 1
  • Countersteering Assist - Off
  • Active Stability Management - Off

Tuning Notes:
This is a really fun combo, a tricky one to tune as FR cars tend to spin on exit, especially when elevation changes are involved. Be sure to brake early for the big sweeping left when trailbraking. You'll feel the car lose grip there if you come into the apex too hot. No wing was installed for the tune, but one could be added for additional downforce to assist with the undulations and sharp corners.

Awesome, thank you!!! Can’t wait to take her out for a spin!

Well, car drives great, that handful of oversteer has pretty much gone and it feels much more planted. I brought another of them in the end and fitted a wing on on it to see whether it made a difference. It does add more stability through the corners but isn't necessary. It does bring it up close to 650pp though so could be useful in future events.

I find that trial mountain championship bags of fun, I like the track and its a nice combo as you say. Not the best money spinner by any stretch but a great way to earn 100,000 if you have a spare 10 minutes!

Tuning Notes:
You can either try this tune, or put a big (ugly) wing on her. Give yourself a few laps to get settled into the combo, lifting up fast as you finish trailbraking helps apex turn in. Also try TCS for more confidence on this tight track. You can probably get away with some performance upgrades to get it closer to the 600PP limit.

1 Hour Mission Race Tips: It rained on laps 23 (light, put on IMs, then it dried) and 35 (heavy, I recommend W tires here) for my race. I started the race on RH's and I was also on fuel map 6 the whole race except the last 3-4 laps or so where I changed it to fuel map 1 as I had a little bit of fuel left. The AI is fast, but they pit a lot, so limit your pitstops and you'll be fine.

You got it buddy, I'm feeling under the weather atm, but I'll give that a go next. What track are you thinking for that Gr.3 Mustang?

I'll also be tuning each car for those new 1 hour mission enduros (eventually) :)

No rush buddy as an when your feeling better and thank you lots . it's currently trying to kill me..........often lol .

All rounder would be nice , but it's really for that narrow track in Aus with them unforgiving walls and lots of dips , blind bends you know Bathurst lol .

Thanks for this. I will be trying for the endurance race.

Also the Corvette GR.3 Road Car has the potential to be a beast at 700PP. Great top speed but the turn in anything above 80-90km/h is bad... Any suggestions would help!

Thanks

Running with TCS 1 means you don't need ASM and CSA. You can enable them both if you want to for added confidence. Remember, you can overdrive a car, and she'll punish you if you do  Be sure to set the transmission to 300 and then set the gears to what is pictured below.

Hello Jerome, I can't find a Tune for Hyandi Genesis GR3 730pp. The Track being the Spa- for the series GR3 race. If you could make a tune with good grip, It would be much appreciated--

Tuning Notes:
You can easily de-tune this car down to 450pp for the Mission Pre-1979 1 Hour Enduro, or put on Comfort Hard Tires and some engine upgrades. Don't overload the tires on this hilly track. This car drives almost as smooth as she looks, almost.

1 Hour Mission Race Tips: The CM tires will last the whole hour, just put your fuel map around 4/5 for the first stint. Stop just for fuel and keep it on fuel map 4 again. The last 3-4 laps or so can be done on fuel map 1 or 2.

Hey, I got a tuning question for you, since I noticed you said you tune without HP upgrades. I've had a couple cars recently where I was working on the LSD and still getting loose and such. I then added a turbo and lowered the ECU to get the same 700pp but a little more torque and HP than before. Instead of the more power causing problems, the car actually got more stable and slip was under control. This is 2 cars now. I'm guessing PD bug, but I was wondering if you came across something like this.

Hey neighbor! The first thing that comes to mind is the power and torque distribution. With the 'regular' engine specs and normal PP stats, I'd suspect you'd have more power and quicker delivery to the drivetrain resulting in the rear getting loose. So when you drop the PP, the torque and HP also drops and then you add the Turbo on top which gradually increases output and it'll feel more stable through the apex.

Thanks, I think you are spot on. For some reason I didn't think about the turbo coming on more slowly. I will also check a couple NA cars for comparison.

I've been wrestling with my own tunes lately, but I'm looking forward to trying some of yours out. I like that you have a different approach to it.

  • Racing Hard Tires

Assist Settings:
  • Brake Balance - 0

  • Active Stability Management - Off

Tuning Notes:
The main culprit for this car is the Acceleration Sensitivity in the LSD. If you move it up even 5 ticks, good luck exiting a turn. As you reach the crest of the mountain and start to descend with those double lefts, tap the brakes or lift enough to avoid missing the apexes. Further down the descent as you pass the overhang banner brake early to ensure you are straight for the tight right hander. Then hit the brakes just before you turn in for that sharp, steep left. Trust the car here to rebound and straighten you out and gain confidence for that easy right hander just afterward.

Tuning Notes:
Following up with the Mustang tune above, I used that as a starting point as both cars had similar issues exiting apexes. If you experience spin outs, try lowering the Natural Frequency down 10 ticks or so, but you may find it understeer too much, YMMV. Stay off the green strips outside of the rumble strips, especially if the wheel isn't straight and/or you are at a high RPM in a low gear.
