Thanks man! Sure I can put together a tune for that car for you. Do you have a track in mind? With any luck I should be able to get to it sometime this week.

Jerome

Oh, man. Thanks! I don't know of a specific track. I've driven it on a couple of courses. How about Suzuka (long)? I don't think it would require much of a tune. I tried messing with it recently and bumped the engine power to 101%, which gives it the advertised 276 HP (I know you don't usually mess with mileage upgrades). Also dropped the weight down to 97% and lowered the front/rear ride heights to the minimum while switching to SS tires.

Does dropping the weight to 97% put it at manufactuers weight off the showroom floor? I wouldn't mind adding 1%HD to make it the advertised 276HP, same with weight.

I don't recall the weight, but I think matching it to the manufacturer's weight is a good idea if we're keeping it consistent with the 276 HP.

I'll do some googling (or try to remember to) before I tune her up :)

I just saw this car has the AYC on it.

And it's stock 2,976 lbs is what I'll use (according to this site: https://www.autoevolution.com/cars/...subishi-lancer-evolution-iv-1996-20-16v-turbo)

This car is a rally car through and through, so putting her on pavement is a challenge. She's all throttle control and a little goes a long ways. She gets upset if you don't brake early to get her settled and down to speed before entering a corner. And be sure to not quickly give her no gas, that also upsets her. She loves it when you ride the limit with the accelerator. Taking 130R and smashing the gas early is super rewarding. You can brake late with her if you keep her straight under braking load. This Mitsu is one that will need to grow on you, give yourself a few laps to feel her out. 1% Power Level was added to the car to get 276HP as advertised.

A modern classic that needs no introduction. What a fun car to drive and that sound, yessss please! The brakes are a little weak, so you'll need to stay diligent on your braking points and ease into the throttle, then once you are done with turn in, smash it. I also drove her at Tokyo Outer Loop and she fared well there too. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

I can’t seem to match the transmission values to your Ferrari F40 specs. I did a transmission reset and the values listed here aren’t even in the available range. Am I not following something?

Oh man, I'm not sure what I was copying info from but it's not right. Sorry about that! I'll go fix it, thank you for the heads up!

Haha, I figured it was a tune from another vehicle. Do the rest of the specs like rose height, etc. seem okay or are those also different?

Yep the rest is correct 👍

Alright mate do you have a set up for the nordschleife cheers

This is a fine tune. I did try it on Big Willow. It’s a little slippery at times, but that’s the nature of the car. Just need to break early and frequently and taken caution around those turns.

Any thoughts on a Toyota MR-2 tune?

Sure, I can put one together for ya. Hopefully this weekend? It kinda depends on the kids

Take your time, man. I haven’t even implemented most of your tunes yet. So I’ll be pretty busy taking all of these cars for test spins. Makes me wish there was a practice mode.

Toyota MR2 GT-S - N200

This car has so much potential for racing real life; its small, powerful and an MR, not to mention the price tag. In GTS I think she's probably OP, but I know she's temperamental when you apply the gas too aggressively before she's settled into the apex. Keep that in mind on tight turns and you'll be fine. She's a blast to drive, I took the tune to Tsukuba and she drove well there too, it should be a universal tune. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) - N300
Fp94PD.jpg

If there ever is a car that deserves to have the name Spirit in its name, it's this RX-7. Every time I drive this car I think back to my childhood days of getting soft-serve ice cream in the heat of the summer. This car is just so smooth and silky I always leave wanting more. Top 5 car in GT history for me. This tune was all about taming her without losing what the car is about; a soft, responsive ride. The big takeaways from the tune are the rear camber, lsd and roll bars. I also tweaked the downforce and ride height just enough so this tune should work anywhere. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

This tune is delightful. Tried it on Alsace and it was a lot of fun. The 5th gear tweak comes out to 840/157, though. Is that what you meant?

If you haven’t noticed, I have a soft spot for those 90s Japanese cars since they were the ones I drove in the original GT. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for some ‘94 and ‘97 Skyline tunes.

She has a lot of bite in lower RPM ranges in the lower gears.

Ironically, I was going to try and tune the R32 Skyline next. That is the last one on my list, so, I'll have to think about what to try to tune after that.

I have an appreciation for the N class road cars. Most of the tunes I’ve gone through from your shared list have been from that category. You could probably pick something out of a hat that you haven’t already done and I think I’d enjoy it.

By the way, I hope you don’t think I was being demanding with those tune requests. Part of me feels like I hijacked this thread for my own interests. Not my intention at all.

Not at all buddy. I enjoy trying to help people. Who doesn't love 90's Japanese sports cars? Crazy people thats who :P I know my tunes may not be the fastest out there. I really want to make a tune where the cars are fun and easy(er) to drive. That being said, my tunes are always about enabling the driver to smash the gas as fast as humanly possible w/o having to correct the car a lot, so hopefully they aren't the worst tunes on the web. 👍

Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec II (R32) - N300
zLOmyY.jpg

I applied a couple tweaks to the car to help it turn under acceleration load and she started to understeer, so I made the changes below to the LSD and she glides through the double lefts at the end of Gardens like butter. Be sure to let her swing wide out to the white line, then lift, point and smash her for fun all afternoon long. The ride height is about as low as I can go before she really gets upset with the curb bumpers. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec (R33) - N300

This car was different from her older sister. There's a spoiler on her, and for good reason (hint: more torque). This tune took me a couple retries to really rub out the oversteer tendency when applying the gas before she's totally settled. I started the tune at Gardens II and thought it was as good as I could get it, but unhappy with it. I then took her to Suzuka, Tsukuba, Seaside and Willow. Then I realized she's great as is. No mileage upgrades were done to the car.

I don't mind implementing MP upgrades as some cars could use a boost to make them competitive against some of the GT League AI, but I like your tunes because they make the cars drivable while keeping them honest. These are the kinds of tunes I wish they'd allow in Sport Mode.
