June "Car of the Month" - The Forgotten V6s!!

Vectra has a surprisingly nice grip and performance at full weight reduction and no ballast. Even with all that nose weight, it's not too bad at cornering if you get the rear to help. The Alfa, ugly as it is, not bad either. The Xantia however, may be the toughest of the group.

Purely my opinion of course. I do have some done, just have not had time to get posted yet. Will get the reviews submitted linked up soon as well.
All the cars can be good. The Alfa worked well for me in the Rome seasonal. Very easy win and handled pretty good. It had elements of understeer if you overcooked a corner but otherwise, solid car.

The Xantia has been growing on me :boggled: It's not bad in the undemanding seasonal at Rome! Might even post my tune.

Hopefully will be able to post up some stuff at the weekend!
The Xantia looked good once I gave it the Chrome paint. It is like a BMW Chrome Line now, except it is slower, uglier, it doesn't have a 'line' going down it and it has much more understeer than a BMW will ever experience.. As long as it is a Chrome Version though, it will be cool! :)

Think I'm gonna go with French cars  I set both Xantia 3.0i V6 Exclusive '00 and 406 Coupé 3.0 V6 '98 at 300hp 1300 kg to get a good comparison.

Such a crazy week, Thursday I was on and ran 1 lap in GTA. Tues and Weds I only got to log in if that. Monday was 2 laps to earn the Pug Vision GT. That's all I've had time for until last night. Managed enough time to take a trip to Rome Seasonal and of course to try my tunes just before posting. 406 Was not too bad, slow to rotate in some corners but ran a 1.23 flat. The 166 however, was surprisingly better at 1.22.5's. I want to try my Vectra next, yup, ran out of time last night. Only got 3 runs in. Hoping to have them posted and linked later today or tomorrow :nervous:
Gonna be working late today though :ouch:, so we shall see.:irked:

It's really nice to see you joining us and we are glad to have you on board.

And by the way, it does not have to be 450pp, you tune as you wish, no rules. 👍

I'm going to give all the cars I test a few laps around Cape Ring South, as this was where I ran the original trials. I will edit this post with all the results.

I ran a 400pp/CS version of this in the June 450pp seasonal at Rome:

Same as the 450pp tune with the following changes:

Engine Tune: standard

Front Spring Rate: 6.15

Not entirely sure why I went so much lower on the S/R - maybe it gave me much better grip with the CS tyres at Rome.

EDIT: Corrected Pic :dopey: and added 400pp setting

Nice, but either you listed it wrong, or posted the wrong photo. I Believe that's a 406 coupe.:dopey:

Thats the best looking Xantia I've ever seen. :)

Not sure if anyone here will be interested, but I'm planning on livestreaming my tuning of the Peugeot. I'll be starting around 2pm PDT at twitch.tv/assassinof1337

Edit: Change of plans: 2pm Tomorrow(Saturday). Having some issues with my network, it shouldn't be a problem tomorrow.
