Not sure I quite like how the plot describes the raptors & the T-Rex as being used to fight the new dino.

Oh my god are they seriously going to call it the same thing as the first movie.

Worked for the Fast & Furious series, sort of (just deleted "the" from the title).
Seems to be the recent trend with movies AND games lately. Most Wanted, Hot Pursuit, and Halo are the most recent games I can think of. Don't forget Xbox One. Riddick is the most recent movie I can think of. There are a lot more from the last couple years. So I wouldn't surprise me to see this called Jurassic Park.

Pitch trailer, which will not be part of the movie.

I really hope they don't use CG for all of the dinosaurs.

And instead of deleting "the" from the title, add "the" to the title.

So it's should really be called, "Teh Jurassic Park" for pulling this sort of original rename thing.

Honestly, I can't wait. Jurassic Park was one of my favorite movies as a kid an I used to absolutely love dinosaurs. :D

Thank god. That looked like a B Movie they show on Sci Fi where the general public is just a buffet for whatever creature is starring.

The movie better not have similar ideas behind it.

First pics from the set.

I recommend to everyone:

Read The Lost World.

Read every book by Micheal Crichton.

The third picture..... It is the place where they filmed Lost! Hahaha gues the giant bird from season one was a dinosaur after all!!!! Whahahahaah
A lot of filming for these movies, including the original, was on location in Hawaii. Looks like that is the case here too.

Hello Chris "Booker" Dewitt :P , like what I'm seeing so far, hasn't strayed far from the Jurassic park formula, needs more goldblum.

As a MASSIVE Jurassic Park fan (all time favorite movie, and 1st movie I remember seeing), the new trailer does not have me excited... A hybrid? Why? What for? Dinosaurs are perfectly awesome on their own without Hollywood making up new ones... And why are the Raptors just running alongside him when on the bike? Why?!?!

Of course I'm still going to see this one in the theater, but for the time being, I'm rather skeptic about it.

Me too.

I loved the original movie. The second and third, well, not so much. I've started the audio book recently and I've got to say, a more faithful recreation of the book would've been the kind of reboot I would've liked. Then again, I suppose you could say that some sort of hybrid dinosaur doesn't stray too far from Chrichton's idea about messing up big time by abusing science and nature.

Tamed Velociratpors, though? That's just stupid. Downright, utterly stupid.

Yeah, the idea that raptors have been tamed in a decade is a little silly, even within the imaginary universe that has ancient dino blood being extracted from fossilized mosquitos.

But @Luminis is on to something; this hybrid is the exact sort of cautionary message the first movie (and Chrichton's book) had. Taking the entire known plot into consideration, it's almost too realistic: the idea that the park wouldn't be new and exciting forever, and would need to start making up dinosaurs to bring in the bucks, seems plausible.

While nothing will ever top the first film, I'm remaining cautiously optimistic about this. I think it has the ability to stand above the other two, and I'll definitely be seeing it opening night.

I dunno. With the, like, 4 or 5 layers of subtext that the first book had regarding that exact bit (The handlers in the park are incapable of controlling the dinosaurs but they should because Wu "knows" they can modify the dinosaurs to be less dangerous but they didn't because Hammond refused because they wouldn't be authentic but weren't anyway because They were mutated constructs in an unnatural environment to begin with so were never authentic but it was a moot point because No one in the labs actually knew in advance what their gene splicing crap would do so they couldn't have forced them to be tame when they couldn't even keep them from breeding), it seems even more obvious than it would ordinarily be that that's essentially going to be the big reveal of what's went wrong about the whole thing this time.

Well, if the script is remotely clever.

I'm interested in seeing how they got this thing up and running (Listen guys I know our previous attempts have ended in lots and lots of death but I have a feeling we nailed this time)

Besides that I found the trailer a bit of a let down I find the special effects not that well done. Maybe it's my screen or my eyes but it does look like the computer effects are not seamlesly generated within the environments. The Dyno's also have a very plastic and non realistic look.

I wonder if they'll use any animatronics for the movie? The first 3 movies did so to wonderful effect.

I remember reading they would for parts of the film, though obviously without Winston's involvement again.

I also thought the special effects looked a bit 'off' but since the movie doesn't come out for another 7 months, they have time to make tweaks. Hopefully.

:0 I like how we get to see the park actually working and stuff. Deffinitely gonna go see it for that alone. The hibridsaur sounds a bit egh, but we'll have to see.

I have to say from the trailer, I love the look of the park itself. It definitely looks like the sort of place I would love to visit if it was real. Echoing some other comments of why are the raptors running alongside 'dinner' and talk of a hybrid it does kind of worry me about how far-fetched this film may be. The beauty about Jurassic Park and The Lost World was that they didn't make it feel unrealistic/too much (JP3 was just horrible. Sorry, that kid would have died in no time! How's that for unrealistic.). You believed the science could work and they didn't try to create a load of hybrids.

We'll see, I don't really do cinemas anymore, but I am very desperate to see a new Jurassic Park/World film so this may see me part with the cash to see it on the big screen. As of now, I'm hopeful it turns out well.

I hope they dedicate this film to Richard Attenborough in the credits. He probably would have been in this if he hadn't sadly passed away only months ago.

The trailer had a nice 'back to original film' feel to it.

After the dismal 2nd film and somewhat better (but still not great) 3rd, I wasn't really paying Jurassic World any attention, but this trailer has me very interested, especially after seeing my boy from Parks and Recreation as a main character along with Vincent D'Onofrio & B.D. Wong in the credits. Now I can't wait.
