Would personally rather have the grand total of zero fantasy tracks, it's claimed to be the real driving simulator after all so we should be driving on real circuits. Old tracks like Trial Mountain, Deep Forest, Midfield etc were utter hoccum and felt ridiculous and I could never figure out the almost trance like fascination with them within the GT community. Good riddance I say! At least Lago Magiore mostly feels like it could be a real circuit (ditch the banked hairpin and it would be very real) but I would swap it and all the others for real circuits in a heartbeat. The biggest exclusions to me are Austria A1 Redbull Ring and Silverstone. They went to the trouble of making them for GT6 yet didn't add them to the highly anticipated first title on PS4. Fingers crossed sense prevails and when they do add new circuits it's only of the real world variety.

Culling the upgrades is a big positive for GTS. Upgrading cars on other GT games sucked up so much time. GT4 in particular was the real menu simulator.
It only sucks up time if you use it, just like every other feature. There's no reason Sport Mode can't be limited to what it currently does while leaving the other racing modes the option to upgrade. Every part of every game sucks up time when you use it.

GT fictional tracks are amazing. I would take that over boring tracks like Silverstone for sure

Indeed its doesn't.

However it doesn't then provide a mandate for some members to ignore the AUP and resort to passive aggressive digs and insults.

It was more for the sarcasm but fair enough. I agree with what everyone else has said though. It’s 3 months post release. If you just buy the game now not doing any semblance of research for what it is, it’s hard to feel bad for you.

I just purchased my copy of GT Sport, I'm not sure if I am the first
to say this but wow, what a disappointment, I searched for twenty
minutes in the game to find where I can upgrade my car, only to find
out it was not included. I would have thought after five years in the
making they would have included something that has been in the game
since I started playing years ago but that is not the case. It's a shame
because the rest of the game is great, the graphics on my 4k HDR tv
are breathtaking, I will be selling my copy on eBay.
You made the mistake by not researching the game prior to purchasing it. For a game like GTS, it really is necessary.

you came here just to say that? Ok.Actually I'm a bit surprised the interface is all of 20 minutes long.

Seems like a drive by trolling to me. He came to post one thread and never came back. Tuning is absolutely the same just streamlined in power/weight. You can still fully customize the suspension and gearbox, etc. So he either didn’t look hard or is trolling by saying you can’t tune.

Which I guess is fair, but this isn't launch week, before anyone's had a hands on... this is some three months after launch. After every review has come out and this message board is full of people in a similar position.

I don't know how you could come across Kaz's comments and then miss every review or hands on/preview of the game... I follow this site and GT news and have done for a while and him saying that about GT:Sport was something I missed

Also the OP has 556 postings on here so has been around GT Planet for a while. I find it very hard to believe that he didn’t know what GT Sport was about before purchasing it.

Yeah you’re the first to say any of this. You should really ask the mods to sticky this post. Hell they should even post it on the News Feed! I’d suggest getting ahold of one them so they can get everything you’ve written about out to the masses! People deserve to know these things before buying the game, else they be as disappointed as you were. If only there were reviews, posts, forum threads detailing what this game is. I mean, after 3 months since the release you would think more than just you would have said something by now. I mean we must live in the dark ages!
I'm glad I could bring the subject to light.

Selling the game because not being able to put a bodykit or wing on your car is a quite dumb descision :boggled:

But yeah, better go play forza or nfs then.
That's the thing about this series though, the upgrades were for the most part real things you could do to your car, you
could put a sport exhaust on and hear the rumble or stick a high flow air filter in and feel a difference.

I mean, maybe I'm not reading it how the OP intended, but it seems like the 'rest of the game' and graphics are two separately good things?
The graphics are unbelievable and the game is good, it's just missing a key component to which i enjoyed.
It feels like a giant hole in the game.

You made the mistake by not researching the game prior to purchasing it. For a game like GTS, it really is necessary.
You're right, I didn't research it, I figured it said Gran Truism so it would be the same
great game I have enjoyed for almost twenty years.

I'm not trolling, I was active here about ten years ago when I was playing Gran Truism 5.

Posted one thread and never came back? He made the thread less 24 hours ago. As far as tuning goes, I think it's you that's trolling. The OP doesn't say anything about tuning. If you're going to be critical you might want to at least read the OP for starters.

I don't understand your thought process and reasoning. You like everything about the game except one feature. , yet you act as if it was the other way around; as if only one feature was great and the rest of it was bad.

If you like the graphics, music, racing, game modes etc. then why the hell would one small feature stand in your way of that big enjoyment? Does it really have such a massive impact on your way of valuing your experience? Or are you just sour because you went in with false expectations?

Besides the realistic driving, one of the best features to me has been the freedom to
do what I want with a vehicle, so yes it is that big of a deal to me.

Right, I used the incorrect word. He said upgrading wasn’t included which is very incorrect.

I'm glad I don't have to go through all those slow menus anymore to be able to use a car in a lobby. Thinking back on all those race starts I missed due to "car doesn't meet requirements" and furiously trying to swap out components to get the hp and weight in range. Good riddance.

In Sport races I don't even have to worry about tuning, level playing field, very nice. All the more time to concentrate on racing instead of car mechanic simulator.

Can you show me the menus where you add aftermarket exhausts, ECU, high performance air filters etc? Because that is what the OP is talking about. If it's "very" incorrect there must be lots of stuff to bolt on your car.

Well I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you might change your mindset in the future so that you are able to enjoy more games.

I love GT Sport, and I'm not going to sell the game on ebay for not having car upgrades.

For me: racing > upgrading a car.

He just said upgrading wasn’t included in the game. He never specified any other parameters.

Welcome to the GTS.

Ive just bought this also. Is there anyway to turn OFF what you see on the HUD while driving in game? Or maybe select what you want shown?
