Newer doesn’t always equal better either. I’ll take boring old Trial Mountain over asinine circuits like Tokyo Expressway any day of the week. At least the former is well-designed.

Tokyo Expressway? Are you talking about the Wallrider East/Central Inner and Outer Loops?

I think PD had left this out to keep the characteristics of each car.

For example in previous GT games you could change weight distribution to get perfect handling. I knew a player who would use 43/57 weight distribution on the Mazda RX7 Spirit, making it handle more like the RUF Yellow Bird or something.

Whereas now in GTS your car will maintain some of its original characteristics, sounds and looks.

CUpgrading cars on other GT games sucked up so much time. GT4 in particular was the real menu simulator.

I just purchased my copy of GT Sport, I'm not sure if I am the first
to say this but wow, what a disappointment, I searched for twenty
minutes in the game to find where I can upgrade my car, only to find
out it was not included. I would have thought after five years in the
making they would have included something that has been in the game
since I started playing years ago but that is not the case. It's a shame
because the rest of the game is great, the graphics on my 4k HDR tv
are breathtaking, I will be selling my copy on eBay.

Surely you did not buy the game just for that. In that case I recommend GTA V. You can not upgrade your car in PCars either. In Sport you can customize your cars using the livery editor, and upgrade your engine power and lighten the car. GT5 and GT6 did the exact same thing but called it a turbo, or removing glass. But it was still increasing power and lightening the car. It's just called someting else on Sport. Not sure why your disappointed.

Can you show me the menus where you add aftermarket exhausts, ECU, high performance air filters etc? Because that is what the OP is talking about. If it's "very" incorrect there must be lots of stuff to bolt on your car.

You did not really think that all upgrades were equal in terms of hp and torque did you? Obviously you're not very familiar with parts upgrading and how it affected car performance for a given HP, PP or spending level. With PD's new sound processing system there was also great potential to alter the sound of a car, above and beyond the sound changes that came with the various upgrades in previous games. So no, not the same thing.

Ive just bought this also. Is there anyway to turn OFF what you see on the HUD while driving in game? Or maybe select what you want shown?

As far as I know, there isn't any way to customise the HUD, other than cycling though the display for TC settings etc

OP has been a member here since May 2011, so we should applaud his ability to plan ahead for GTS

Here is an update: I decided to keep the game, the realistic driving and graphics
made it too hard to sell it. I won't be playing this very much, but I will be playing
every now and then (If the server isn't down...) to get my daily miles car. Even with
the missing features there is still no game that in my opinion compares to this. And
have I mentioned how blown away I am by the graphics? Maybe when GT7 releases
in five years it will pick up the slack.

Before a race or during a race, in the Options menu at the bottom you will see "Detailed Options". Click on that and at the top is an option for "Show Race Info" which allows you to reduce what is on screen. You can't customise it, but I use the Race Info Only setting to reduce the HUD.

There is also an option for Off which removes the entire HUD from screen.

It seems a few need a reminder of the AUP

That includes passive aggressive digs!

Some seem to be forgetting that Kaz himself said that GTS could be considered to be GT7 and that not only would it not be missing any features from past GT titles, but would actually have more!

As for mocking people for wanting upgrades? Take a look in the mirror, given that every past GT title has featured them!

You are of course right however I'm sure more than a few people find it irritating when people come on to a forum for a specific game and say how crap they think it is. It's even wrote when someone joins the forum just to do that!!! Do these people think people are going to susi with them?

I agree. Here's a hypothetical situation, someone signs up just to say how bad the have is, that's against the rules and regarded as flaming isn't it?

No.

The AUP doesn't require a love of GT to join or take part, nor does it require only positive comments on GT to be posted.
