Legends DLC - money well spent!

Didn't expect an Alfa Giulia Sprint with a PI of 185 could be so fun and Rouen Short (1952) may be my new favorite track! Sliding this wipper snapper around, hitting an occasional hay bail, and ambient sights and sounds transports ya back in time.

Anyone else notice the grandstand, fans and all, hovering "over" the Silverstone GP (1972) track - right before the start/finish? What a hoot - I would pay top dollar for those seats!
Take a look at the end of your first lap - don't recall the event...

I'm very happy I bought both, the speed hunters event is ok (still worth it). The LEGENDs pack is deff worth the money, I was using a nissan 2000gtr with 800PP and I couldn't even get close to first. I then tried the cobra and I couldn't get that thing tuned right for the life of me. So I'm just going to use the stock Alfa and try to beat my buddies time.

Also make sure you veer right past the hay bales blocking the high banking on the old Monza track for a real treat!

Supra that spins the wheels at 260MPH. That's why.

Yep the legends one is the way to go.
If only buying one pack the legends will give you more value and replayability.

Still tempted to get the Speedhunters pack too. I'll play the Legends pack some more this weekend, it will probably keep me entertained for quite a while. Will decide on Speedhunters pack later on. Thanks for the suggestions. 👍

OMG that Legends pack is theeee best thing in the history of ever!!! :dopey:

That Alfa, the Fords, the 911 RSR... and my new favorite car: The 914/6! What a car, this! (Imagine screaming Clarkson voice) And those tracks, hell yeah! Silverstone is a bit boring but Monza is so beautiful, Hockenheim too and Rouen is my new favorite track ever! So beautiful, so magnificent to drive!

I did all the events except the championships already and this is the thing to do for today... my try at winning the GT3 chmapionship got kinda delayed! :D

The only slight issue I have with the Legends pack is that the balance seems kinda off - I got overtaken by an Escort at Hockenheim with over 250 kmh at least. Its like the opponents had a trunk full of Nitro or something... WTF?!? Anybody else experiencing this?

noooooooooo... i fractured a foot finger.. can't play the game for a while.. nooooooooooooooooo. Not now with the dlc!

Bought me the Legends DLC Yesterday, and although I had short time to try it I
LOVED the retro looks the new tracks-Rouen UAU, just UAU, MAGNIFICIENT:), old skool Hockenheim is also great:tup: Dijon doesn't look that different and Yeah Silverstone 1975 can be a little boring specially with a stock Cooper S:dopey:. Have yet to try Monza.

The thing that stroke me most-I only tried the two porches, the MINI and the Alfa is how good this cars handle stock, no tuning needed.:)
I guess I have to take a short break from my Autolog addiction.:dopey:

But I already saw a event in Glendale and thought: WTF, so nice new tracks and they did a full event using this crappy one?:yuck:

Damn paul, that really sucks big time! My condolences... but whats a foot finger? You mean a toe? :D

@ arvore: You actually made me think again of one thing I found bizarre: The 70s 911 was known for horrible snap oversteer - here in Germany it was called the widowmaker. Yet in the game its incredibly planted and rarely oversteers even slightly. Huh?!

Wohoo! Just drove the Alfa at Rouen Short, the first of the Legend events, and it was pretty sweet :D

However, it was my first time in the stock Alfa and the first time I've ever seen Rouen, and I won on the first attempt by a safe margin. I'm not a particularly fast driver, so that felt a bit too easy (Hard/Elite/G25). What do you guys think?

There's some serious competition in Autolog though - no doubt I'll repeat these races... :)

@ paulpg87 : Ouch! Sorry for you man. I knackered my wrist yesterday driving my Massey (a 57' MF35 - kind of a Legend that too) and had to wait until today to try the Legends pack. But that's nothing, you're out for weeks :( Get well soon!

FLX81 and DJ, Thanks.

Yeah pretty balanced and well planted!:)
One of my favourites-give a go to the Escort 1600 Mk1 too:idea:- and although it's a Carrera RSR, so probably a race version slightly modified for better handling, You're right about it's representation not being very realistic...it should be a handful, I'm sure. But I already gave up of looking for realism in this-or any other as a matter of fact-game, I'm just having lots of FUN!!!:sly::D

I just have one word: Rouen

Right again, My dear Watson.:P
But maybe is more accurate to say:

I JUST HAVE TWO WORDS: ROUEN les ESSARTS X2- since there's two of them Ya knaw?:dopey::D
although that would be 6 words, I know:embarrassed: but I thought it sounded better otherwise:cool:

ahahahah yes, i din't remember that word... foot finger.. what an idiot :)

It's still a foot finger...:P;)

Ha! That was worth it's 10 bucks! I love those cars. But only could manage to try Rouen short. Great one. Most of the time yesterday me and my cousin just had fun to take the fully tuned Cooper around the Nordschleife.^^ (why no works upgrade for that by the way?)

But I were impressed to see how well they managed to give those old beauties a proper feeling. Having to struggle against the other drivers and the track AND the car using the Capri was dazzling somehow.

If someone can make the GT40 drive in a straight line, that and Rouen (for short :D) will be my favourite combo.

Glad I am not the only one. I did manage a 6 car pile up at the start of Silverstone race trying to use that car after I weaved into everyone.

Also the Ford Escort upgraded is a PIA to get under control as well.

I love the cars, but looks like I am going to be lots of tuning to get them under control after a few upgrades.

Add me to the list of those who can't :dunce:

At least I know my game and wheel are ok

Funny - I am a terrible driver but had no problem with the GT40 - playing with a controller on the Xbox version at the time. I think I adjusted the tire pressure and nothing else. I'll try the same thing on the PS3 and see if there are any differences.

Is it $10 in US? If so, then we in UK are getting ripped off as always. We have to pay £7.99 when Americans pay £6.12. :/

It is actually my favourite combo...I've just mastered all the corners in Rouen '52, I know 'cause I got one of those silly badges:dopey:, with it.:)
Aside You and two other friends who've used the BMW-that is for later:sly:- it wiped out everyone in my friends list.
Actually it is tail happy but in a good predictable way and I find it very rewarding and challenging to drive-all FORDs drive great in this game:tup:.
I'm pretty comfortable with my tune for it do Ya want me to post it in Your wall?

Can you post your tune for it here? I am curious. I found most the Fords pretty decent, but the Escort Mk1 is a pain.

Have just bought the legends pack and all I can say is wow , awesome cars and even better tracks, highly reccommend this to any one :)

Just downloaded both! I currently hold the world record for the Mini Hazyview 8 race, it won't last long so sharing my 5 minutes of fame lol

Installed both last night. Very happy with them both.
The cars you win from the 1/4 and 1 mile championships are insane!
I tried to take that Viper to a regular track. Surprisingly, a 2000+ HP Viper with giant rear tires and skinny front tires is not a corner shredder!

Anyone is welcome to add me for GT5 or Shift2 racing: PSN - bkviper
Just put GTPlanet in the message so I know you are valid.

Yes, the whole legends events is kinda easy compared to the faster career races. Only ever had problems when they started to gain such insane amounts of speeds on the straights... a Escort Mk1 shouldnt be at least 40 kmh faster than a 914/6 GT! Had to make some serious blocking maneuvers there... The rest: Piece of cake.
