TUNES ARE CURRENTLY OUT OF DATE DUE TO PP CHANGES FROM A PATCH. UPDATES COMING SOON

Introduction
Thank you for checking my garage out! Long time Gran Turismo player, I've been tuning cars since I was 10 on GT2 (Ah the simple days). I'm in no regard a wizard at tuning, But I’ve put in the time to be confident enough with my builds that I’m sure they can help at least a few of us out. Due to wanting a log of my setups just for backup purposes, I decided to make that information available to anyone who would like to try it out, and hopefully help some people who struggle with this part of the game. I'll be adding more and more as time goes on, so check in often!

I drive on a Fanatec GT DD Pro
FFB MAX TORQUE: 4
FFB SENSITIVITY: 2

Class/PP Range you can expect
Almost exclusively race in online lobbies because BoP GR3/4 sport mode races have been beyond stale for me for a while now. I prefer lobbies that ONLY use Street Cars limited to 700PP with no tire restrictions. When you get a good room going it’s an absolute blast, so give them a try sometime! I usually run at least a couple every other day on average. Add me on PSN if you’re interested.

600-650PP: coming eventually

A few things to consider
  • If a race has tire wear and fuel consumption on, Some changes might need to be made a tune based on the track and tire compound, so please keep this in mind.
  • Unless the starting PP of a car is outrageously high, I will ALWAYS install the maximum amount of performance parts I can, and then dial the car back via ballast/ECU/Power Restrictor.
  • Wide body and aero bits will be listed with the tune and its important that these parts are installed when called for. (Go with whatever option you like for side skirts and most front lips as the lips usually allow for the same amount of downforce, and skirts are strictly cosmetic)
  • Changing whatever tire compound I use with a tune I post usually requires minor tweaks to Nat. Freq., Spring rates, Diff, etc.. If this is giving you trouble, feel free to comment and ill get to it as quick as I can. I find most of the time its a few points in a certain direction on a couple settings and the problem is resolved, so give it a try.
  • I DO TAKE REQUESTS! Please if you like any of my builds leave a comment with something you'd like to use and if I have the capability to get the car or already have it, I'd love to try and create a monster for you.
  • Any criticism is welcome. Again I'm far from a top tier tuner, so if you find something to be so bad you wanna hit your wife, lemme know what it is that felt wrong, maybe some suggestion on how to fix it, and if your wife is okay after that right hook.
  • My setups are for short form races held in online lobbies. This means they're basically "How fast can I make this thing while still being consistent and not going over 700PP". There are some things that can be done to cheese the PP system and break it even more than it already is, but I try not to. If you've ever raced in one of these lobbies I'm sure you've seen the slammed in the back, front in the air AWD car laying down full power with no ballast and winning off straight line speed alone. Those people are dorks, and I try to build as fast a car as possible without using such exploits.
  • If you are gong to use one of my tunes for a single player event or to farm credits with, you'll probably need to change a few things. Maybe you won't, but please remember these tunes were not made for those events specifically, so they may not perform to their peak potential in them.
Tunes will be posted as often as possible

No Widebody
17 inch wheels, wide width/wide offset
Aero: front/side/rear/ any wing you want (wingless is fine, but you’ll have to add some ballast to bring the PP back down to 700 since high rear downforce typically lowers PP even tho it feels much more beneficial than most other settings)
Simmilar to my original build, but much more refined leading to consistently faster lap times. One nice thing about this car in general is that the Medium turbo is just as viable as the high rpm turbo. I use the medium for lower speed courses to rocket out of corners, and the high rpm turbo for all other situations.
Please excuse the awful pics. Higher quality images will be uploaded tonight

This garage has me interested.
Love using street cars as I'm not that talented when it comes to the higher end race cars and online racing.
I'll try some tunes out next week as I'll be busy with work the next couple of days.
I do have a request if at all possible: Silvia S13 '90 with SR20DET-Silvia engine swap SH 600PP..... if you are lucky enough to have this engine.

I would love to, But I dont have an SR20 to use :grumpy: I'll be posting new tunes almost every day, so please lemme know wat you think if you do try one out.
Is the Miata your only swapped engine?
Sadly the only swap I've won is the LT1 that's in the Miata.

I'm looking forward to that C63 tune.
Posting it right now.

BE CAREFUL ON CORNER EXIT. Like almost all RWD cars, she will spin with just a tap when under load in the corners. On corner exit, upshift once before hitting the throttle and it will stay extremely stable. Also, Rev the **** out of this thing, it prefers it.

*Updated 8/13/22

My RL dream car. The entire reason Gran Turismo captivated me as a kid. Ever since the first time my friend showed me GT by letting me pick a car (I chose the Supra not even knowing what it was, I just loved the name), mod it, and drive it, I have been in love. Sadly in most GT games this car is a rocket ship that’s only good for high speed runs. I was determined to not let that be the case this time around. It took a long time to make this thing not be a torpedo. It actually took multiple Supras if I’m honest, since I wasn’t sure if widebody was the right choice, or if some of the permanent engine mods/weight reduction were right either. Finally, I ended up with this and I’m super happy with it. The gearing is the real key to unlocking potential with this car. The wheel spin is usually unbearable but it’s almost nonexistent after 30 mph in this. You can actually drop the front aero and rear diffuser, and that bring PP to 686, allowing you to shed almost the entire ballast, or, drop about 15kg and up the power to 606. TBH I’m not sure which of the three tunes is the “right” one, but for sure this is the best one in terms of consistency. If you always wanted a competitive A80, I suggest you give this a try.

Your sheets exclude the chassis and internal upgrades.

Thank you for catching this! My mistake I must’ve saved or used the same pic twice. Max weight reduction and every possible engine mod is on that build. Tbh I always fully build the car and then dial it back as it gains much more performance opposed to li king and choosing mods. I’ll fix the post with the correct image when I’m home I’m about an hour.

Edit: medium rpm turbo instead of high rpm. You lose 5 hp but gain something insane like 60 lbs. ft. of torque

OK, I tried my own build with no internal upgrades. I did use the Med Turbo, but made some other changes that didn’t work out well. I shall await your return, lol.

Lol I had the c63 fully built the first week the game was out, and I think I drove it around Barcelona once, then shelved it because I thought it was so horrible. Since then I’ve learned to be careful with any car that’s an FR layout because no matter what tune you use, it will still spin if you even tap the throttle at the wrong time. I’d say the single best thing you can do while tuning is find the proper gearing setup. A longer ratio per gear paired with a higher than usual final drive seems to allow the car to lay down power much earlier on.

Fixed. TY again for pointing this out

Edit: decided to take this out a drive and found something that greatly improved it. I've replaced the pics of the tuning sheet with updated ones. Basically, Turning the anti-lag to weak not only made the car able to put power down sooner in corners, but free'd up about 6 PP for me to use on adjusting the suspension and shaving off 25 kilos if weight. Car feels really good now.

I’m pretty light on the throttle with FR’s and that’s pretty much how I set up my gearing by default. Whatever I did, did not work out well.

I’ll retune it to your spec and see how I do…right after I finish this Black Series.

One of the best handling cars I've driven in this game. Seriously bonkers how bad you can mess up and the car somehow save you.

Now that was a white-knuckle experience. That car shoots out of the gate and apologizes for nothing! It also brakes right on the edge, you just have to trust it. That said, it was such an improvement over what I tried earlier and a ton better in the wet. Fuel economy sucks, but most road cars aren‘t very good at that.

Usually I make my adjustments as I fit the tune, but after earlier, I decided to do a straight copy of the settings. I have to leave for work soon, but I’ll apply my customary adjustments later and see how it drives.

So glad to hear it was an improvement! its 100% a serial killer, but once you learn to trust it and control the urge to power out of corners too soon, it really is a beast. if there's anything you do that makes it feel better, please let me know!

'Serial killer' sums up that car perfectly, lol.

'Better' is always such a subjective word. I will present my results and share with others what worked for me.

Good times. I think my new game within the game is testing others' tunes. If I should happen to improve on their efforts, then we'll all be 'better' for it. 👍

Great, thank you. The track tune I mentioned in the other thread is a max tune but I wanted to use it at the 700pp threshold.

NP im glad more people can enjoy this thing. Please lemme know what you think of it!

This is a fantastic tune. Now with the new developments, we will need more tunes for these swapped cars
Appreciate that. 3 hours before i'm home. Hopefully by the end of the weekend ill have a 700 tune for every swap lol
