well, for me, none. But i think there are like 10-15 people that you can't beat unless you have beaten all of the courses.

ok, so i had more than 20 category races left. i have completed all races in all tracks except, Front Rokko and Aso. I have just defeated Master Lord but wanna know if its worth finishing the races cuz i just got Battle Gear 3 and havent even loaded it up yet. 
also, is there anyway i can get more time to finish off the remaining races. i have about the last 3 levels of both tracks left and i can only do 2 races at a time, before switching to night, then back to day.

I had to go out and buy the only RWD car wich was the AE85 and damn it sucked, well after I bought some stuff for it anyway it didn't suck. I beat the first course (Hakone?) and saved up for an S13, damn I love doing those drift competition things.
BTW is the only way to unlock new parts by beating people with those parts and doing those sponsor races? And how do you get those sponsor's stickers on your car?

i just got it, im on like day 3 and i have the ae85 like everyone, i got the engine and tranny up grade and i have 115ps, this car isnt bad but i would like to move up to something much faster, maby with like 200ps i cant seem to beat people with only 130ps and they arent that great into the corners so its not a problem of im not good enough but an up hill battle with a 300ps 350z? its impossible right now, also i raced this blue hatch and lost horribly because i dont have enough power, the air filter did nothing for my hp and i am wondering if i can upgrade to a v or rotary? i need more power and want to stick with toyota(ae86) or nissan(s13 or s14). also i hav'nt seen any sponcer races at all, i read my mail, my bbs, and the info but no sponcer races.
The category races are your friend, just keep getting money from them and then eventually this FTO will appear, if you beat it I think it unlocks some other courses. Oh and you get another 1,000,000 yen.
Also the tie up sponsor part gets unlocked so you can get a level 3 engine. But I don't know how to put teh sponsors sticker on teh car.
Heh also my S13 looks like a beater, because I couldn't afford TE37's for front and rear, so I have stock wheels on the front and TE37's on the rear.
Oh yeah and what the hell is a rally kit?

i just finally got this game last night, and im at about the same point as you, i started with the AE85 wich sucks ass at first, but gets beter after spending a crazy amount of credits on it

Well, I am really into the whole touge style racing thing now after getting into drifiting in gt3 then initial D and all that other stuff. I want to get this game really bad but as other people do I have a dilemma on how to play the Japanese PS2 games. I was just wondering if places like gamestop will install modchips? I am pretty sure they won't, so since they probably won't whats the easiest way to play the Japanese games? Do those one like swapcard things actually work? Also is there a modchip that really requires no soldering? I know this might not be the right thread to post this in but i know that it is fairly active, and to play this game you must have a modchip or a Japanese ps2. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I reccomend a Japanese system.. but I think some people here use the swap discs and have no problem.. For a chip i use the dms3 but that involves soldering. I installed the chip myself and it took about an hour. You just have to be careful, because if you cross a circut.. game over. If you build models or are good with small implements, soldering isn't that hard. The chips that advertise with no-solder, do work, but aren't as good.

I sold my AE85 Levin and bought an AE86 Levin. My S13 Silvia now has around 300hp and it's a beast compared to my old AE85.
I figured out how to get the stickers on your car, but thanks anyway. Very useful that, the sponsor bonus multiplier adds a fair bit to your winnings. I think I beat the normal car cup in My S13 something like 2:15, although I can probably go faster if I tried it a couple times more.
One thing though, I won this level 3 exaust. I went to equip it on my car and it wasn't there, I went to inspect parts and (what I thought was going to happen) selected it. Then the damn thing dissapeared.
Can I find the same guy and get the damn thing back again?
