Kamy's BTCC Series || FinishedFinished

This is very hard to get all cars even when there's different levels of tuning/setup. For example: One person driving a civic May be quicker than a golf, doesn't mean that the civic as a car is quicker than the golf.

Thats what I was trying to say in the server. Maybe like real life the faster racers or higher points have to add ballast to the cars?

That may work, but would be confusing to setup in lobby and championship isn't long.
The easiest way to even up the cars would be to prohibit tuning, and adjust the bhp and weight from there.
But then some cars may have bad handling issues that couldn't be tuned out.

I think someone clipped a rear wheel and I just couldn't hold it, when it was backwards the brakes were just stuffed!

Just watched replay, you got lag punted soo hard once you were sliding to a halt, I wondered how you gained all that speed to collect the front of the pack.

There's also track consideration, as the Golf with hours of tuning from me and @motoraza is very competitive round Brands Indy, but are a real struggle to hold the teggy's on Silverstone National. While the New Focus proved insane on National in a previous testing with the Integra's being much pacier on full Brands. The different track variations make for very different races, which is awesome!

Good racing tonight - things to note for me..

At Silvo International - Golf v.quick through S1, Integra v.quick through S3, made for a very even laptime, much fun! BMW is (imo) far too fast in a straight line though. With a full tow and better corner exit, the BMW is still pulling away, just keeps pulling and pulling. Especially at top-end (5th-6th gear). It is so fast that it's impossible to defend or attack the BMWs. xFlow drove past me down the pit straight - I wouldn't mind if it were down the long back straight, but to get fully in front of me on the pit straight before we'd even reached the start/finish line, when I came out of the corner in front (and with a good exit!), was a bit silly!

At Brands Indy - Struggling a little bit for pace in the Integra but I think that's down to my setup rather than anything else. Again Golf seems close. BMW in xFlow's hands was down to a 47.1 when best I could manage in the Integra was a 47.9 - no doubt xFlow is quick but it's too much of a gap around a relatively short circuit. Others are not slouches either.

Those who were relatively struggling for pace in the BMW, maybe xFlow will let you in on his setup secret and help close things up a bit? (Don't have to, haha, just a suggestion)

Focus seems relatively off the pace but not sure what can be done there - will giving it more power be a simple fix?

Hmm. So top speed needs to be checked too..
Focus was fast on cage's hands. It's really hard to drive but he was in the fight with both integras and golfs

Yea I agree with Andil about the BMW straight line, it is to fast on the straights. But I don't think it's much quicker around the bends. I did take off 20bhp the other day and ran close speeds with dringos civic, so that may be an option.
Kamy how many races are you goin to make wet as I can't see the BMW having the pace in the wet so.

Id say the focus equals the 120d on the straights. However the 120d has a slower corner entrance but more speed towards the exit compared to the other cars.

Ok. We goin to race/test at brands Indy on Thursday? If so I'll do some testing before then with differant bhp and weights on the BMW.

I'm going to have to pull out of this series sorry guys my new work schedule won't allow me to make the Monday race time. Best of luck.

Sorry if I messed up, first time on a forum

Reading through this,
Makes me think it's the real touring cars drivers writing it! Yes everyone wants a fair crack, but to the guy complaining about a 0.8 gap round brands indy, maybe the other guy is quick!
Testing there in real life yesterday and two drivers in the same car, had a 0.9 second gap,
You obviously ain't quick enough

That's the difference between the drivers here, skill. @GODfreyGT5 and I use the same car (Golf). He can keep up with the main pack, but I'm 2 seconds off everyone else's pace.
