Seriously, Hulu? I was looking forward to seeing this, but as it is now I guess Hulu is only available in the US?

It would be nice if GTPlanet would be featuring some info about 'Kaz' soon to clear any confusion, as I honestly can't understand why only a relatively small part of the world should be able to watch it..

If that really is the case, I guess that I - as far as the IP address is concerned - live the US.

I'm befuddled by that too. Still, besides the film leaking out through the usual cheating channels, I have to think that SONY would work a deal to get it out there itself, seeing as it's likely a decent marketing tool for their prize franchise.

Rather disappointed for the Hulu exclusivity. If anything, I always thought the documentary would be available first in the game via GT TV, and then released on several streaming services (Netflix, Love Film, etc)

If I was in Kazunori position, I wouldn't be happy. If anything, I would want my fellow countrymen to watch the documentary first before anyone else in the entire planet.

The next member to post flame-bait in this thread gets a two day ban.

I've had to delete four posts that basically invited an argument already, do not be the person that makes it five, discuss the topic at hand without off-hand nonsense about what you dislike about GT (we have threads for that already).

FYI, there are ways (easier than VPN) to watch HULU outside of the US.

Looking forward to watching KAZ when it comes out. :)

I've just had a chance to see the film, and I really, really enjoyed it. :)

Like Moscovici's other work, it's deep, intellectual, and thought provoking. (I've actually watched it twice now, and I think I got even more out of it the second time around!) I came away with a new understanding and appreciation for why I - and all of us, really - enjoy cars so much. I feel as if I know and understand Kazunori better as well - it humanizes and explains a man who most people have only seen in the one-dimensional context of game interviews. There's also some great segments with Polyphony Digital designers and engineers.

I don't know anything about Sony's plans for international distribution of KAZ, but if I hear anything I'll be sure to pass it along. No doubt, every GT fan needs to see this. 👍

I am looking forward to seeing this. Thankfully my wife subscribes to Unotelly, so I should be able to get Hulu. And it's perfectly legal I believe.

@Jordan , Is the film more subtitles, translations, or plain English? About how long is it?
I plan on watching this after I get back from the Houston Auto Show.

Japanese comments are subtitled. Most commentary (around two thirds) is in English, though. It's 1 hour, 24 minutes long.
I doubt it very much, sorry.
Why?

I'll like to know this too.
Will the movie show us middle management 'overworked', the visits to their doctors, the pressures of modern Japanese life?
Will the movie show us the original motivations for Mr Kaz's foray into games and the creative sacrifices and compromises?
Will the movie show the frustrations of the devoted fanbase who only expect steady and modest improvements in line with the developments of technology and who are subsequently instead taken for granted and taken advantage of as Gran Turismo becomes an exercise in cashback?

Will the movie be a pointless and worthless exercise in self justification and personality culture?

Enough to base the movie on?

Sheesh, does the world need a documentary about a car game designer? That's pretty self-serving. I mean, it seems like something that should be reserved for a person like Kanye West, not a quiet Japanese guy.

"I've released 5 sim titles without a proper tire model, aero or sound. Hmm... better pat myself on the back. Job well done."

No offense but my first thought on that is that I'd rather see a documentary about someone creative who has contributed to the world than some useless rap star.

Of course having not seen it you are in a much better position to state that than someone who has seen it.

Don't get me wrong, you may well be right (for yourself), but I'm sure you understand why I would value the opinion of someone who has actually seen it.

I just went on Hulu and searched "Kaz". Found absolutely nothing.
It doesn't get released until the 22nd

Replying to banned members is unlikely to get much in the way of a response.
