Kazunori Yamauchi Re-Confirms Additional GT Sport Cars and Tracks Incoming

The easy thing about adding weather in GTS is, they won't have to adjust the driving and grip physics at all... It already feels like you are driving in the rain!

What PD need to work on is dry driving low speed grip, physics and the tire model.

Just take the current low speed grip model and add rain visuals. Perfect! 💡

Just the simple test of launching in the dry shows just how bad low speed grip is in GTS. But it feels about right for cold tire wet conditions...

It doesn't feel like you are driving in the rain at all.

Ermm the handling in dry tarmac feels quite realistic already, definitely doesn't fell like driving on wet tarmac at all.

Also, they already increased the grip in update back in the beginning of the year.

Maybe you're not used to this kind of racing game?

So Kaz hasn't dropped the image of the cars we'll be getting on Saturday, so chances are the image of the cars will drop next week. The update will probably follow the next Wednesday, or Thursday, or Friday. This is based on the current trend.

Let hope we get more Honda’s and would love too see spoon cars and Amuse come back too.

That could be improved for sure, especially on FWD cars. I remember watching a vid on YT showcasing how much It differed from RL and other games.

so chances are the image of the cars will drop next week.
That's the most logical guess.

Here's some cars I hope make it into the next updates:

Nissan 370Z Nismo
Lexus LF-A
Audi R8 V10 Plus (2015)
Ford GT (2017)
Ferrari F12 Berlinetta
Ferrari 488 GTB
Ford Focus RS
Shelby Mustang (even if the older one, doesn't have to be the GT350, although I would prefer it)
Corvette C7 Z06
Alfa Romeo Giulia QV

EDIT: How could I forget these: Mclaren P1 and Porsche 918 (they need to join the LaFerrari)

If it's more tracks, I want more Tokyo Expressway layouts. East and Central are great, and that makes me look forward to PD expanding on that. I hope we get a layout using the area near the famous Ferris wheel.

As for cars, the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 are long overdue. Period. Updates for existing cars are always welcome, such as giving the Aston Martin Vulcan a proper fully-adjustable differential and the Fittipaldi VGT a fully-adjustable transmission. 👍

It would be nice to have the option of a 6 speed box even if the cars weren't originally made for a 6 speed and are 5 speed. Some cars can't utilize the potential power because they are limited by the transmission.

Exactly... I've been saying this for months but it seems like PD doesn't even know about this, otherwise they would fix it already wouldn't they?? (lol at people saying you're not used to realistic racing games...)

Right now, if they add rain to the game and lower the grip (most importantly the traction-grip) even further I can't imagine myself enjoy a single rainy race.

I am putting a link to my thread about flaws in tyre model and grip calculation in case someone is interested to keep it alive and help us change it:
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/flaws-of-the-tyre-model-simulation.374616/

seriously... anyone who thinks GTS tyre model is at least okay, go and try some hardcore sims like iRacing, rFactor 2 on PC or even Assetto Corsa or pCars2 on PS4. They all have better tyre simulation. And by better I means more grip, especially under heavy acceleration.

If you're looking for more grip have you tried the softer compounds? Despite what people may say, there are 3 tires above Racing Hard believe it or not.

it's good to dream .................................................. , but I have to agree with all of that ( + 1 or 2 Pagani and Koenigsegg ;-) )

Havent played GTsport in a Month, just because the lack of tracks! Hopefully we will see some more favourites coming back!

I'm in the same boat. I'm finding it increasingly easy to be distracted by whatever freebies PS Plus gives me (enjoying Mad Max this month, plus finally bought F1 2017 while it was in the sale)!

A perfect Game needs it's time and it really looks like they're taking that time.

You've just gotta hope that they get it done while people are still sticking around to play. I guess there are plenty of people in GT League too, but that downward trend is pretty consistent... http://www.kudosprime.com/gts/stats.php?stat_preset=daily_sport_activity

My offline/sport mode profile: 90% offline races, time trials and 10% Sport mode.
I still can't understand why there are so few offline events in the latest GTs and often badly implemented. No prize cars for the GT league events, no qualification, no adjustable difficulty, no championship... And even missions are far too easy in comparison to the old GTs.

We just really need once again more Hondas, they are Japanese cars, and only one of them?

Here is my wish list for next update:

Honda EK 97
Honda DC2 99
Honda EG 95
Silvia S14 or S15
Mustang 5.0 Fox Body
Nissan 240z
VW Beetle
Mazda Autozam 92

I’ll make somewhat qualified guess here;
We know we will get that GR Supra concept. It’s a Toyota, so I think we’ll get Fuji aswell.
The WEC season opener is also coming up soon, and that will be at Spa. So maybe Spa will come too.

Needs some downforce first. At least this would make it vaguely realistic

That too. It's a well-known fact that the Vulcan is able to generate more downforce than its weight, but the Vulcan in-game surely doesn't feel that way, not even in the slightest.

On the subject of downforce, I know for sure that the 911 GT3 RS produces front downforce, something that is also not simulated in the game. 👎

So does the Civic Type R, yet it feels like the front-driven wheels are driving wet track.
