They did show those, in the spec 2 intro movie

That's not a promotional trailer for a company though. Remember the Red Bull "Horsepower" trailer (promo video made for Red Bull).

Yes they did, but, did they ever tease us about them like with these FT86 II and FR-S trailers ? I just wouldn't get my hopes up for these, and wait till the annoucement from Kaz. Keeping things a secret like with the DLC brings more fun to the wait.

Kaz tweeted that he drove the car at Suzuka and Fuji, so hopefully the physics of the car will be on par with its real counterpart. Great to know that Kaz tested the car. :)

"Horsepower" was the video PD requested RB remove from their website, given it contained content that wouldn't be in GT5 (e.g. El Capitan, some of the engine render animations etc.)

EDIT: I'm not saying you're wrong, though. We need to wait and see.

Just sent him three tweets. Hope I can get an answer...

1st: @kaz_yamauchi If the Toyota 86/GT86/Scion FR-S is released in-game, would all 3 models be available for all continents?

2nd: @kaz_yamauchi Or each model would be directed to its market (86 in Japan, GT86 in Europe and Scion FR-S in the USA)?

3rd: @kaz_yamauchi And is Subaru interested in this same marketing strategy with the BRZ adding it to the Gran Turismo lineup of cars?

What about some new European car?!what about the new M3,Aston Martina Zagato V12.........

Write a letter to BMW and Aston Martin and kindly ask them to ship those models to Japan and deliver them to:

Polyphony Digital Inc.
Yamatane Fukagawa Building No.1 2F
1-1-1 Echujima, Koto-ku
Tokyo
135-0044
Japan
SPECIAL DELIVERY NOTE: Please use the Parking Entry for delivery

As soon as they opt to deliver those models to PD, I presume PD will be more than happy to start measuring them and taking all details in order to produce Premium models.

;)

Looks like it's ready for shipping :]

Amar has a point.
How many European cars do you think are in Japan total ? Same with American muscle cars. They may be there, but that doesn't mean PD will be able to get ahold of them for months of modeling.

Didn't they say they traveled to the car for the SEMA winners?
If they can do that for one car I'm sure they can hang out in Europe for a while for a few ;)

I tend to agree with Amar for the most part. GT5 was the new standard of how they model the cars. GT6 modeling should be the same as how they did GT5. But I wouldn't be surprised to see new cars from all over the world if they have started GT6's platform. Just maybe not right away.

Back to the tweets though. I'm curious when he suggests that they may go back at the standard wheel changeability. It just seems that they re-engineered a great platform and didn't look at the whole of the past. But Kaz is reading the constructive criticism and taking a look at things.

This has to be the GT-86, i just drove the FT-86 concept and its not the same interior view

I'm pretty sure that was what he was reffering to when he posted the picture (Though that appears to be the US designated FR-S since I see Scion logos)

To add to this ....

I think it's more of the car companies opening up their dev garages to PD so they can have their hand on the cars before release. This is what toyota/nissan does. It does not have to be in Japan. I think.

So it's not a matter of requesting PD to do something, rather you would need to request the car company to allow PD to come and do their stuff on their unreleased cars.

I'm pretty sure Kaz and his team got hands-on with the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG before full production. I guess it would have been the same with the Ferrari 458 Italia as well.

They do travel.

Again though, Mercedes allowed them access to that car before it was released. No point in travelling if you aren't even allowed to access it. The same likely has happened with the Nissan GT-R and all the iterations of the Toyota FT-86

I saw a few new tweets today. Of course they're all in Japanese. I'll try a google translator and see what I can figure out. If there are any real translaters around then I'd appreciate some help

Just did google translate and it seems like it has nothing to do with GT5. Something about qualifying and the FT86 at the Tokyo Grand Prix.
