I'll say it again, I WILL NOT buy GT6 without a well-developed livery editor.

GOOD. I rather Kaz and PD fully focus on GT6 all together and drop GT5 entirely.

No that's dumb. Ending product support before the next game comes out is not a good idea. GT5 already has burned many a gamer badly, they can't afford to lose any more credibility.

Who knows when GT6 comes out, so til then it will be wise on PD's part to keep GT5 fresh as possible.

It's a lose-lose situation no matter what. They water down the fire (update) but didn't realize they were using lighter fluid (more glitches & bugs). Best to drop it.

How could they manage that? You can't fully support one game and properly work on another with full effort. The time to move on has to come at some point.

True, but making small updates here and there and a DLC one in awhile shouldn't take too much time away from grinding on GT6.

Besides, until a release date is actually given, GT5 shouldn't be thrown to the side.

3rd.

At this point a livery editor is a standard feature for any serious racing simulation. Absolutely no reason for GT6 not to have it.

That's basically what they've been doing since... January anyway. They could announce GT6 at Gamescom in a couple weeks for all we know.

No matter how hard they trie to fix GT5 some people will never be happy. People will have issues with GT6 too and the argument will continue on and on until PD stops making GT games.

If they do that it will take longer and people will throw their toys out of their prams when they have to wait for GT6. I say they work as hard as they can on GT6 and let GT5 fade away.

Really? rFactor , Simraceway , iRacing , GTR game or GT LKegends dont have a livery editor.

Continuing to make small tweaks and fixes on GT5 is just a waste of time and resources at this point in time. People still playing GT5 at this point are probably going to continue to do so anyway, likewise the people that have stopped playing it aren't going to come back because you made a few minor changes or added a couple of DLC cars.

IMHO, I think they'll give support/updates for GT5 until the end of this year (November?), maximum.

The Academy Edition will probably be followed by a Spec3(2.5?) update or something and that's it. As they shown that picture of Lucas Ordonez playing a "new" version of GT5 with indicators for aerodynamics, dampers, fuel usage in real time, that probably will be it plus some minor tweaks and the DLC they are preparing as Kazunori said.

Thats diffeent to having a Livery editor

It's actually better than a livery editor because there are no limitations. Just a template and a blank canvas. And it doesn't matter if you're not able to create them, because the people who are provide more than enough liveries.

GT6 needs a livery editor, and not a half baked one. It won't make me not buy GT6 but it will be a big factor. The rest of the game will have to be stellar in regards to physics, online tools (more control over weather, regulations, etc), and setups. GT6 needs to be a true sim. Tire pressures with temp data so setups are not a shot in the dark or a guessing game. Individual adjustments at all 4 corners for camber Caster and toe. You get the idea.

Seems every thread is turning into a 'GT6 needs this or that' thread :yuck:
Can;t we keep that in the GT6 forum?

You know, I'm quite certain that the people who have issues with GT5 have specific issues with GT5. They don't, as you seem to be asserting, take issue with the fact that it exists.

Exactly. I'm sure the people that have general issues with the GT franchise would have stopped playing them many years ago. People that have a problem with GT5 have problems with that specific game, not the whole series.
