My feeling is sony knows not many people want to shell out for a new console.

Thats why i dont think gt6 will be far off and why we haven't heard much about the ps4.

I'd rather have a game that I can play for years and still have fun even if it takes a long time to make instead of an unfinished product like GT5. I never understood the obsession that a game MUST be released in a certain time period. In the meantime you do something else, it's not like you sit on the computer every day waiting for GT6 news? If Sony was pressuring PD GT5 would have come out long before it did. 10 years to develop a game is nuts. Something tells me Sony could care less and have let Kaz take the reins.

I enjoy GT5 and hate to bash it, but without Target dates and pressure we'll all be waiting a VERY long time for GT6.

Welll if sony tries to force them to release it too much, GT6 could be another premature title just as GT2 was. Ether way it will be a while before we ever see it on the shelves.

It doesnt bother me in the slightest. I would rather a game is finished than a game that has features or cars that people conmplain about. Peiople are complaining that GT5 isnt complete but still those are the people who were crying that GT5 wa delayed.

Kaz changing how he discusses GT titles under development to this more guarded fashion is only an improvement in my opinion.

Problem is with the way games have advanced there are standards now. If PD and Kaz decide to take another 5 years to release GT6 people will eventually leave or not buy it when it does drop.

GT5 was an embarrassment IMHO when it first came out. It's extremely long dev cycle and how unfinished and outdated it was made me wish I had waited and not bought the collectors edition. Now I'm as big a GT fan as anybody, I grew up playing every single release, but I won't touch GT6 until I give it a thorough tryout and it steps up with the features it should have already had in GT5.

On a related note, if GT6 does release for PS4 (I believe it will not) but IF it does, I can guarantee people will wait to see how it stacks up against the Forza (whichever one it may be). If GT6 is a let down the way GT5 was at launch I can see a lot of people deciding which new gen console to buy based on this.

I bought an Xbox 360 just for Forza 4 and I hated it for the fact that they made it way too easy. I love the way you have to work to get money , prizes and cars in GT5 where in Forza 4 they throw new cars at you every ten seconds and all prize cars come upgraded already. If Forza 5 is the same I wont buy it and I doubt I will buy Forza Horizon.

Yea thats what makes GT series so fun in my opinion.👍 Judging by what your saying about forza, i doubt i would like it ether because the burnout games i own are alot like that and they never held attention too well at all.

Interesting. Won't people know when it comes out? They already know that GT6 has already been in development for some time now.

He made no actual comparison of the two games. He was talking about how the two games will influence which console people will buy. Furthermore, you're trying to compare two games that don't even exist.
