I don't want to be pressed for time really, bit of a hectic day running around, and a warmup is a good idea for this circuit.

Thanks! Your pace was pretty decent too, definetely kept me honest. By the way, I pulled over on Lap 1 to let you through because I thought I hit you off into Turn 2, apologies if I did.

We were three wide up the hill and the track narrows with a wall!

I had to dink right just after the right corner as my exit was slightly better than @Timlour.
That left us both vulnerable up the hill. Before I knew it, there was contact!

Good point from @GOTMAXPOWER about only @Timlour and @GT5Apex not bringing out the safety car!

Overall, I thought it was great fun.

I’m not really one to throw the rule book around, I know we all race clean and fair 99% of the time. Looks more like a racing incident to me but I plan on getting the popcorn out and watch the full replay at some point so i’ll have a closer look.

If it hadn’t have kicked off on the final lap I would’ve been amazed to be honest.

The restart is fine because you let off again anyway and it didn’t affect @GT5Apex as he was in his own race.

Contact with the wall up the hill at t2&3, not much you could do really, just unlucky how it threw you into us, and we were bottled up behind @Timlour who had is menu issue at the worst possible moment.

I think me and @DelboyD had damage though and I got stuck on the wall which meant I then sent him into the wall hard on the other side, but I will double check that one because I may have been able to have done more to avoid it.

I had front suspension damage, that’s why you had a run on me over the top and I should’ve defended my line more. I’d been struggling all race with watching the radar (Why is it in the bottom right anyway!!!) and keeping pace with you two at the same time, think I turned in on more than one person by mistake over the mountain. I felt it just in time, and with the damage I had, just bailed on it but then got dirty tyres so I’m not too worried about that one.

I really enjoyed that race, was something different and really showed how brutal the mountain section is. I was getting tired towards the end and a few little mistakes really cost me my chance to fight for the win.
Highlight for me was the middle stint, I think we had about 8 laps without any safety car and we were just setting fastest laps every lap, either you or Timlour were leading and setting a crazy pace and I was clinging on for dear life
Oh and your massive crash out of p1 at the top of the mountain with about 4 laps to go, now that is a proper crash, it looked insane from my view 👍.

Congratulations to @Timlour for the win, @DelboyD for switching to Gr3 last minute and showing good pace and composure when leading the race. @GT5Apex for taking the Gr4 win and seeing it out to the end after the other Gr4 drivers retired. @Chillgamer190 for earning his money with 6+ safety car deployments (and yes I’ll be getting a photo of you facing the wrong way over the mountain ).

We didn't actually touch, I had started on the hards and ran out of grip half way around the corner. It looked like you were a lot kinder to the tyres than I was so you were taking a couple of laps to come up to temperature after each restart but faster and more consistent for the rest of the stint. We had a pretty nice fight all race and all 4 GT3 cars had a go in the lead at some point, it was a great race. Hopefully we'll see you again in the next round.

For the Team Championship we have a new leader in @GT5Apex with a pole and a win from round 2 . @GOTMAXPOWER also extends his lead in the Drivers Championship with a solid p2.

To keep things interesting or until Hammy returns (or someone takes his place ). Apex will be assigned a Pro - Part Time Driver for each round. That driver will be the highest finisher from the opposite class to which Apex enters. It's a bit of an experiment but we'll see how it works out.

Now its time to watch that replay! I've also shared it on GTS for those that didn't make the race.

edit: I made a mistake with the points, I thought Timlour was Pole for Gr3 but it was actually Max. Will correct it tomorrow 👍. I’m also going to demote myself to p4 and promote @DelboyD to p3 after wiping him out on last lap, I really should’ve backed out of that one .

Thanks! You didn’t need to do that. I’ve viewed the last lap contacts as all racing incidents. I also spun it myself at the tight left from third place and let @GOTMAXPOWER through.

Yes it’s a bug by looks of it, for some reason it shows everyone in the wrong position at the start of the replay even though everyone is in the correct place on the grid

So I flicked on the virtual 24hr at Le Mans just to see if it’s any better than the shambles of f1 esports and I’ve now watched about 5 hours of it on and off . They’ve done such a good job and with so many real world teams and some professional commentary added, its a pretty good to watch.

Buzzing for round 3 on Saturday at Kyoto, we should really see the gap between the classes there. We have a switch at Dark Souls Racing, @MaxAttack is taking on the Gr1 and I’ll be running in Gr3, should be an interesting race

I hate to do this everybody, but I'm going to have to withdraw from the series. Having some off track difficulties. Mostly just lost the enjoyment for the game. I haven't raced in almost 2 weeks.
