Kimi....McLaren...JPM

Now.....I will come out and just say it.

Can we PLEASE get Kimi in a decent car in 2005, preferably a red one... even a blue and white one with a funny nose would be better at this point.

McLaren. I have no doubt they will figure their car out but at the rate they are going I think it will be far too late in the seaosn for Kimi to even crack the top 5. The car has shown pace on hot laps but durability and race-ability is low. Not only that it seems they took what Ferrari did with the F2003-GA and made it worst. I mean the F2003 was hard to setup, the new McLaren likes next to impossible to setup. Without DC or Kimi behind the wheel they would be back with the Minardi, wait they almost already are.

JPM. He must be kicking himself at this point about next year. Not that the Williams it much better but at least it is semi reliable, can finish a race some-what competitive and the team seems to be figuring it all out quickly. By next seaosn the car should be pretty amazing. While it looks as if the McLaren may have to start from almost square one again, which means yet another season lapping around with the Minardis...

...nice!

(not).

McLaren are never down for that long. And don't forget, they haven't really had the scope for a large amount of work to be done to the car.

I would think that we'll start to see improvements coming on-stream steadily from the Imola race. Which is the next round, after all...

...I agree...but it will be too late by then.

The other issue is that I think "McLaren" will be fine, they will figure out the chassis. However it Mercedes that I am wondering about....

Yeah, I´m also wondering about the Mercedes. What has happened to it? Kimi hasn´t finished in the last (and only) two races, and i don´t think that he will finish now in Bahrain. I think this is going to be a dark year for McLaren-Mercedes..

Well you said a red one so maybe BAR has a spot.

As happy as i am to see BAR doing so well I doubt they are considered a "prime" team yet. I realistically can see Kimi going either to Williams or Ferrari, hopefully Ferrari. Williams isn't much better than McLaren and when Williams is down they are REALLY down while McLaren seem to hit lower lows but stay there not as much.

ALl I know is he needs a real car, not the toy that Ron and Co. have come up with this year. Hell The Jordons have finished more races. When Jordons are beating you on reliability that is just sad.
