Supercars, hypercars, megacars, or whatever you call them (Is "Ultracar" trademarked yet? I'll have to get on that. :mischievous:) are built to be ridiculous machines without any thought towards being rational or practical cars. There's no disagreeing on that (And we still enjoy them). The thing I love about Koenigsegg is that they can build these insane vehicles, yet make them extremely elegant and refined while being capable of halting the Earth's rotation upon accelerating.

What do you mean by practical, like picking up kids and groceries or being a comfortable ride when not wanting to speed around on a track or drag strip or where ever?

They're being incredibly secretive of the top speed of this (and I assume the Jesko) at the end of the video. Wonder why

Question: is the record official? I mean, last time they set the record with the Agera, they had real-time telemetry showing. In this video, there's really nothing showing they even reached 400km/h, it's just some numbers on a screen.

Not trying to be pessimistic, I love Koenigsegg. I just hate the way this video was put together.

I was really hoping they'd feature an unbroken shot onboard with telemetry like Bugatti did in their 300 MPH run. Maybe Koenigsegg will post that video in the following days. Fingers crossed.

Considering the fact that it did 100-200 km/h faster than it did 0-100 km/h I think it's safe to assume there's more to come if they do decide to test it on a better surface. It can probably go sub 30 seconds.

It seems they have re-thought the way the hydraulic coupling operates. Rather than locking up as soon as the road speed matches idle, as originally intended, it now slips all the way to 270-280 km/h.

After being beat by the Rimac Nevera, Koenigseg retakes the 0 - 400 - 0 record with the Regera at 28.81 seconds. The Nevera did it in 29.94 sec and the previous record held by the Regera was 31.49 sec

And the only differences between the first attempt and this one were more grippy Michelin Cup 2R tyres and a smoother stretch of tarmac to do the run on. 👍

Who would have thought 30 years ago that the banner exotic car rivalry would settle on Sweden vs Croatia.
The biggest aspect of this is that the quickest road car on the planet is...not...electric as we all assumed it would be. It surely will be, but it isn't yet. That's badass.
