Koolance, anyone using them?

I want one...my friend is getting a thermaltake Aquarius soon for his review website www.bytesector.com . For me, i convinced him to call up Koolance but no response from them yet. It would be nice as hell to silence this box.

Gains:
-silent as hell - not as good as a mac g5 but VERY silent (for maximum silence, grab yourself a silenced PSU as well - they make a LOT of noise)
huge cooling improvements and you can stress the processor as much as you'd like without any threat of overheat.

If you want for silence, I have a Thermaltake SilentBoost on my amd - it cut the noise by half. All that's left is to silence my PSU. Again, check bytesector.com for a decent review of the sucker.

As long as your seals are tight, it should be pretty safe, but i'm sure you'll check all of those before you plug your components in.

yea yea, i know, it's self promotion, but at least we're unbiased in our reviews

I wouldn't mind one, my XP2500+ system is sitting at 38-40°C just browsing GTP, using msn and playing winamp on the standard clock! Although it is summer and my case temp is 25°C, I'm planning to shove 2 120mm fans in the top of my case to get some serious cooling going on.

Try a bigger heat sink...the new volcanos should bring you down to just above room temperature. But you should also have something decent cooling your case. My current SilentBoost keeps me around room temperature and I have no case fans - which is a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. But for me, I prefer silence over cooling - as long as it's cool enough.

Ouch. Uhh, if 38-40ºC is bad, then mine must be really horrible!

I'm just sitting here running AIM, 1 IE window, Messenger and a few other programs, not doing ANYTHING strenuous, and i'm running at 47ºC system - I finished player racer about 5-10 mins ago, so i don't think thatd have any effect on my pc..

Crapums. Should i be worried?

naw man, that's average with the standard cooling element that comes with your chip. If you want to fix that, get a better heat sink and MAKE SURE that the thermal paste you use is the good stuff - not the cheap junk that comes with most heat sinks. That'll bring you to a MUCH nicer temperature if you're worried.

I used Arctic Silver Ceramique on my Volcano 12 and XP2500+ I'm still not liking those temps.

Me thinks I might've stuffed up putting the hsf on.

The Athlon doesn't die until 71 degrees C. I don't think you have anything to be worried about. My computer is a XP1600+ at standard clock, 43C at full load(I'm folding). I'm only using some cheap cooling for my computer, but I did take the fan out of an olf PSU and stuff it as a case fan. I also have the side of my computer off. The only problem is it's really loud, and getting annoying. I'm going to work on taht today.

I don't know all the things that you guys sound like you know. But, I do know what I want in a computer, and that Koolance system is going to be the next purchase of mine. I have been looking for a liquid cooler for quite sometime now, and that one looks and seems to have more than I expected.
