I would like to know which Axe scent you all prefer the most. This is not only a way to improve men's chances with women, but also a chance to make 65,000 men smell much better. I also happen to think it would be neat to see what which scents you prefer, in relation to where you live. I forgot the word it's called for that type of study but I'll get around to it.

[edit]

And please feel free to discuss which one you like better, or how you can improve a scent.

...and has anyone else gotten that Camp Touch DVD in the mail? What's with that?

My women say it doesn't smell great at all.

Besides, only Freshmen wear it. Somehow, it makes them think they are "cool".

For once, I agree with Viper Zero.

When I need to smell good, I'm not gonna buy some 4 dollar can of spray. I only wear cologne when I'm out on a date/etc, so it's no big deal buying something more expensive because it lasts me a long time.

My 16 year old brother wears way too much of it, so I can always smell it in our house.

It doesn't smell too bad in moderation, but it seems like most people who wear it put on way too much, which makes me choke. 👍

it's that ad about the axe effect  i was gonna buy one too :guilty:

i know i felt the same way when i saw the commercial. i dont even like wearing cologne because even if i just baaaairly spray it, its still too strong.

have any girls seen this post yet? or are we just a bunch of guys sittin around talkin about it so far? lol, i dont think ive noticed any girls posting before on GTP at all.

No one who is over the age of puberty should be wearing Axe/Lynk (as its known in the UK & Europe) - women know its cheep, the real Lynxs/Axe effect is actually the opposite of the adverts.

Exactly.

The best way of not smelling bad is to have a damn bath and keep clean. 👍

Baldessarini, Obsession, Acqua di Gio, Boss, Drakkar, Herrera, Escape, Cool Water, Pleasures.

Do you really want me to keep going? Go to your loal department store (NO, not Wal-Mart) and try out a few dozen. Find a cute sales girl, and ask her what she likes. Have her help you pick out something that you like, and that she thinks smells good too. Then, go home and buy it on ebay. You should be able to get almost anything for less than $30, and it should last you at least a year if you just wear it like a normal human. Considering how much Axe you'd buy over the next year, it should actually cost LESS than the Axe you would buy. And trust me, any chick worth going out with will know the difference between Axe and any REAL cologne.

[edit] By the way, shopping really is OK if you're doing it to get girls!
You could start a new poll asking what cologne the girls of GTPlanet like best. But you'll have to do some homework first to know what choices to offer. Don't use my list--I'm sure I've missed something obvious. Its a rather eclectic selection in any case. But the discussion should be a good one.

My Paco Rabanne and Versace Blue Jeans always works a treat.

I guess you guys are talking about deoderant/anti-persperant though, right?

Deodorant/Anti-perspirant is not supposed to make you smell good. It's supposed to keep you from smelling bad. Buy something that keeps you from pitting out and smelling like a street urchin, and buy some cologne.

[edit] Unless you ARE a street urchin. In which case, just ignore everythign I've said. Which may also be good advice for those of you that ought to stay out of the gene pool.

What! do you still live in the 1980's? :sly:

but seriously, you're right - you just ain't getting laid if you wear Axe, you have more chance with a light scent of good cologne. Don't drown yourself with it to mask the fact that you've not washed - but don't scrub yourself with bleach either, women like the natural scent of male pheromones.

Axe is lame. Go buy a real cologne.

Perry Ellis Portfolio Reserve. 👍 Every woman that I have been with has absolutely loved it.

HEY!! Obsession is a classic, Acqua di Gio is less than 5 years old, and Baldessarini is brand new! But I have to admit, the others are 90's!!

There was a study done that showed most women think most cologne is GROSS and unsexy. They actually think scents such as baby powder and jelly beans are sexy. Weird, huh? Another study showed that humans do have pheromones and we react to them even though we have no vomeronasal organ (not that any cologne/perfume that claims to have them is going to help. They use ANIMAL pheromones, lol you'll be attractive to cows) so really, anything that covers up your natural scent will be bad. Bathing is good though, you'll still have the pheromones, just not the stink.

Halston for men. But really, really, little of it.

Right now I'm using a Burt's Bees aftershave that smells pretty good; it's actually made for sun weathered skin. A spray or two is plenty.

And you're going to get really bad statistics with a sampling of three, assuming you get that many.

Anything by Thierry Mugler - cologne actually designed for what women like to smell - not what men like to smell!

ya mama...

Yep, and your mama loved it too. As a matter of fact, she bought some for herself so she could remember me. Scent is the strongest sense tied to memory right!

Oh, by the way, I left my watch on her nightstand. Can you tell her I need it back? :sly:

I think you'd better buy odorless EFFECTIVE deodorant which doesn't burn your armpits away like Axe does and get nice cologne instead. I'm a guy, but most deodorant just smells cheap. Don't believe the hype axe is trying to create, you won't get hordes of women after you after using it. I know, women never chased me and after I used axe they still didn't chase me. :D

AXE=High school. If you're in high school, great for you. But I'll still bet the women in high school would rather go for the guys with real cologne.

It IS interesteing to see how well their advertising campaign is working, though.

Hahahaha. I bet she kept your watch for farting in her bedroom, she remembered you by the smell.

Is Axe like Lynx?

Because some of the names seem very similair.

[EDIT] A quick google and it seems like it

I don't use deodrant, I use Right Guard Sport anti-persperant.
