Can you test the CLK Touring Car and Yellowhat YMS Supra?
I could give you MY answer, but I don't want to offend anyone, or get banned , so I will keep my answer to myself. Frankly, I think it's fantastic that you're giving so much attention to the lower-powered to mid-powered cars in GT6. You can have so much fun in these cars when racing with a group of friends because the cars are a little bit easier to control. Also, you're doing these reviews on Comfort Hard tires. I'm actually surprised that you've even tested some of the cars that you have. You must have some incredible throttle control, my friend. As always, keep up the fantastic work. You have no idea how often I refer to your Suzuka Lap Times data and this Laguna Seca Lap Time data each week. How come nobody wants me to test any slow cars? Those I actually want to drive lol the Audi R8 LMP is going to be another ice-skating affair, but I will oblige.

Which car did you short-shift 1000 RPM below redline? The 120d or the 120i? Or both?1:55.901 - 388 - BMW 120d '04

The diesel has 12 more hp, 104 more ft-lbs, but weighs 80 kg more. After a couple laps shifting at redline, I found it best to shift about 1,000 rpm short of that, to stay in boost. Just another reason why manual is better/faster than automatic.
Edit:
Once I finish testing every car, I might go back to all the times that ended on a .0 and get them down to at least a .9 or better.
Ahh, for some reason I thought the 120i was a 4-cylinder turbo. Thanks for the clarification. The 120d has a turbo-diesel engine with a low redline of around 5000-6000 if I remember right. It stops accelerating fast 1,000-1,500 rpm before redline. My ghost was shifting at redline, and I was shifting early and pulled ahead a lot so that's how I knew to short-shift for the best lap time.
The 120i is naturally aspirated.
Update!

Wow. That Ford Focus RS is in pretty good company. I just checked out the list to see what else set a similar lap time. That FocuS RS is less than three-tenths of a second behind the 1996 Corvette Grand Sport!
