Okay, so the prize car is a Vivanitgrün-colored MB SLK 230 Kompressor '98 straight out of the UCD. Only changed the oil and gave it a spin on the Madrid Mini to get some pictures to post here.

Specs:
2295 CC
201 BHP/5500 RPM
29 KGFM/2500 RPM
FR
1325 KG
406 PP

And madwi, thanks for offering a prize car, but I'll let you keep it until it's your turn to host, all right? ;-)

Great prize despawn!!!! 👍

Just PM'd a few people who have raced before to see if they want to get involved tonight.

It would be great to get loads of cars on the track...with cars going in and out of the pits should be fun!! :)

Probably not gonna be able to make it tonight :banghead: due to a mountain of homework.... I hate school

Sorry, Schousbølle, I tried to remove you from the list, but I wasn't able to. That means you will have to show up. The night is long, you can do your less important stuff (aka homework) later 👍

:D

:D

I second that :D

Hey do I get a 2 lap head start because I've been up since 4:40am today

Haha, nice try, but sorry mate. Anyway, welcome!

The room is now open.

During yesterdays practice we raced the TVR Tamora '02, a FR car sporting 345 BHP. Tonight we'll be racing a Chevrolet Camaro SS '10, upping the BHP to 427. But the PP is the same, both cars are rated with 480 performance points. Tires are still Sports: Soft maximum, light penalties and no other restrictions.

well seeing as how I don't really know how to do the homework i'm supposed to be doing, it's probably gonna be an all nighter, so what's an hour of GT in the grand scheme of things :D... see you on the track 👍

Quick fix for all the connection issues going on: somebody else setting up a new room.

EDIT: CSSdk is hosting.

We have raced in CSS's lounge before right? Im getting a Network not compatible with Host [706] error...I had this problem the other day too when trying to get in someones lounge I know I have raced in before...grrrr.

So when you say in the OP that the car will be ready at 8:30 to pick up from the garage, does that mean it is one of the recommended cars, or is there a a way to share a car you own so everyone in the room can use it?

Only 5 finished tonight...:ouch:...25 laps....wow that took about 40 minutes...still enjoyed it...tyres were doing ok....not sure if it was even worth a pit stop???

Connection wise....might just have been one of those nights....better luck next week I hope...maybe worth setting race quality to low for your lounge despawn...and everyone should 'clear system cache' then switch off and on before entering someone lounge...that's meant to help...:)

only 5 finished? i might of had a chance at the top 4 hahaha. Hope you all had a good race! I was doing OK in practice. that teal mercedes I thought I had a shot a it :P

I think we could change the format this week on Monday to a series of 5 lap races starting at 8.30pm with reverse grid order for each subsequent race.

This will mean more 'fun' races and less messing about qualifying (over an hour last night) and if you do get kicked (we aren't the only group to experience this problem) then it's not too long before you get race again.

With this format, I think we should drop Sunday night as an 'official night' and focus on a good fun Monday with 5-10 'fun races' for a couple of hours or so.

We can then see if that works better and if not go back to a longer race on Monday (practice on Sunday) with qualifying etc just as we have done from the beginning.

Thoughts please...:)

I like the idea, more races in less time, we can try and see how it goes.

I fully support this!

I couldn't race last night because I had an exam today and it was going to get veeery late... Sorry guys :P I've been too busy.

First off....id like to apologise to anyone who i may have upset by spotting DJ through the race.
Having been booted on about lap 8 with a 5 second lead, i decided to pop back in and view the rest of the race.

Interestingly DJs tyres held up and even a pitstop didnt improve his times. Yet piti on old tyres still matched laptimes at the end of the race.

Congrats to DJ for a great victory. Smooth racing all the way.👍

Im happy to join in on any races. Think 5 laps better than 3 tho.

I know equal cars should equal close racing, but that wasnt the case lastnight.

Feel free to shoot me down, but some people like 4wd some like rwd and some Fwd.
Why not try a week where we set PP and WHT and let us choose what car we own from our garages.
I know that sounds selfish of me as have all cars bar one. But we all must have some cars that we use in career mode.

Just a suggestion. Maybe a mini race or bttc or something.

Nice idea! I for one do not like the FR car, I always shred the tires too fast - which became painfully clear last night .
Plus it would be nice to shake things up a bit with different cars.
