Hello wc420pro,

1st before I give U my tune please note that this tune works for me so I don't know if it will work for anybody else. I use the DS3 controller n I use an automatic car, so please keep this in mind (I'm not good at manually shifting, lol).

Transmission:

1st I move the final gear drive to the lowest gear possible (higher number) which is 5.500. Next I set the top speed at the bottom all the way to the lowest gears, so top speed is set really low for accelleration. It is set to the lowest at 124.

As far as setting the individuale trans gears, they are as following:

1st: 3.848

2nd: 2.695

3rd: 1.976

4th: 1.500

5th: 1.135

6th: 0.830-0.890 (depending)

Last, I reset the final drive gear to: 3.73-3.93 (depending on accel or topspeed).

Suspension:

ride height:

front: -7

back: -7

spring rate:

front: 12.1

rear: 12.1

dampers:

front: both, 6

rear: both, 7

anti rollbars:

both (all) 6

camber:

front: 1.7

rear: 0.9

toe:

front: 2.0

rear: .9

Drivetrain:

differential lsd:

both front and rear is set to the same numbers:

initial torque: 17

acceleration sensitivity: 47

brake sensitivity: 17

torque sensing center differential:

stock: 30/front 70/rear (up to U, more up front for more understeer, less up front for more oversteer) (mind U, I could be wrong about this)... lol

ballast position:

-1 or -2 (more weight up front)

As far as the weight I left that mostly stock w/chassis reinforcment (left for stage 1 engine tuning.

If I left anything else out, please let me know n remember I use a DS3 n my car is set to auto tranny. So with this in mine, have fun n I hope that U win....

Thank you so much. I am using DS3 and automatic gear shifting too.

No problem. At 1st, I used a lil bit of the aids n this is how I set it up:

skid recovery force: on

active steering: strong

active stability management (asm): on or (off if ur gentle/w finess with the gas n brakes)

abs: 1 or 2 (all wheel drive, lower number; rear wheel drive, higher number...)

controller steering sensitivity: 7

N these tuning I used for the: Gallardo, murcielago n the murcielago superveloce

good luck n hope U win!

Using aids is what they are there for so I'm glad that folks are using them to get the best from the game. Hope you don't mind me passing on a couple couple of tips from a fellow DS3 user;

> You'd be better off increasing your Traction Control rather than use ASM. The other way to control wheel spin is to set your LSD values to low numbers.

> Active steering on the DS3 will slow you down and doesn't really do much for you. It's more effective if you are a wheel user

No I don't mind, thats what these forums are for, to learn for others. I myself have alot to learn.

Umm skid recovery is forced off for TTs!

I also disagree about the TCS. I think if anyone has trouble with wheelspin, they should turn it off so they can feel what the the tyres are doing. Having TCS on prevents you from feeling how much power is too much.

This isn't a TT. SRF can be turned on.

Also, for a ds3 user, TCS is more needed than ABS. I can use no ABS without a problem, but if you take my TCS away from any car over 400hp, I'm done.

Ahh i see, my mistake.

Wow really... I drive everything without TCS. Even LMPs, Ferrari F1s, and X1s!
I only have abs on 1, nothing else.

And i also need SRF to be off. I cannot drive with it on!!

I also drive everything without TC. I feather my accelerator instead, I also brake feathered and sometimes even steer like that. ABS is set to 1 just to make sure I don't lock my wheels every time I get overzealous with the pedal... because with the faster cars, if you lock wheels braking into the corner, they heat up, then, when exiting, they are too hot and slippery to get decent acceleration or may even cause you to spin out. It makes accelerator control infinitely more difficult if you try to drive with smoking tires in an LMP.

It wasn't pretty. It wasn't clean.
Walls were hit, corners cut, gravel traps visited.

A few weeks ago I really thought this was impossible, but finally I cracked the ring. I got first on the last corner and won by 1.4 secs.

A big thank you to everyone for the words of wisdom and encouragement on here, esp. Fruity for the tune.

For all those that didn't think it was possible (as I did) experiment with different cars, try different tunes and settings and keep lapping - it will come.

Thanks again guys.

I had some time yesterday evening and I tried your set up. I can say I am going there :) It is fine set up. It suits me. I am faster. Unfortunately I didn't won :guilty: but I am getting there. For sure I am faster. Also what I have found out is that without ASM I am driving faster!
I'll keep on truing!

Great, keep it up because it took me awhile too. Like I said, use my tune as a guide then fine tune to ur needs n driving style...:)

I had an hour of free time this afternoon. Still didn't won :nervous:, but I am getting there slowly. My best lap time so far is 7:08:440, second place, which was +3.984 behind winner.
Keep on trying!

I think I am way to cautious... I think I break too early approaching the turn...

remember to try that same tune on different Lambo's. Find the lambo for U with different combos of the stage weight reductions and stage engine tunings. I have found that with no weight reduction (all stock) with just maybe a stage 1 engine tune n maybe a wing. I get better grip at higher speeds around courners. its just acceleration may suffer a bit but if U can just find ur groove (feathering the gas n brakes) U can beat it!

I do too. I brake too early and for too long, getting very slow cornering speeds and usually accelerate too early out of the turn, costing me even more time due to tire spin. I also figured out by watching my own replay (from inside the car so I can see my guy's hands on the wheel) that I steer way too much and twitchy. But if I smooth out the steering, I seem to automatically relax more on the brake and gas, which makes the smooth steering obsolete, because I am slower and don't need to be so careful with the wheel... it's a vicious cycle of too slow vs too fast. I am still trying to find the balance, the perfect pace to better my lap time...

Ok, one last race to go for me. Its the Autumn Ring. Its sooo short with alota curbs/turns, a short track thats giving me alota problems. I got my Lambo 560 geared really low geared, susp. set-up to my personal driving style. Still given me problems, keep comming in like 2nd-3rd place...

I feel good! I know that I would! I feel good!
After months of truing, after numerous Galardos in my garage, I have finally made it!
I still cannot believe, but I won at notorious Nurburgring.
It was last night CET when I did it. I was driving Galardo with rear wing, I think it is Shoes set up, with some little modifications made be myself to suit me better. I was finishing constantly 3rd or 2nd, going faster every time, but not enough for 1st. At one point I have even tried Murciélago for a couple of tries, but without success. When I come back with Galardo, I've got race with 3 Lamborghini Miura P400 Bertone, and I was like, OK this you will never win. My lap times were going down with each try, many of them I have canceled at some point due to slow intermediate time, or off track excursion, bes I had was 7:06:566 with +1.370 behind winner. I've read that some of you guys have experienced that all 3 of them go out of track on Nurburgring, I witnessed that on other tracks but never on Nurburgring. I was at not so good lap, when it happen out of nowhere. I think I was like +5 sec behind 1st at 4th place, when all 3 leasing Muira's went off track! I've passed two of them, and I've got remaining one two corners before long last straight. I was so nervous not to mass it, my hands were so wet from sweat... At the long straight I had to defend, because Muira got into my slipstream, and was trying to pass me. I shake it off and went on to finish with 7:08:252 with lead of 1.620. I know it is not good lap at all. But WIN IS A WIN!!!!! I AM SO HAPPY!!!
BIG THANKS TO EVERY ONE FOR TIPS AND TRICKS AND SUPPORT!!!

And ur heart ready to explode out of ur chest ! when i was finally 1st going down the long straight i paused and had a drink...to enjoy the satisfaction, maybe also to just enjoyincase i screwed it up on last sector.

congratsssss

To be honest with you, I didn't even tough pausing the game, fearing that I might screw something. I just wanted to finish, and finish 1st and than enjoy the moment!

Congrats Wc420pro, I myself had such a hard time with this track n the Autumn Ring. I finished both afew days ago n I feel sooo satisfied n happy. I'm just taking a lil bit of a brake from this game due to the stress that this game gives me, lol. Next up, tune my Lambo that I won from this event... 💡:)

I won the Ring today with a 7.09 lap! Has anyone else had a lap this slow? On a previous save it took around 7.04!

It depends on the race. I've won with 7:08...I've also lost with 7:03...it all depends on the race...every "bob" runs a but different, so sometimes the AI might be a bit slower or faster

Anyone have where the Muira's get 4th and 5th at the nurb? LOL! After a few hours of frustration and the race right before this one losing by less than a second, There was an epic moment haha. Video to follow soon if I can get it uploaded.

Edit: Ok first off after looking around I found you can't upload a video, I need a video capture card to do that. Does anyone know if walmart would carry one and how much I would have to spend for a decent one? Don't know anything about them.

K back to my little story, so yea I been at this race a few hours today getting some what close with the guillardo the first try, 2nd place 2 seconds behind with my own tune. Not so good the next few rounds, so I switch to FruityCakes tune and wasn't having much luck with that either so I decided to try an identical tune on my Murcielago and I noticed when I was keeping it on the track and doing some good power slides that I had caught up to the muira's almost well before the last stretch only for something stupid to happen, damm cpu spun me out.

So on this last shot at it (not going to lie I did a couple small shortcuts but they probably weren't needed) I was right at about 5 minutes into it and I had caught 3rd place already and as I'm rounding this corner not quite on his tail yet I see in the background 1st place spun out against the wall aimed toward us lol. After watching the replay both the muira's did the same thing on this one corner but the 2nd place swerved around him and was out of control back down into the middle of the round and I kind of slow down to about 60 I think and I was thinking ah krap here we go again another wipe out. Well that didn't quite happen. With about 3000+ lbs of lamb chop I smack right into him and send him for a ride and off to the finish line I headed. This was a pretty good race now I just got the last one to finish, lets hope it doesn't get any harder.

Here are the pics I made instead of the video.
