Isn't the current offical lap record in a Formula car just under 7? I mean, IRL is a Gallardo even able to do it that fast?

The official Nurburgring lap record is 6'11.13, set by Stefan Bellof (RIP) in a Porsche 956.

A Gallardo running 6'50 laps on comfort tyres is not in the slightest bit realistic... a Zonda R on slicks only set a 6'47.

I agree .... a real Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 did only 7:52.

Finally!!! :)
It was a really tough seasonal but now i finished it by using my DS3 (no wheel available).
I started with my Gallardo LP 560-4 which i owned since the A-SPEC Lamborghini event. It was tuned with all parts (inclusive weigth reduction 3, chassis reinforcement, engine 3) and power limited down to 550 pp. I used a basic tune of praiano63 and made some small personal adjustments. The races on Autumn Ring, Special Stage Route 5 and Toskana were pretty easy and i could finish them by only one attempt. Rome City was a little harder but after 5 tries i managed to drive clean, fast laps and catched the 2 Miuras in the last corners of lap 5.
Now only Nürburgring Nordschleife was missing and that got me almost desperate. :banghead:
I was able to do lap times around 7:15 which was only enough for 3rd or 4th place. Searching for some help in this post i found Shoe67's tune, tried it but could not really improve my lap times.
I thouhgt maybe i should drive another Lamborghini and picked the Countach LP 400 using a tune of praiano63 again. This is a real beast, better acceleration and top speed than the Gallardo but harder to control and keep on the track. I could lower my lap time to 7:10 and finished in 2nd place but the leading Miura was still far away.
Then i found this insane video of Lewis_Hamilton racing with an almost stock Gallardo 6:50 and thought maybe this is the way to success. So i went to the NCD and bought another Gallardo LP 560-4, installed a wing to set the downforce to 20. I did not purchase weight reduction or chassis reinforcement, also no engine, intake system or exhaust parts. All i did was to install a fully customizable transmission, all drivetrain parts, a fully customizable suspension and sport soft tires. But i did not change any parameters except the transmission. I changed it in the approved way: set to default, final gear all right to 5.500, top speed all left to lowest, then set the ratios relative to the scale (1st 0%, 2nd 20%, 3rd 40%, 4th 60%, 5th 80%, 6th 100%) and at last move the final gear to achieve ur top speed of 325 kmh/ 200 mph. The power limiter has to be setted to something in the 90s% to lower the pp to 550.
On the track the car felt great, not too much understeer or oversteer, stable when getting a little of the track and fast when sliding through the corners. When the car gets a little out of balance it becomes stable again quickly, so it is easy to keep the desired direction.
In my first attempt with this new Gallardo i finished 2nd place in 7:10 and i knew with this setting i could do it. My 2nd try was pretty fast, i recognized the lowest intermediate times ever, though i went a couple of times of the track and had a few troubles passing the AI cars. In the right corner before the long straight Döttinger Höhe i passed the leading Miura and with an increased heartbeat and sweaty hands i came in 1st - 7:04!
This was my (maybe too much) detailed review of the Lamborghini event and i hope all other still trying racers will achieve the win soon!
Can you post your suspension set up, and gearing please?
Thank you

Thank you all for the commentaries and tunes :)
FRUITCAKE amazing tune. I think I messed my own car cause something wasn't right on the corners... 7:10 to 7:01 .... Made 1st with 2.580s difference. More than 1 time I ram softly so for the ones who have DS3 like me, they might have a chance if they tune with FRUITCAKE info.
Will post video when I'll buy the HD PVR.

There is no way to transfer from PS3 to PC right? Cause I saved the replay

He wrote that he changed NO settings except the transmission. So all defaults except the tranny, downforce and the engine power limiter.

In that case why did he bought customizable suspension? Any way I have tried that, unfortunately without success :grumpy:

I have tried like gazilions of Gallardos with every set up that I could find, and 2nd is the best. I have tried other Lamborghini's, also without success. But in that quest of mine for a perfect Lambo, I did notice that I am fast with Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. Does any one of you fellow races have some REALLY good set up for this car?
THANK YOU

I bought the fully customizable suspension because it improves the handling of the car - ride height, spring rates, dampers,anti-roll-bars are optimized automatically, even if u dont change anything (compare the settings of stock suspension with fully customizable suspension!).

Transmission settings (i described already, don't have the exact values in mind):

set to default, final gear all right to 5.500, top speed all left to lowest, then set the ratios relative to the scale (1st 0%, 2nd 20%, 3rd 40%, 4th 60%, 5th 80%, 6th 100%) and at last move the final gear left to achieve ur top speed of 325 kmh/ 200 mph

This is a general description of how to set the transmission, u can use if for most cars.

I'm not sure who to thank on this one, Hamilton for giving you the inspiration or you for sharing this! hahaha. You get lots of points from me for sharing this experience. I went from saying that 7:25 or 7:20 was the best I could then to around 7:15 or 7:12 as the best but this time, the third try with your tune, I got 7:05 and the win. It wasn't pretty, that's for sure, but I got it, thanks to you. Unbelievable!
I didn't use your exact tune, just the gear settings. That made all the difference and my Gallardo (I have about 17 of them and must have run this race 100 times, no bull) ran like a scared rabbit. Didn't even have the wing. The car is shared if anyone wants to give it a try. Name is the same as here.
Thanks a million times Patrick for all of this. What an awesome tune! I truly feel that if I run an error free race, a time of under 7 is possible. Maybe I'm dreaming or just high from the win. :)

Thanks for thanking! :dopey:
It's cool that my described experiences in this special seasonal and my explanation of how i succeded help others to do it. Those gear settings haven't come out of my mind, i don't know much about tuning. I just orientate on what is written in all those tuning guides and this general gearbox for real sometimes works wonders.

Have fun racing!👍

At long last,it's done! Gallardo,no wing,no weight off, just all drivetrain upgrades and full transmission.must have run this 100 times or more,if your first split time is more than 24.0secs start again....happy.com

Some help from some of the great tuners here please. Started gran tur firsr time with gt5, can win Nordschleife most times now.
My problem are the kerbs and jumping, suspension -15, -10. Sr 10.6 11.5 lsd 6/7 5/6 3/4 . car weight 1300 kg Gallardo . Is it possible to get rid of it completely or will there always be some? Ty in advance

There is no way to prevent this car front jumping when hitting the curbs. That is because the car has no front downforce.

Nordschleife,,, where u are never in 1st , cant u disregard 1st gear and just tune trans from 2nd onward? would that make a difference? fruity's trans tune from 1-1000 is the best i have seen, tested on test track. But here its usually 60-100 to highspeed.
would it help to have a really long 1st and the other more close? any ideas?
lewishamilton great lap here he isnt in 1st even once..not even karousell

btw Lewishamilton would love to see ur lap in kms..or i gues i could do mine in miles...so i can judge where i am lacking

Hello everybody. Maybe somebody can help me, having problems on this event. I've tried everybodys tune n the best I could get is 2nd place. I have found that with trying my own tune, I did a lil better. I've looked/watched on youtube on some people race but for some odd reason I can't do it on my own. Lol, even when I cheat (though I try not too). My best is like 7'04" at 2nd place. Am I doing something wrong, I'm sooo frustrated...

7:04 is able to win. You just gotta have the right lap where everything works. Go for it. Just keep running it with your favorite tune and you will win soon enough. You are very close.

Thanks Shoe67. I just gotta keep at it like U said. One more thing I forgot to add is that I'm using a DS3 and auto trans because I don't know how to shift manually, lol...

Also, has anybody had it to where the 1st 2 or 3 rabbit Lambo's crashed? It happen to me a couple of times n they just stayed their n not even try to move from the crash, I wonder y?

I've seen it as well. I think they completely stop until there is no traffic around.

yea especially if there are 3 miuras, i find they crash more often, esp if u are are pressing them at eschbach curve. have won with 7:08 and lost with 7:03.
Make sure u have asm off,,, really slows u down

Are U serious, this is good information, thanks. Its just seems like my GT5 game has it in for me seeing as I just can't win even with my best time of 7:04 lol. The good thing is, the more I play the better I get, seeing that I'm a 40year old lol...

*update* Haha, I just got gold at the Nurb at a time 7:09 lol... the funny thing is, is how far back behind me the miuras were.

now for the other 4 races...

You lucky.... :). It happed to me on Autumn Ring and Toscana. But I wasn't that lucky to have it on Nurburgring :grumpy:
How I wish for that to happen. I'll grab to opportunity... I'll keep trying.
By the way, can you post your set up?

Thank you

Hello wc420pro,

1st before I give U my tune please note that this tune works for me so I don't know if it will work for anybody else. I use the DS3 controller n I use an automatic car, so please keep this in mind (I'm not good at manually shifting, lol).

Transmission:

1st I move the final gear drive to the lowest gear possible (higher number) which is 5.500. Next I set the top speed at the bottom all the way to the lowest gears, so top speed is set really low for accelleration. It is set to the lowest at 124.

As far as setting the individuale trans gears, they are as following:

1st: 3.848

2nd: 2.695

3rd: 1.976

4th: 1.500

5th: 1.135

6th: 0.830-0.890 (depending)

Last, I reset the final drive gear to: 3.73-3.93 (depending on accel or topspeed).

Suspension:

ride height:

front: -7

back: -7

spring rate:

front: 12.1

rear: 12.1

dampers:

front: both, 6

rear: both, 7

anti rollbars:

both (all) 6

camber:

front: 1.7

rear: 0.9

toe:

front: 2.0

rear: .9

Drivetrain:

differential lsd:

both front and rear is set to the same numbers:

initial torque: 17

acceleration sensitivity: 47

brake sensitivity: 17

torque sensing center differential:

stock: 30/front 70/rear (up to U, more up front for more understeer, less up front for more oversteer) (mind U, I could be wrong about this)... lol

ballast position:

-1 or -2 (more weight up front)

As far as the weight I left that mostly stock w/chassis reinforcment (left for stage 1 engine tuning.

If I left anything else out, please let me know n remember I use a DS3 n my car is set to auto tranny. So with this in mine, have fun n I hope that U win....
