Of topic but with SRF on and RS tyres a few cars roll rather than slide. the Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO CN.AR750106 ’65 (Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Gran Turismo Trophy 2009) is a case in point.
 
Hehe....got every car and the sexiest ones several times. Bought/won them all - wasn't a part of the duping craze that went around before the 1 000 000 cr. limit was imposed - and I ain't never seen no 2J in my dealership even after 2.5 years playing with two accounts taken to level 40. It's the only car that eluded me. Had to resort to a birthday ticket to get it, so don't hold your breath!

I have seen it twice in the rotation, same with the 2D, but I didn't have the Credits at the time. The last time I saw it, I had just bought a Ford MkIV for 20,000,000, earning me the "Penniless" trophy, and was too broke to get it. Attempted to quickly earn enough to buy it, but I was unaware that entering races changes the dealership list, so I missed it. Now I check the dealership after every race, just in case and I keep around 15,000,000 so I have the flow...

OMG THE DAMN NURB. I have completed EVERY race in every seasonal with a gold as had just about all on here. Can I hell as like get a gold with a Bull on the Nurb!!!!!!

Use the lp640. Change your lsd to front: 15-25-18 back: 18-30-25 and put your gears to 240mph. Just change the camber to 1.4 for the back and front. Simple and ribbish tune (because i couldnt be bothered with this car lol) but worked for me, i won by 48.xxx seconds

When you say "days" that's in-game days, meaning race entries, correct?

That's right, in-game days. You can check that in the save data utility so you know when you're getting close. It saves having to check the UCD after every race. I was doing that for a while but it becomes a chore and every now and then I'd not bother because I was enjoying a race too much, then I'd worry that I might have missed the car I was looking for. Also if you know you've got plenty of time to earn credits, you can afford to buy other cars in the meantime without worrying about being caught short of cash.
 
I pretty much want to break something.

I started the ring and ran really crappy times, 7:19 ish, got a tune from this thread and practiced like a mad man.

The mura's were running 7:11 ish's and I managed to get down to 7:11 and they ran 7:08

I got down to 7:08 and now they are running 7:04 WTF. ARRRRRGGGGGKFJSKDJG:KJFA

I haven't been taking any shortcuts though. I have been looking for them and I see maybe only one place that will work. So i guess maybe it's time I should try it and do some research.

I did manage a measily 2nd place with my 7:08 though, so maybe it's just a matter of catching them on a bad lap. Although it seems like people are still running quite a bit quicker, I just don't know where I can shave off seconds at this point.

Managed a 7:06.3 and a second behind first. Not sure where I am gaining, but the more I play the magically faster I go lol.

I would just like to thank everyone on here for the assistance in completing this event. Like everyone else had real trouble with the Nurburgring first attempt lapped 7:24. Realised I needed to learn the course and after two weeks of only racing a variant of the Nurburgring 4h 24h etc. I finally completed it this weekend with fruity's tune (near enough with the transmission) with a 7:01. It's just about practising the course over and over and learning where the breaking points are.

Controlled sliding is really required to maintain enough speed through the turns to win the event.

I Yesterday I have bought yet another Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 '08, and set it up to Shoe67 set up. I didn't have time to drive it, I wanted to try new 380PP NR-A Roadster Cup. What makes me little worried is that that car is around 1380KG with only 510BHP... I have another Gallardo in my possession which is 1360KG with 560BHP, and I could manage 2nd with it.
Not saying anything, will give it a try. Anyway I am desperate so I'll do anything to gold last race from this event NOTORIOUS Nurburgring :-)

I was having trouble with Nurburgring too... but I used Shoe67 set up and it worked fine to me. I made the 1st place, FINALLY!

I tried to use your tune but the gear things just won't go low enough?!! For eg 1.211 goes down only to 1.378 or something I don't remember. So I set it to the lowest it can go but I keep sliding off. PLEASE HELP
 
One tip regard Shoe67's set up: I didn't change AERODYNAMICS, TORQUE SPLIT and the TRANSMISSION settings... the first two, I didn't find in general settings, and the last one (transmission) I had the same issue about getting it low enough, so I ignored it... and it worked fine either way... I made some mistakes during the lap, but I managed to make the first place.

If you run perfectly, you can win the gold medal with no trouble. With these settings, I made the 1st place in 2 races.
I won the gold medal with 7:08, cause in the last turn I hit the 1st place car... if I didn't do it, I would finish 2nd.

And about sliding, I used "Skid recovery force" setting on... it makes you go slower, but helps you keeping the car on track... and I used traction control 5. I'm kinda amateur. Those who are pro, use all these settings off, cause they can race faster. But I have trouble with sliding, so I race using these settings, and it's enough to get the gold medal.
 
Skid Recovery Force makes you much faster. Anyone who says it slows you down is completely wrong. ASM makes you slower. Also, what do you mean by "couldn't find the settings" for torque split and aerodynamics?
