Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 (Murci Replacement) More Images Post 30

It's more of a "Speedster"-esque version, similar to SLR Sterling Moss. It's a concept now, but seeing as Lamborghini have gone as far as to sell the Sesto Elemento, I wouldn't be surprised if they offer this for sale in very low numbers for 7 figures.

Ah, okay, thanks. 👍

" Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., unveils the new Aventador J (pronounced "Yoh-tah").

The Lamborghini Aventador J is a radically open automobile conceived as a "barchetta": in place of the classic front windshield there are two small wind deflectors, which make it the lowest car ever made by Lamborghini.

The Lamborghini Aventador J is fully functional, registered for road use and will be sold as a one-off. It makes use of Forged Composite parts, like the bucket seats. Forged Composite is an innovative carbon fiber material which was used for the first time by Lamborghini in the Sesto Elemento monocoque. The seats are clad in a special, new carbon fiber based textile, called CarbonSkin, which represents the first application in a car.

Beautiful.

It's a sportsbike for two that manages to have a lower top speed than a Hayabusa with nearly five times the power.

That's because it probably has the drag coefficient of a semi-truck. You have two enormous rollbars protruding into the wind, scooping the airflow down into two water buckets where the driver and passenger are supposed to sit.

They've removed the roof of the Aventador, the radio, the sat-nav and whatnot, and they can't even declare how much weight they've saved. Possibly because it's embarrasingly slight.

So it's a pointless supercar, with worse performance than the standard version and an incredibly low top speed for a 700 hp monster. They should make it a full production model. They'd sell scads of them. I'd buy one!

Beautiful.

Embedded it for you. That color is stunning.

That's one of the few convertibles/roadsters I can think of that I'd rather have over the equivalent hardtop.

Stunning.

Thanks for the embed squirly, I was in a bit of a hurry yesterday (medical issues), so I didn't see whether it'd worked properly. And also i'm an idiot :P .

As for the car, as I've said, it's incredible. Can't wait to see it in the flesh, as these things tend to look 1000x better when you actually see them, and admire the design.

Too bad it's only a one-off, and too bad it costs 2.5 million :( .

However, does anyone find that the seats look a little uncomfortable? I don't know how well my butt/back would do sitting in that for a few hours :P .

Saw my first Aventador Roadster yesterday at a band event in Cowboy Stadium! Car came into the tunnels while we were lining up, no pics but what a stunning car! Pictures really don't do it justice!

Lamborghini bosses say they won't make a RWD version of the 690bhp Aventador because it has too much power and torque

So Lamborghini is admitting their customers are incompetent when it comes to taming a RWD Aventador

The car is split 30/70 to begin with & can send more to the rear under WOT. Absolutely pointless for a RWD model.

2017 facelift will get more aggressive aero and more power.

Looked fine the way it was, already modern enough to not be changed. Also is that the roadster they're testing? Look at the engine cover.

They'll be testing both coupe and roadster versions.

Sant'Agata Bolognese — Not content with its cars being referred to as "beasts" or "monsters", Lamborghini has today added literal fangs to its top-of-the-range Aventador model.
