Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 (Murci Replacement) More Images Post 30

It looks absolutely amazing and as is often the case with Lambos it is extremely good value for money, you have to spend a hell of a lot more for a better power to weight ratio!

I must admit I agree that the center console looks a bit naff and sticking the stereo by the drivers knee seems like a bit of an after thought...not that anyone will be looking down there.

I thought I did see a 500 lbs weight reduction, 1165kilograms isn't possible for a V12 hypercar...

The car will weigh ~3470 pounds (1580kg). Here's a couple more pics before we get official photos from Geneva. Cant wait!

Again, I'm not a fan of the colour but it will look amazing in black or white. There was a glimpse of a white one with black wheels in the background of a photo I posted earlier so can't wait to see the full thing 👍

That's not much lighter than the 1665kgs of the model it replaces, considering the effort they put in. They can still have a V12 by making a mini version, perhaps a 3.0 V12 turbo.

True but remember this car is larger than the Murcielago in almost every direction (which wasn't exactly a small car to begin with). Despite which, it's 100kg lighter than a Ferrari 599, 150kg lighter than a Nissan GT-R and 450kg lighter than a Bugatti Veyron!

And it goes without saying that none of those are slow cars...

What about the MP4-12C though.
It might be smaller, but so what?

Back to Aventador news:
"Its 6.5-litre, dry-sumped V12 has eight per cent more grunt, at 691bhp — enough for the 1575kg, four-wheel-drive Aventador to reach 62mph in 2.9sec and a top speed of 217mph. But CO2 emissions fall by around 20 per cent compared with a Murciélago’s, at 398g/km."

From what I hear the Mclaren is ridiculously fast. I wouldn't really put them in the same class though. I see the Mclaren as a competitor for smaller/lighter cars like the Gallardo, 458 etc.

Speaking of which, I wonder when they are going to reveal the successor to the LP560-4...

I can't believe that the car only weighs ~3400lbs. Given how large the old Murc was, that is absolutely mind blowing for me. Putting down nearly 700 BHP certainly helps as well. I'm very surprised, Lamborghini. Aside from the SV, I was never much of a fan of its predecessor, but this is certainly starting off on the right foot.

Now we just need to update the comparatively ancient Gallardo.

And with that... my interest in any modern Ferrari just took a huge hit. This is the proper, dramatic, supercar :D
Specs sound incredible, and considering it's quite a bit longer than the Murc (though slightly narrower and the same height), packs all this extra tech and power, the weight savings are impressive. You know what else weighs this much? An E46 M3.

Why couldn't I be rich now?

By the time I've saved up enough money, and after I've gotten my 'Vette (that comes first!) this will be more expensive or no longer in production. And I don't fancy playing the lotto because if I wanted to play with statistics, I'd just stick my head in a Hadron Collider.

I was hoping all the pics I'd seen up until today were wrong, and that it had a different name.

Oh well guess nice hypercars are gone. This and the new Pagani look crap and have forgettable names. At least thank god this has a naturally aspirated engine so will sound nice unlike the twin turbo Pagani.

Chrsitian bale is breathing a sign of relief now the problem of choosing the Murci or the batmobile has been solved with this car .I didn't like the name untill I heard Someone pronounce it right .Now I Know why MP4-12C is a horrible name for a car :D

LOVE this car!! Was never a complete fan of murcielago. This is like the Reventon, Gallardo + New stuff had a baby and its awesome. Love it, want it in GT5!

It's funny because that's exactly how I thought it should be pronounced and I'm still not a fan of the name. It really is a good looking car, but I need to see it in something other than that horrible red/orange colour. It doesn't sit as well with me as the Murcielago which I think looked perfect, but I'm sure the aggressive lines will grow on me

They should have a spanish person say the name as the narrator puts a pretty heavy american twist on it. Aventa-door? He even says monocoque in some weird, alien way. Mono-coke?

AWD has been one of the cars biggest selling factors because it helps keep them planted very well. Planting RWD-only in a car like the Murcielago would be a quick way to overwhelm the numerous amount of wealthy folks who buy them seeing as they still pull off stunts like this.

 the guys still laughing at them is gold

And they still can't get their 🤬 straight and on the centerline of the car.. look:

:ouch: it hurts my need for symmetric design!

That's excellent news, Lambo are still barely contained lunacy! :D

At first I didn't like the look of this, I felt they played it safe styling wise and it looks too similar to current Lambos. Then I just realised that this isn't a problem at all, it's awesome!
