I hate the colour but like Urus. The rear fender flare may be too much for me though.

The Land Rover Evoque looks every bit as good, and at a fraction of the price. I think the Land Rover people should be happy - it ought to drum up a few extra sales for people who want the look of the more high profile Lamborghini without the matching price.

But aside from the name, it looks good for an SUV. I can't wait for the comparisons with the Cayenne and LM002

i realized that logo is Toyota's logo and then i

yeah finally they should make a bit more similar to the aventador

But making all the cars look the same is Lambos problem.

Exactly how do Lambo's cars look "the Same"? I can pretty much tell the Gallardo, the Murcialago and sesto Elemento and Aventador apart.

Renderings looked better, in my opinion. The front end looks like they took a car front and taped it to an SUV body.
How many yards before the rear arches cut through the tires? Looks like the body wasn't correctly fitted to the chassis. A last minute job.

The cars have the same body shape, and with minor body work could be made to look like any of the other models.

All the Ferraris are different.

So because they have a similar body shape, that constitutes them Looking all the same? They do not share the same dimensions and therefore, it would take more then minor bodywork to make them look like any of the models.

Look at the air intakes, the light shape, the Reventon is just an updated Murci and the Gallardo is only slightly different from those two. They all have the same body shape and when you look at Ferrari or any other sports car brand you can see large differences between models.

Wait, you're comparing 3 Lamborghini's that are all coupes and were all in production in 2008. So why do we have one Ferrari from 1995 that's a Spyder, one from 2002, and one from 2012?

You only compared the LP560-4 and the LP640 to the reventon(the car that pretty much has set the new design language to those two), not the original models that first showed up and neither of those look alike. And since you interestingly bring up old models for Ferrari , you apparently don't count the Diablo or the Countach for Lambo, neither of which also don't look like the Reventon.

You posted Lamborghini's from recent times, yet Ferrari's from different eras. Now if you take the new Ferrari's from the past two years:

I could say the same about their front fascia and headlights

Anyways, as for the Urus, the real car seems a bit... unfinished. As stated before, it looks like an SUV body was stuck onto a chassis which was not properly ready.

This is what we call "cherry picking", boys and girls.

Thanks for nothing, Volkgagen-Audi Group.

This looks horrible what is Lamborghini thinking? I don't know, Lamborghini used to be one of my favorite companies but no so much anymore. It seems like they now try to hard to be extreme but really aren't pushing the limit at all. To me their new cars just seem like Audi's (boring) with a better design but nothing that makes them like the Countach or Diablo.

In the last 10 years all the Lambos have had the same shape.
You just have to look at the last 10 years at Ferrari to see the difference.
575, 430, 360, Enzo, 458, California.
Some of the cars do look alike but most are differerent, something that Lambo could learn.

I would say the 360, 430 and 458 all have roughly the same shape. Can't even comment on the others as Lamborghini doesn't make any FR cars or crazy cars like the Enzo was.

Brand identity issues apart, this is one of the cleverest moves by Lamborghini SpA in the last years. They already have the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q7 and Touareg on the luxury SUV market. The question is: Are you way too wealthy to be seen driving a lowly Cayenne? Lambo has got the right car for you. This will bring more juice to Sant'Agata banking accounts and in overall is a very thought out decision.

Who buys a SUV when your that rich? It doesn't look very big either. I rather get a Gallardo and get a Escalade or a Range Rover (which looks much better than this BTW).

Mommy needs to bring the kids to school. And a Escalade is not expensive enough for the people who will buy this, unless rapper or something.

As strange as this may sound, most people disregard low-slung coupes because of their impracticality and effort to drive, be that due to the lower visibility or stiffer suspension.

Performance is not the main driver for most of the car buyers, brand association and styling is often the main reason for a car purchase. With the Urus, you've got a brand that is admired by the general public, in an easier to drive, still considerably stylish and better to live with, vehicle. Not to mention that the general public lists the SUVs as safer vehicles than sports cars. Those are all arguments that count for the non-car-geek people.

To answer the question, who buys an SUV when you're that rich? Dozens of thousands of people, every year.

The 911 Carrera S and the BMW X6 are roughly the same price around here, guess who outsells who by a factor of 6? Yep, the SUV is the clear winner.

Fair enough, but I still think they should have done the luxury Sedan. That thing could have been really classy. SUV will never that classy.:grumpy:

He also revealed the model will ride on the PL73 platform that will underpin the next-generation Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg and the production version of Bentley's EXP 9 F concept. While the platform will be made out of steel, Reggiani says the model has a targeted weight of 4,400 lbs (1,996 kg). In order to hit this target, the crossover will likely have carbon fiber reinforced plastic seat shells and an aluminum-magnesium hood, tailgate and doors.

Reggiani said the model will likely use a twin-turbo V8.....engine could be based on Audi's 4.2-liter V8 and have an output of approximately 600 hp

Lamborghini will sell 3,000 crossovers annually

i was expecting at least a v10 engine taken from the Gallardo
but i think its not very bad with a 600bhp v8 engine

They've left it too long in my opinion, the concept's 2 years old and we've heard pretty much nothing since then. Bentley's supposed 200mph SUV (which would be on the same platform as the production Urus) would most likely cannibalise a lot of Urus sales as well.

Funny thing: Cars like the Urus aren't really affected by global market trends. We saw that fact during the big recession a few years ago. The sort of person who things a Cayenne Turbo S is too plebian will buy a Urus no matter what, especially in the Middle East.

I don't see why a fifth model on the same platform is necessary; four of which are already luxury marques, regardless of the economic weather, it seems like overkill in a saturated area of the market. Exotic brands don't need more than a handful of nameplates, by my reckoning, they're supposed to be rare birds. And a Lamborghini is supposed to be a bizarre thing; diluting that down to a Land Rover seems more of a decade-old attempt to follow market trends than a LM002 statement.

Uh-Roos or you-Roos just sounds ungainly, anyhow. I like it as a bit of an angular shooting brake, dial the suspension ride height down to typical exotic-car levels. Problem is that those wagons by any other name...don't have terrific sales numbers.
