Since no one else is competing and no reason to extend the time. How about I just cycle this tommorrow and pick the next challenge. Mind you it will be a tough choice as this was a good one.

Would you object to waiting for Igni to submit a time? He just came off a 24 hour race and was taking a quick break before jumping into this one. :)

Thanks, BH. I really want to give this one a shot, but I had to give my PS2 some time to rest and recover. I had it on for about 3 weeks while I chipped away at the Sarthe 1 24hr race. I won it for 180 points and the obligatory prizes (R8 and 1.2mil Cr). I'll begin working away at this tomorrow. I should have a decent time posted soon.

I would like to participate in this but I don't understand why you put more than one lap time. Can someone answer me?

Cause I wrote down a time, then eventually improved upon it. You don't have to if you don't want to, but I think its easier to add times then remove them. I put all of them in the Benchmark list either way when the round cycles.

I did to give an indication on what I ran until I got my best time.

Thanks! I shall now go to my PS2. :)

I just remember that I'm terrible in this track. :ouch:

Track: Opera Paris
Car: Lancia STRATOS '73
Times: 1'24.662
_____:1'22.153
_____:1'20.722
Tires: R5
Course Style: Normal
Upgrade: Extreme
Horsepower: 322 BHP
Driver: Fabmaru

Fabmaru your not terrible at this track, your in the ball park. The rest is fine tuning your car and good driving.

P.S. If you interested I didn't use a wing. It would look silly, but it would help considerably.

I tuned the car a bit, and than a lot and I'm just hopeless with most cars in that track:grumpy:. And what is the ball park?:confused:

Best time for me: 1:18.404 (with 0/15 downforce settings) and 1:19.222 (no downforce). I ran both since I couldn't remember if a wing was part of the upgrades or not.

Took lots and lots of laps trying to get the kink on the back straight ironed out as well as properly setting up my approach to the first set of switchback corners.

Did I win?

Actually, I went back and started monkeying with the settings and came back with an absolute best of

*drumroll*

1:17.480

I set my suspension thus:
springs= 4.6 / 5.7
heigh= 102 / 107
bound= 2 / 2
rebound= 4 / 4
camber= 3.0 / 2.5
toe= zeroed
stabilizers= 2 / 2

transmission was at autoset 8

Downforce= 10 / 30

LSD= 10 / 25 / 10

There're several places where time could be better, such as the first major right hander and the following set of switchbacks. Also, I went a bit wide in the complex hairpin right before the main straight on the backside, but I had a hard time getting a more perfect lap to fall into place. I'm sending a copy of the replay to Flynn so he can verify.

Technically Ignignoc N Err failed to submit any of his times in the proper form, of which he could be disqualified. Since you guys are new to this and helped revive it, I will let it go this time.

Round 12 is over!
Ignignoc N Err had the best time with BH-21 the second best. Ignignoc N Err picks the car and track for round 13. Please use the following example for the posting when you make it.

Example:
Round 1 (Bold, text size 4)

Infinity G35 Coupe '03 (New)
Fuji Speedway '90s (Normal)
