Looking forward to seeing it.
Out of curiosity: what speeds did you maintain through the first tunnel left-hander and the last left-hander leading into the main straight?
I believe, if my addled brain serves me right, it was 79-81mph in the first tunnel left hander, sticking close to the guardrail on the inside all the way through, and I got down to 64-65 mph, in the last left hander onto the straight.
Driving a stock Miata is all about conservation of momentum so it's really important to keep as much speed as possible through the turns as 120HP doesn't give you much giddyup to storm off down the straights!
I got alarmingly close to the inside wall in the penultimate turn too, maintining about 81mph there too, but I checked the replay pausing throughout the turn in photomode, and there's no touch, something upheld by the data analyser too.
Flynn77 - A USB device can't save replay files by itself, you need an ARMax or MAXDrive + the associated PS2 disk for saving them. You may find them on Craigslist or eBay now, but I'm not sure if they make them anymore.
I can upload my replays as .max files if anyone wants them, but it's a lot more hassle than simply filming them. It does allow others to download them and put them through the data analyser and use them as ghost laps though, which is why they were actively encouraged for participation in the GT3/GT4 WRS series. You can't obviously do anything with a YouTube video other than watch it!
Off to GameStop now to see what they've got in the way of used PS2s.
*Edit* Seems they've refurbed fatties for $49.99. Traded in a few old games and a network adaptor (for $5), plus my old unit to be reconditioned (for $10), paid $5 for a year's warranty and now have a unit that'll read my old GT4 disk and the MAXDrive disk first time every time. (For now...)
Anyway, I'm back in action, back from work, and here's what you guys were after (again excuse the quality I don't have a video capture card in my laptop, so cellphone video is all you get!):
