CSL has a 50/50 weight balance. And it has superb (straight from the PD gods) handling.

Besides checking the stats of the car, PD gave that car their magical blessing.

Oh, well that would explain it. I would now choose the CSL over the GTR, but before I started down this road, I would've preferred the GTR.

Did the '90 Supra. Tied with its brother, the Aristo/GS300.

02:27.8 1997 Toyota Supra RZ 338 5500 407 3500 3329 9.8 8.2
02:34.7 1990 Toyota Supra 2.5GT Twin Turbo R 284 6200 277 5000 3351 11.8 12.1
02:34.7 2000 Lexus GS300 298 5500 362 3500 3704 12.4 10.2

Haven't done any RUF's yet, so here's the first one.

02:23.1 2000 RUF 3400S 318 7000 276 5000 2866 9.0 10.4

That's 2 tenths quicker than a 2004 Corvette Z06. The handling is perfect.

That's good you haven't tried the yellowbird.that car is a nightmare

You know I tried the Yellowbird and it's just not possible without a wheel for some reason. I hate that car with the controller.

I hate that car too.that car is a lot of fun around Toyko r246 but its a nightmare around fuji

You mean Suzuka? Fuji's not in GT5 lol

02:38.7 1991 Honda Prelude Si VTEC 219 7500 167 6000 2822 12.9 16.9
02:39.7 1998 Honda Prelude SiR S Spec 220 7000 167 6500 2800 12.7 16.8
02:41.5 1998 Honda Prelude Type S 221 7000 168 6500 2888 13.1 17.2

Yup, I'll take the old Prelude over the new ones any day. Peak torque comes 500rpm sooner which helped put it at the top of the pile.

Fuji speedway is in gt5.fuji is short for Fuji speedway.i think the yellowbird slides because the car think it can go faster sideways then straight

oh yeah Fuji Speedway lol I forgot. That's what happens when the only track you see every day is Suzuka hahah. Yeah the Yellowbird is just extremely lightweight, and all the power starts at the rear and ends there too. If the engine was in the front or even in the middle, it would handle a lot better. Here's a real life Yellowbird at the Nurburgring: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6Thomd4BQg

Merry Christmas everybody lol.

Do yourselves a favor and never, ever drive this car. It sucks.

02:36.5 1988 Toyota Supra 3.0GT Turbo A 272 6000 269 3000 3373 12.4 12.5

Close one between the 1988 and 1990. All are very good cars with gradual oversteer.

I'm finished with the Evo's!

02:23.7 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII RS 330 6500 323 3000 2910 8.8 9.0

02:36.7 1992 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR 252 6000 233 3000 2734 10.8 11.7

The Evo VII RS is the fastest Evo in GT5.

Edit: I was wrong...there's one more Evo to do...the VII RS which just popped up in my UCD. This should be faster than the VIII MR GSR...

How the older evos faster then the newer ones

02:23.7 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII RS 330 6500 323 3000 2910 8.8 9.0

The 2010 Evo X is very heavy and has less power. The GSR's are the base model, MR's have no air conditioning or radio, and the RS is geared for rally racing and that works well on Suzuka's tight corners.

You can probably do a little bit better with some of the Evo's, but for the most part, all of the Evo's are very similar.

02:37.8 Gran Turismo Racing Kart 125 SPL. 28 12000 14 9500 198 7.1 14.1

Yeah, a go-kart is faster around Suzuka than a bunch of cars I've tested. It can take the entire drift section at top speed 86mph.

I broke the 2 minute barrier too.

1:54.887 in the Peugeot 908

You might do 1:53 because at the last corner I braked too early

I've been without a PS3 for about a month and a half, but I got a new PS3 and got bored so I threw around some cars at Suzuka. My best time in the Cerbera Speed 12 was 2:22.4 :sly: I was hoping you'd driven the Yellowbird but I guess not, if you decide to try it I got 2:24.2. It really isn't that bad. I should note that all the cars I tested were on stock SH tires with no aids (No ABS either).

So,with both of these cars, your faster then the series one supercharged and the impreza

The TVR Speed 12 is almost as bad as the Yellowbird. I could not get a clean lap with either car without sliding around every corner. I could probably knock 2 seconds off my Speed 12 time if I try more but it's too annoying. I like cars that don't try to kill me ;)

Today I'll be doing the Peugeot 206 RC. It has a 2.0L 175hp and weighs 2425 lbs. Should be a lot of fun, like a Honda. Not sure what other cars to do anymore.

If you guys have an Evo VII RS, you should try it out. Too much fun.

02:39.8 2003 Peugeot 206 RC 181 7000 155 5000 2447 13.5 15.8

Only a tenth slower than a Prelude SiR S Spec, and faster than a Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GTS and an MR2 Spyder. Pretty fun car really.

Next up: Opel Speedster Turbo, and then maybe the non-turbo.

02:35.4 2000 Opel Speedster Turbo 206 6000 193 2000 2216 10.8 11.5

5 seconds slower than a 1990 NSX, and 7 seconds slower than a 1998 Lotus Elise Sport 190.

A tenth slower than the MR2 GT-S.

02:41.7 1980 Renault 5 Turbo 165 6000 161 3500 2138 13.0 13.3

I was expecting more out of this car for some reason. It's old, but it's faster than a 1997 Honda Civic Type R.

02:39.4 2001 Nissan Primera 20V 205 7000 159 5000 2910 14.2 18.3

This car was the first Nissan front-wheel-drive to have a 6 speed manual transmission.

Ties with:

02:39.4 1996 Nissan 240SX 220 6000 208 4500 2756 12.5 13.3
02:39.4 1983 Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX (Z31) 235 5200 258 3600 3042 12.9 11.8

Funny how all three are Nissan's. Now I'm going to do the 2008 Nissan Fairlady Z. Should be about 10-15 seconds faster lol.

Edit: yep, almost 13 seconds faster.

02:26.7 2008 Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34) 338 7200 274 5200 3373 10.0 12.3
02:35.8 1998 Nissan 300ZX 2seater (Z32) 291 6200 303 3600 3351 11.5 11.1

Need to do the Z33 still, but that's a huge difference. The 300ZX is very tail-happy. The 370Z is more planted.

I love cars that give me a challenge. The trick is to use about 50 percent throttle to get it around the corners and then simply hammer it. The problem is that the thing just hit an apex to save it's life. Later today I'll try and drive some other cars that you've driven.

02:27.9 2007 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) 317 7000 270 5000 3263 10.3 12.1

1.2 seconds slower than the Z34.

02:44.2 1990 Infiniti G20 156 6500 143 5000 2668 17.1 18.7

Preeeeetty slow, but handles nice.

Will do the 2003 350Z later or tomorrow.

How did you beat my MR2 by 2 seconds lol I need to retry that.

The 2007 Fairlady is a premium 350Z and the 2003 is a standard 350Z and weighs a lot less.

So here is the battle of the 350Z and 370Z

02:24.8 2003 Nissan 350Z (Z33, US) 295 6000 281 5000 2910 9.9 10.4
02:26.7 2008 Nissan Fairlady Z (Z34) 338 7200 274 5200 3373 10.0 12.3
02:27.9 2007 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) 317 7000 270 5000 3263 10.3 12.1

The 2003 is 460 lbs lighter than the 2008 and 350 lbs lighter than the 2007. That's a lot less weight to throw around. So the 2003 US-edition 350Z is the best Z in GT5, carrying just 9.9 pounds per horsepower.

You just gave me a run for my money with your Countach 25th anniversary time. It took me 45 minutes to beat it, but I got down to 2:20.9. :dopey:

Dang you beat me by 3 tenths of a second! One car length! I don't like that car enough to give it another go. You can have that one lol. I will do the MR2 though, that 2 seconds is bugging me.

Did you try to shave 6.5 seconds off your Mazda rx8 time

3:01.170 in the nissan leaf.

This thing is sllloooww

lol no. I will do that one again by tonight's end though. I might have been too easy with that car and didn't try as hard as I could have.

Wow even a Honda Element is faster than that Leaf lol

I got 2:34.1 with the MR2 GT-S. That's 1.2 seconds faster than when I first tested it. Still 7/10ths a second slower than yours hmm....I could probably match your time if I spent all night on it lol

Anyway, 2:34.1 ties with the Mugen S2000.

I got 2:34.1 with the MR2 GT-S. That's 1.2 seconds faster than when I first tested it but still what, 5 seconds slower than you? I did my absolute best man, I need proof of that time you got lol Yours is stock right even the tires?

Anyway, 2:34.1 ties with the Mugen S2000.
I saved the replay so I should be able to get a picture in a little bit, my brother is hogging the TV right now. But yes %100 stock, on the stock CS tyres. No aids at all. I think the only way I could get any faster than that would be to use a wheel, which I can't afford.

I've been reading the progress of your times posted, great job 👍 I am curious about the MR2 GTS'97, I have one in the garage, so I gave it a try, stock, engine overhaul, it's got quite a distance already. Using comfort soft tires it came with, no ABS, no other aids, A spec practice mode, grip real, tire wear/fuel on, I got 2:34.141 on my 2nd lap :D, with a few slow corner, so another half second or more is possible.

GTTurtle, I was confusing the MR2 and RX8. I got 2:34.1 with the MR2 GT-S, the same time as Ridox above me. I believe your time of 2:33.4 There was a lot of steering correcting while cornering. The whole lap made me very uncomfortable.

When GT6 comes out I'll do this all over again, hopefully with a wheel.

I'll do the RX-8 in a little bit, Dante.

Okay I got 2:32.4 with the RX-8 this time. I originally got 2:35.1 so almost 3 seconds better. What did you get before, a 2:28? How the heck? lol You sure it's the 2007 and not the 2003? I still don't see where I can find 4 seconds in this lap.

Just found an Evolution VIII RS. I thought I was finished with the Evo's but I guess this will be the last one, and most likely the fastest because the RS models are beasts.

Yup, fastest Evo by a full second.

02:22.7 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII RS 330 6400 342 3500 2910 8.8 8.5

8.8 pounds per horsepower. Under 3,000 lbs. Great car. Geared perfectly for this track. Took the last corner at 115 mph before the S-curve.

Fully modified it has 533hp, 458ft-lbs, and weighs 1098kg or 2421 lbs. Sick.
