Got a feeling the car ( MR2 GTS'97 ) was rather too mushy when negotiating the esses, too much roll and loose, so I went to GT Auto and did chassis refresh. That alone made the car a whole lot better, less roll and firmer, I got 2:33.749 on 2nd lap again with tire wear on ( some slides here and there ). Another lap have the 1st sector 0.6 second faster ( 1:07.2xx ), 2:32.xxx would be in reach with a better run :D The car had more than 15,000 miles on it, around 250+HP, a low miles or brand new one would be even faster.

GTTurtle, I was confusing the MR2 and RX8. I got 2:34.1 with the MR2 GT-S, the same time as Ridox above me. I believe your time of 2:33.4 There was a lot of steering correcting while cornering. The whole lap made me very uncomfortable.
Darn, I just took pictures and everything.

Edit: You should try the NSX-R road-going thing. It's in the OCD now. It's the fastest car I've tested so far, running 2:13.XXX times with stock tires and stock downforce setup.

Okay I got 2:32.4 with the RX-8 this time. I originally got 2:35.1 so almost 3 seconds better. What did you get before, a 2:28? How the heck? lol You sure it's the 2007 and not the 2003? I still don't see where I can find 4 seconds in this lap.

Just found an Evolution VIII RS. I thought I was finished with the Evo's but I guess this will be the last one, and most likely the fastest because the RS models are beasts.

I'm not sure where I got 2:28 but yeah,it's a 07

2:13 isn't too fast. Try the Viper GTS-R Team Oreca or the Spoon S2000 Race Car. Those are fast!

I bought the GTS-R Viper today, I'll try it soon hopefully. RH tyres right?

Yeah whatever the car comes with from the dealer. Don't mess with any tuning settings.

02:44.3 1968 Nissan Fairlady 2000 (SR311) 147 6100 136 4800 2050 13.9 15.1

Faster than the 240Z and 280Z.

02:34.3 2004 Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6 24V 239 6200 229 5000 2970 12.4 13.0

V6 has a lot of grunt, but FF + 3000 lbs = Unpleasant handling.

02:40.2 1973 Alpine A110 1600S 143 6500 118 5000 1576 11.0 13.4

^ RR layout, low power, low weight works well here.

Just did the 2004 M3.

02:23.7 2004 BMW M3 356 8000 282 5000 3461 9.7 12.3
02:25.5 2007 BMW M3 Coupe 423 8500 300 4000 3649 8.6 12.2

The 2007 weighs almost 200 lbs more, but I could probably hack at least a second off of that time if I do another 5 laps with it. The 2004 I don't think I can do any better.

02:42.6 1971 Lotus Europa Special 132 6500 118 5500 1609 12.2 13.6

^ MR, 132hp and only 1600 lbs. Can't go wrong.

02:19.9 1987 Honda Mugen Motul Civic Si Race Car 232 8500 151 6000 1962 8.5 13.0

^ As fast as the BMW M5.

02:43.9 1981 Toyota Celica XX 2800GT 174 5500 181 4500 2723 15.6 15.0

Took me a few laps to get used to the handling. It doesn't like to oversteer at all. Now I see why Toyota decided to do away with FR Celica's and make them FF and 4WD. Still, it's only .7 seconds slower than the '86 Celica GT-Four.

02:40.9 2004 BMW 120d 168 4000 263 2000 3120 18.6 11.9

^ Look at the low 168hp, but then you see the 263 ft-lbs @ 2000rpm! Diesels are weird. The car is fun around the corners, pulls strong towards the apex and beyond.

02:11.7 2003 Nissan Nismo Fairlady Z Z-tune (Z33) 403 6500 336 5000 2756 6.8 8.2

I dare you to try and beat that time. I don't think anyone ever will. That's how confident I am. One hell of a Z.

Did the Z28, here's how it matches up against the SS

02:30.0 2000 Chevrolet Camaro SS 342 5000 368 4000 3439 10.1 9.3
02:33.4 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe 295 5000 337 2500 3441 11.7 10.2

Not too much of a difference. Z28 weighs 2 pounds more, has an extra 1.6 pounds per horsepower to carry, and has peak torque coming in 1500 rpm sooner than the SS.

02:43.6 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo 173 6000 182 4000 2381 13.8 13.1

^ I expected more from this BMW. It has a serious oversteer problem and it's just slow.

1 more and I'll have done 200 cars. This has been crazy. I think I'll be done at 200. Maybe.

I've reached # 200! Don't think I'll be doing another 100 cars. I've done most of the major ones anyway. Just reading down the list makes me go O_O ... Lots of ties and good match-ups.

02:34.4 1961 Jaguar E-Type 264 5500 259 4000 2687 10.2 10.4

Do you think the e type got too much roll when you corner?

^ Yes! I thought my eyes were tricking me, but that car definitely has the most body roll I've seen in this game. Still handles well, but could use stiffer anti-roll bars and lowering springs.

02:19.6 2003 Dodge Viper SRT10 524 5500 551 4000 3380 6.5 6.1

Faster than the 2006 SRT10. Tied with the 2009 Corvette ZR-1. A bit of a handful though...Here's all of the SRT10's for comparison:

02:19.0 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR 618 6000 572 5000 3421 5.5 6.0
02:19.6 2003 Dodge Viper SRT10 524 5500 551 4000 3380 6.5 6.1
02:24.0 2006 Dodge Viper SRT10 Coupe 493 5500 518 4000 3450 7.0 6.7

Guess I should do the old Viper GTS's, the 1999 and 2002.

#202

02:31.4 1974 Jensen Interceptor MkIII 403 5000 514 3000 3999 9.9 7.8

Crazy horsepower and torque, but it weighs 4,000 lbs. Needs a bit of oversteer to get around the corners. Only has 3 gears but still hits about 140mph.

#203

02:13.2 2000 Renault Clio Renault Sport Trophy Race Car 307 7500 232 5000 2535 8.3 10.9

This car pissed me off a bit. Racing Hard tires have too much grip. Still managed a very respectable time after a bunch of restarting halfway through a few laps...

#204

02:48.9 1968 Mazda Cosmo Sport (L10B) 132 7000 107 5000 2116 16.0 19.8

It's like a Miata, 20 years before the Miata was invented.

How much better can you do? lol I can probably do better too, but I get bored easily. I don't enjoy spending 30 minutes or more on a single car. I get 3 good laps in and call it a day. If you can get 1:57 I would be extremely impressed.

#205

02:13.0 Mazda Mazda6 Touring Car 320 8000 218 6500 2359 7.4 10.8

Fun car, but annoyed the hell out of me again because of Racing tires -_-

#206

02:14.6 2000 Mine's Lancer Evolution VI 414 7500 307 5000 2668 6.4 8.7

I liked it more than the Mazda6 but it's a bit heavy. Would prefer it 200 pounds lighter.

#207

02:24.8 2000 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS T.M. 323 6500 313 3000 2778 8.6 8.9

Just .2 seconds slower than the Evo VIII MR GSR but 2 seconds faster than the regular Evo VI RS. Tied with the 2003 Nissan 350Z.

#208

02:16.5 2007 Ferrari F430 Scuderia 513 8500 354 5500 2976 5.8 8.4

This car screams, but it is way too tail-happy just like every other Ferrari...

#210 I realize I skipped 209, that's because I counted wrong :/

02:04.1 2000 Vauxhall Astra Super Touring Car 476 7500 387 5000 2205 4.6 5.7

2nd fastest car I've tested so far. This car is glued to the road.

1:57 dead or under 1:58? :sly: Actually, I didn't spend as much time on this car as I did with, say, the MR2. I did about 25 laps in the MR2, 1 in the Viper. Well, technically 3, but the first 2 I was on the wrong tires.

2:03.280 in the loctite Mugen nsx '01 gt500 car

This car is a bit slippery if your a heavy footer but it hugs the ground really good and its faster then a touring car

Turtle, if you can get under 1:58 in the GTS-R Team Oreca, I'd cry.

Hmm, Mugen NSX I'll have to give a try.

#211

02:22.7 2001 Spyker C8 Laviolette 466 7500 368 5000 2359 5.1 6.4

You need a light foot to get this car around this track...it's MR, weighs 2360 lbs and has 466hp lol it is an MR2 on steroids (almost 12 seconds quicker!) Tied with the Evo VIII RS.

#212

02:37.9 1973 Lancia Stratos 194 7000 174 4000 2161 11.1 12.4

Awesome car. Takes a lot of work to control it, but it's rewarding. Only a tenth slower than the Racing Kart 125.

How the 2003 viper feel compare to the 2006 viper

1:53.816 in the Peugeot 908 hdi fap team oreca matmut

That's 1.071 seconds faster then the team oreca total

The 2003 Viper is 70 pounds lighter than the 2006 with 31 more HP and 33 more ft-lbs of torque. Maybe if you break in the 2006 for a few thousand miles it will have better HP and torque numbers but the fact remains the 2003 has the weight advantage.

#213

02:36.4 1968 Honda S800 RSC Race Car 102 10500 54 8500 1455 14.3 26.9

Most go-kart-like handling of any car in this game. Only 102hp and 54 ft-lbs of torque and still managed to beat a 2006 S2000 by 3 tenths of a second!

How you get 2:37.i could only get 2:38 in the kart 125?

Woooh 1:59.064 in the nissan gtr r35 tc.understeer everywhere.

I dunno how I got 2:37 in the Kart 125, but I have the replay lol keep at it. In a car like that, a 1 or 2 mph difference in a corner can make or break the lap time. If I had a wheel I could probably get a 2:36

Turtle, I hate you lol I have to get back into that car soon to beat you, and the R35 GTR TC also.

#214

02:37.9 2000 Volkswagen New Beetle Rsi 234 6000 243 3000 3340 14.3 13.7

Has nice lift-off oversteer in the corners which helps because this car sucks compared to the Audi TT but I don't really like that car either lol.

So this is pretty weird:

02:04.1 2000 Vauxhall Astra Super Touring Car 476 7500 387 5000 2205 4.6 5.7
02:04.2 1994 Vauxhall Calibra Super Touring Car 471 11500 232 9000 2337 5.0 10.1

The Astra is FR, the Calibra is 4WD. The HP is similar but the Calibra revs to 12,000rpm!

#216

02:08.3 2000 Toyota Superautobacs Apex MR-S 315 5400 341 4500 2480 7.9 7.3

It took me forever to get a few clean laps in without the timer turning red on me. I am not used to a car turning so damn quickly lol Good car, if maybe a bit TOO agile...

02:14.4 2011 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 706 8500 521 5500 3472 4.9 6.7

This car is a nightmare. It just feels too heavy. Fast as hell but does not like to go around corners. Used quick e-brake button presses to help the back end come around to avoid losing too much speed. I hit about 160-170mph before the first corner.

I think that'll do it for today. I did so many this weekend I'm burnt out.

Yeah it's annoying, and the Gallardo isn't much better, but I'd rather own the Gallardo because it's hundreds of thousands of dollars cheaper, and apparently not even a full second slower than the Aventador around Suzuka...

OK by now I must seem obsessed lol...This AE86 is pretty good. Faster than a BRZ and Spoon Integra.

Haven't tried the gt-86/frs/brz yet but I think I would try them Tomarrow and feel the differences between the gt-86 and the two other versions

There's no difference between the BRZ and FRS as far as I could tell, but I did do better with the BRZ by .6 seconds...They have the same hp, same torque, same weight. I think the BRZ suspension is better.

02:39.8 2007 Peugeot 207 GTI 183 7000 180 2000 2778 15.2 15.4

Weird thing is, it tied with it's older brother:

02:39.8 2003 Peugeot 206 RC 181 7000 155 5000 2447 13.5 15.8

The 207 has 25 more ft-lbs at 2000rpm but weighs 330 lbs heavier.

02:33.4 1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 Coupe 295 5000 337 2500 3441 11.7 10.2

Ha! How crazy is that?! The '69 tops out at 115mph and drops to 112 if you keep it floored. It's hard to balance it at 115 on the straights with the R2 trigger but I did pretty good. The '69 is also 350 lbs lighter.

02:39.6 1999 Toyota Celica SS-II (ZZT231) 194 7500 139 7000 2513 13.0 18.1

I love Celica's, and what's weird is this one is actually faster than the '91 and '86 Celica GT-Four. Not faster than the '98 GT-Four though. 2 whole seconds slower actually. Still, not bad for a regular Celica. I always wanted the American version of this car, the GT-S. They are expensive though. Here's one on ebay for $9,500 with about 100k miles on it http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Clea...4198449?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item53ee885831

#223

02:09.0 2003 Subaru Cusco Subaru Advan Impreza 326 5800 334 4000 2425 7.4 7.3

Almost as fast as the Toyota Superautobacs MR-S. This is no ordinary Impreza. It's FR and has Racing tires. It just FLIES around the curves, taking the drift section at around 90 mph.

#224

02:08.8 Toyota Altezza Touring Car 315 9500 203 8000 2205 7.0 10.9

Pretty much the same as the Advan Impreza. 200 lbs less but has much less torque.

#224 (apparently I had already done this car, but I did 3 seconds better this time lol I know Suzuka too well now)

02:26.8 1989 Nissan Skyline GT-R (R32) 319 6600 303 4400 3153 9.9 10.4
